I was a CT, CA and a JACK many years ago at Aya-Po. Loved it!!! Sorry to hear that it no longer is open. Many fond memories of Camp Aya-Po.

I went for years. My last experience they firing and hiring like every other day, because the staff members had such bad moral values. All of the Somers residents do not enjoy this place because we are around it all of the time. People from the big cities love it, because they don't have all of the stuff this place does at home. Since everyone was from different cities and towns, everyone kind of stuck with their town and there was always resentment over who came from where. It did not make it enjoyable.

This is a great camp. Well run and I know my kids are safe, well cared for and happy all summer long. Dana is a conscientious leader and the kids love her! My kids have been going for years and they have noticed the improvements to program and structure of their days since Dana took over. I have noticed improvement in the professionalism of staff and safety of the camp! Before Dana I would have never let my kids attend the overnighters! Great camp for all ages.

went there for years, loved it, but Dana recently ran it into the ground, and it seams as though it'll never get better
