My daughter was not well supervised. Her counselor stated she "hated kids and horses and wanted to kill herself." She largely ignored the campers in her charge. Most concerning, the camp forgot to take my daughter to the airport for her return home - despite clear instructions and paying a travel fee. Frightening lack of oversight.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! If you're looking for the perfect riding camp, here it is! The tents, although they were tents, were super cozy and I loved being there with my friends. All the horses are fantastic, and the camp offers free winter leases! The food was stellar, and all the work we did was perfect for your level. I ride as a part of the IEA, and these jumps mirror what we did last season. It really is a wonderful place and I miss it! The price is perfect and you really get a family feel. I loved being able to do Show Jumping, then XC! Everyone here is super sweet and you'll never feel left out. You're never the only new kid and meet friends instantly! It feels like a camp- people you love, warm nights, campfires, home cooked food, and horses! Even for riders on the A circuit, or for riders who haven't even trotted yet, Forrestel is the best place for you. My first session I went from Crossrails to two foot 5 verticals! It was like magic. If you want an amazing camp, try Forrestel!!

I did not like this camp... We slept in tents and it was super hot... We didn't do anything new, only jumped small jumps. The staff was nice, but I didn't get 1 on 1 attention. Several of the girls in the tent I was staying in were complaining about everything. From the pictures, this camp looks like the best camp ever, but I did not find it fun whatsoever. The cross country course was boring, and every morning we got up super early and had to go muck and feed, in our PJs, resulting in dirty PJs, plus we only did laundry once a week. The food was okay, but kind of basic. And the tents were horrible, all hot and buggy. Please do not go here.

Forrestel is the best. This summer (2013) is going to be my 7th summer. Ive been coming to camp since i was 7. I love the horse and counselors. They are all loving and caring. Forrestel is a place i call home. I love everything and everyone at camp. Camp has made me a better rider and became part of my family. Most of the campers are returners and the counselors return too. Forrestel is a big happy family and i highly recommend it. i love forrestel and cant wait til i work there. Forrestel is truly one of a kind and unique. The counselors are all caring and loving. Forrestel is a well rounded camp that i recommend to any equestrian. Forrestel is Family. Every year i look forward to camp. Camp is so much fun! if you have any questions feel free to email me ridingisablast@gmail.com I love camp and cant wait to go this summer! 26 more days!!!

Since the day she finished camp last year, my daughter has been talking about returning this coming summer. Her riding improved in just the two weeks there, she made incredible friends, gained a new level of comfort around horses even though she has ridden for quite some time, and experienced a new appreciation for horses that live in a freer environment than she experiences near the city where we live. The students sleep in tents, and there is nothing fancy about this camp - but the staff consists of expert riders and teachers, and the owner cares deeply about the kids and her family farm. What matters in this camp is that students and staff have a genuine love for horses and riding, and my daughter simply can't wait to experience her second summer at Forrestel.

I have been going to Farrestel for 3 years and Im on their riding team; I love it! The counselers are amazing and the campgraound is beautiful. The activities are amzing and you really have a chance to conect with your horse. Also, you meet people from places around the world which makes you respect other cultures more. I learned how to make friends, archery, better riding equitaion, arts and crafts, wood working, team work, and more. I would recomend this camp to anyone wether you want to ride or do sports. It is amazing, fun, and Ive had the best time of my life there! We do sleep in tents, but they are huge and on wooden platforms with bunk beds and are super comfortable! Its worth every penny!

I went there for a week and while riding, we did nothing new. Also, you live in tents and you get eaten alive by bugs while there. For the most part, the staff is really nice, but one of our counselors wouldn't let us take showers in the morning because we would wake her up. Isn't it supposed to be a shower every day? And not a shower once a week? It was so gross. You also don't get an official riding evaluation , they just ask you for a second about your experience. I would recommend this camp to who wants to make friends, but doesn't mind itchy bug bites an no showers.
