I was fortunate enough to spend 10 summers “under the pines” at Belknap. It is difficult to put into words what the camp meant to me at the time and continues to mean to me today, but what I can say without equivocation, is that Belknap made me a better man. I am a better husband, father, and colleague because of Camp Belknap. I came across this site because I am now looking for camps for my daughter and sincerely hope to find one that can give her the type of experience I had.

My son spent his first summer here from the West Coast just a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. The leaders are truly outstanding young men. Facilities and activities are outstanding. My son was homesick the first week and sent home sad letters, but his leader responded to my email informing me that he had gotten over his homesickness completely and was really enjoying camp. Handled like true professionals!

I am 21 years old. 5 years ago, after spending 9 summers at Camp Belknap, I drove away for the last time. I have never cried as hard as I did on that day, I was devastated by the fact that I could never return the most amazing place on earth. That should tell you something about how special this place truly is. Camp Belknap is THE BEST place you could ever send your son. During my time there, I learned almost everything I know today about being a good man. I can not give enough praise for this place. I would do anything to go back, even for just an hour.....if you are questioning whether or not to send your child to Belknap, you should make the decision right now. Belknap is the best place on earth.

In a few weeks, I will attend my ninth year at Belknap. That should tell you something right there. It is one of the greatest places I have ever been, and the people are the kindest I have ever met. Even if the activities don't appeal, the sheer character of the camp is incredible. The home-grown leadership program is a point of pride for the camp, and only campers who are incredibly kind and confident enter the leadership program; thus, the staff is second to none. The facilities are incredible, as is the waiting list; Belknap is one of the few camps that has 100% attendance, and a waiting list. There's a reason for that.

This year will be my fifth year at belknap. This is the best camp in the country, and for good reason. The hand selected leader system is outstanding. All leaders are kind, and love to have fun. No matter what your interests are, you will find something you will like. They have every thing from sailing, to riflery, archery, baseball, basket ball, street hockey, and a tournament that includes almost all activities. When you show up, even the last session of the year, every thing looks brand new. The mantenence and facilities are amazing. Camp belknap is a lot more than a summer camp, but a home, and a way of life to campers. Fun is the top priority, but the leaders also teach you good life skills, like honesty, respect, and responsibility. Do your son a favor, and sign him up. It will be one of your best disisions. My name is Colin, I am a camper in the Junior division, and this will be my fourth year under the pines. Timmy HI.

Camp Belknap is my absoloute favorite place in the world. I just finished my 4th year there and, honestly, I couldn't name a single bad thing. It is an incredible place there. We have tons of fun but also understand the seriousness and teach us that honesty is important. It is a great camp. It is for kids of all interests, from sports to nature to arts to myths to battles, there is definatly a place for you.

There's a reason why this camp has the longest wait list of any summer camp in the country: there's no place quite like it. The leaders are absolutely incredible people, the facilities are unrivaled and the camp spirit is uplifting. I spent the 6 best summers of my life here.

My sons both go to this camp- they are very different, but surprisingly both of them love it. It truly offers something for everyone, but most importantly it offers something for the soul. The setting is fantastic, the place is immaculate, the staff is unbelievable and the lessons learned are significant. I feel so lucky to have found this place. Next year both boys will go back for 4 weeks and if I let him, my oldest son would go for six. Bullying was never an issue here- please give your sons a gift and send them here. You won't be disappointed.

My three sons have attended Camp Belknap for a total of 23 years. I continue to be amazed at how well Belknap does everything. My boys come home proud of their accomplishments (from sailing to being able to find their own socks), tolerant, kind and thoughtful. The facilities are topnotch and the leadership staff is even better. This camp should be a model for how to run any camp and educators could learn a lot about how to get the best out of kids by observing the interactions at Belknaap.

As a 7 year camper I can honestly say that this place made me who I am. Under the pines of Belknap is my favorite place to be in the world and I can not wait for the day when I get to drop my boys off at camp. Go to their website and read the 12 points of woodcraft, it is what makes the camp run so beautifully.

The staff is top notch as the selection process is very careful and the facilities and activities are great. Also, each leader tries to connect with each camper and tries to make their experience the best it can be.

I signed up my two sons for the camp based on a family friend's extraordinarily positive recommendation. The camp was even better than I could've imagined- the leaders are excellent, the overall program had an inclusive, outgoing, positive philosophy that encourages the boys to be their best and to treat everyone with respect. I was completely surprised when both my sons came back with a new way of looking at the world- unspoiled, open-minded, happy, eager to try new things. The camp is absolutely magical and I can't imagine my boys not being able to go there each summer. Belknap is an amazing place that truly cares about helping young men grow up to be their best.

CAMP BELKNAP IS THE BEST CAMP NONE TO MANKIND! I am a cadet (youngest stage)-. There are so many things that I love about Camp Belknap. First the Adams cup is extremely fun. Second you just can't beat getting to hike beautiful mountains. The water is very fun and warm. Bechu Ball is the best game ever (homemade from Belknap). Meals are amazingly good. Activities are very fun. You get to pick three everyday. Great leaders (Camp Counselors). Great camp traditions. The camp store is awesome. There is a really large waiting list. Crazy sunsets off of lake Winnepasaukee! I am 100% going back.

I have gone to three different camps in New England and without question Belknap is far and above any others. While the facilities are top of the line (belknap has 15 sailboats that can be used daily by any campers, three basketball courts, so many tennis courts I can't even remember how many, and several fields, including a HUGE field that was a former driving range.), the likely reason for this outstanding nature is the leadership. Belknap does not accept applications for counselors (called leaders at camp). Instead prospective leaders are selected from the oldest Division in camp, the Seniors. This method is next to flawless. At another camp I had a crazy french counselor who in fact was fired midway through my stay. Although you don't know who I am, you can sue me if this happens at belknap. This camp honestly changed my life and I will never, ever forget any of my leaders and friends I made there, and I am still in touch with many. Bullying is not an issue.

Bullying is an issue at Camp Belknap and not taken seriously. It ruined the camp experience of my son's whole cabin (except the bully, of course.) We wrote a rating on this previously, but it was removed.

Purely Amazing! I have gone to camp for 5 years now, and no end is in site. Every time I visit I am always greeted with great leaders and activities. The only bad thing is sometimes, you get an annoying kid in your cabin, but the cool kids are much more common so they won't completely ruin your awesome experience.

Camp Belknap has home-grown leaders... 'nuff said. The facilities are just what you need for summer camp... NO ELECTRONICS or candy & soda. The activities rock and every leader and LIT and LC are involved and athletic. There are also crafts and nature for the less physical inclined. Each leader has a cabin of 9 kids, and frequently have a LIT. This means a lot of personal attention. While the price of Camp Belknap is going up, you certainly get what you pay for. And they are good about helping out the less fortunate. The best way I can illustrate how great Belknap is... It is a camp of roughly 360 boys yet has a waiting list twice the population of the camp. Truly it is Camelot.

Honestly the best camp ever I LUV IT!!!Great leadership, perfect and numerous facilities, endless options for each camper, not too expensive but captivates you and makes many of the campers beside myself cry when they have to go home. I'm not joking about that last part.
