I give this five stars in every category, beachside that is what this amazing community deserves. Machaney Ramah is a place where everyone can fit in and feel included in the Jewish community. For many people, it is a second home. You deepen you connection with Judaism in the most meaningful ways at the same time as making friendships that last lifetimes and having the best experiences. The counselors are amazing and are always there for you. So is the rest of the staff and you can tell they put effort and true compassion into their jobs. Lessons are learned that save you from so many mistakes in your life. If you choose any camp to go to, choose this one.

been going here for 5 years, and my parents went too. i LOVE this camp and look forward to going every year. it is religious, but not too religious, the staff are so nice, and the facilities are very clean.

This will be my third year going here this summer. I love Ramah. I've made so many amazing friends that I don't think will ever break. The friendships at Ramah are so different because we live together! Its like having 10-13 temporary roommates. My counselors were amazing too this summer. I love them so much. Sometimes there might be clique formations between the girls but that doesn't really matter. As long as you stick with your friends nothing can phase you. The food has its ups and downs. Sometimes its AMAZING, while other times its.. eh. But that doesn't matter, because you could make yourself a sandwich if you don't like what they have for lunch that day. Overall this is the best camp ever and I recommend your child to go there.

This will be the 4th summer we are sending our 3 kids. We have never seen my children so happy as when they talk about Ramah. They have never complained about the prayer or the Jewish activities. We send them to Jewish camp because we believe it will make a meaningful impact on them. However, the best part is that they don't even realize they are having such a meaningful Jewish experience because theyre having so much fun! The thought and planning that goes into the activities as well as the incredibly high caliber staff continue to impress me every year. Camp Ramah is an incredible camp for families seeking a meaningful and deep Jewish experience for their children that is also a BLAST!

Way to religious! the people are rude, and favor the wealthy children, If you want to send your kids to an amazing sleepaway camp send them to camp JCA Shalom in Malibu, JCA is absolutly WONDERFUL!

The only thing the people at this camp care about is the amount of money your family donates. If you come from a wealthy family, you can literally get away with doing ANYTHING! This place is far too religious. The preaching and hypocrisy makes me sick, especially when it comes from the administration.

Terrible. Spent 10 summers there and even served on staff for multiple years. If you go, be ready for loads of pompous religious indoctrination and red tape. The bureaucracy there is disgusting. The administration unfairly favors the wealthy children over the typical, middle class kids. It is really a summer country club for spoiled, rich, Jewish, kids. Look elsewhere.

My kids have had several fabulous summers at this very well run and extremely fun camp. The facilities are amazing including their new pool with water slides.

Great camp, but be ready to do a lot of praying. Most of the people are really nice. It is a fun camp, it really makes you think.
