Amazing Camp!!!! One of the best experiences of my life. It is such a loving environment, and very well established and put together. It was lacking a bit in outside activities, but you didn't really need it, because you were having so much fun already.

I went here last summer and honestly they have a beautiful facility with windows everywhere and plenty of room to dance, but because of how many people there were it was very crowded. They also only had one 1 1/2 hour technique classes a day. Only one. The pointe classes on another hand were amazing I love the warm ups we did. They really strengthend my feet. Also take note that they do what they call a "lobby chat" where they talk about purity and sexual sins. They put all of us together (ages 12-21) in a room where councelers openly talked about regretful things they've done in the past and then asked us to come forward about anything that we have done. I did not find this appropriate at all considering it had nothing to do with ballet. Everyone was very kind and caring though. When it comes to activities they really need to up their game. also we only had acces to our phones for an hour a day to call our family (not necessarily bad but when away from home it's good to be in contact

The Ballet Magnificat summer camp is one of a kind. It is truly special in that it challenges you in your dance technique and also helps you to grow spiritually. You will not find another dance camp out there like this one. You will come back a much stronger dancer and and much stronger in your faith when you leave Ballet Magnificat's camp. I have attended and recommend it to anyone who wants to be challenged in many ways. You get a variety of dance styles and learn AMAZING choreography from Ballet Magnificat's ballets. You are challenged yet encouraged. A truly special place to spend a part of your summer. Highly recommended.

This camp should be the template for all dance camps as far as the organization, attention to detail and intense training. The staff and companies of ballet magnificat begin planning in the fall for the summer. They are constantly tweeking to improve and make it better. Ballet Magnificat has been around a long time .. 25 years. Kathy Thibodeaux, the artistic director is very well respected in the ballet world having received recognition and honor as a silver medalist in the II USA international ballet competitions. In recent years they have added a pre professional level of which there are 8. The ppl level learns challenging choreography over the 4 weeks and performs it outside and inside the camp. If you are looking for a great ballet camp ...look no further.

This camp is one of a kind because it is a strong Christian Ballet/Dance camp. The Christian emphasis is excellent. The dance training, for the amount of money,is lacking. Only one ballet technique class a day was offered, with the option of also taking jazz and point/partnering depending on your level. But the classes were so packed full of girls that it was crouded and difficult to get a full 1 1/2 hrs of dancing in technique class. Other well-renown ballet schools that produce New York City Ballet Company-worthy dancers offer at least two, if not 3,1 1/2 hour tech classes a day plus point and jazz for same amount of money(Check out CPYB). Also, they don't pay their dorm staff, which means they have to rely on volunteers and sometimes have an inconsistent dorm staff throughout the program. Your daughter may have a different dorm counselor for each week of the four week program that she is there!!! And outside activies with an inconsistant staff are greatly lacking. Most evenings tha
