I had the best summers of my life at Falcon Camp. The staff members were extremely friendly and outgoing individuals as well as great leaders. The different activity areas provide great opportunity for children to explore and learn new skills. The food is absolutely amazing. Falcon Camp is also a great size which allows each camper to receive the individual attention and care they need to help them grow as individuals. Living in the woods in cabins was a really new and exciting experience. If there was one thing I could change about Falcon, I wish I would have known about it earlier!!! You will not have any experience like this anywhere else.

This is a great camp! I went as a camper and then was a counselor for four years. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I can't imagine my life without Falcon. It has transformed me into a confident leader. This is without a doubt one of the best camps. It has taught me so much and I was able to see campers transform from being shy to having confidence and making many friends in just two weeks. It is truly a great place to help kids come out of their shell and really find themselves and have a great time!!

I didn't go to the horse camp, but this will be my 4th summer at traditional camp. One of my favorite places on earth. I love almost everything about Falcon. Who cares if the counselors are not champion equestrians? It's summer camp! I've met some of my best friends here. So much fun. 2 weeks goes by like 2 days. Everyone hides on the last day because no one wants to leave. The people are friendly, there's a positive attitude throughout camp, and it's just overall a great place to be.

Despite some of the reviews I'm reading, I had a absolutely wonderful time in my years at a camper at Falcon. I will agree that the training in the horseback riding lessons can seem harsh, but it is out of good intentions for both the rider and the horse. Falcon is unique in it's style of riding in some aspects, but also teaches basics that are crucial to any rider doing any discipline. As for the facilities, the corral where the majority of the hroses stay CAn be muddy after a heavy rain, or dry during a drout. There is no grass, however, there are several huge round bales of hay that are always accesible, and the water troughs are cleaned daily by the staff. The Stable staff have to have prior knowledge of horses before teaching anything there, whether it was learned when THEY were a camper, or from another source. Falcon is a great experiance for any rider willing to improve themselves in all aspects of their knowledge of horses.

the camp used little baby ponnies. I became really close to one counselor and he told me that he just started riding horses and so did half the staff!!!

This was one of the best camps I've been too. I went to the horse camp and had so much fun. The horses were in a small paddock but only during the week at night in which they got three round bales of hay, during the weekend and the winter the horses go to a 100 acre field with grass, shade, water, and shelter. My riding got so much better and I learned how to respect a horse. The staff was so helpful and the horses were happy and enjoyed their job. The facilities are getting a re-do to better suite the campers as the camp is always full. If you want a great camp to learn at, have fun, and meet new people come to Falcon you won't regret it!

I went to the equestrian camp section and the instruction was awful. My equitation actually got worse as a result of that camp, and I had to spend a year fixing the bad habits the the falcon instructors told me were "the correct way to ride." not to mention, the facilities are borderline inhumane. there isn't a single patch of grass in their paddocks, and the horses are standing in a good 4 or 5 inches of mud. that's extremely dangerous. Also, the stalls are small, poorly cleaned, and uncomfortable for the horses. They are rarely cleaned and don't have bedding. many of the horses were possibly good at one time, but as a result of overuse, they are poorly groomed, somewhat lethargic, and seem overall unhappy. The instructors had me use a saddle that was 2 sizes too small for me, for the mere fact that the campers who had been there the longest got the nicest saddles. Falcon camp had no regard for their campers or their poor horses.
