Overall, my kid really loves the activities at this camp. For an active child who loves sports, this is the perfect camp. However, as a parent of a diverse child, my child found that the children were not very friendly and several children were not kind. When my daughter complained about certain behavior by the other children, she was made to feel that she was the problem. Some of the teen-aged counselors lack maturity to handle certain situations, which make if difficult for children who are struggling with an issue. If that will not be a concern for your child, then it is the perfect camp!

This camp has changed my life. I started going here because my brother worked there. I haven't stopped since. This coming summer will be my 7th and i cant believe how amazing this camp is. Between activities, color war, and counselors this place can not be better. I learned how to swilm at JLC and started at level 2 and on my last day as a camper I got level 7. :) so proud. For all these parents commenting about their children going here you dont know what your talking about. This camp is a place where you make close bonds that will last for a life time. Being taken care of all the counselors and CIT'S an now I get to be a CIT is crazy. Just yesterday I remember stepping off the bus and not know what the cheer JEFFERSON was but by the second day I knew. Being color captain was amazing even though we lost it was awesome. The fake break and breaks are insane. This camp is like sleepaway but you don't sleepover. The overnights are amazing and foods good. This is my home<3 GO WHITE!!!

The camp is fun, it is a family operated and slightly destroying the reputation. The staff is 18 and care free or 38+ and both, very difficult to work with. There are teacher's that are very particular. The children are free to roam and move from activity to activity. THe pool is great the space is vast and backed up to acres of wood. Treatment of staff is childish and calculated by the owners. Parents have a lot of say and the staff has to tip toe around to be sure the parents are happy. Paretns are lied to because Art is separated into ac and non ac and they tell the parents there is only one art room in the ac! they offer more activities than any camp I have ever been to. As a camper three stars as a staff member -1.

This is my oldest's 3rd and my twins' 1st year at camp. I am done...here's why. The scheduling is awful...my kids get to activities and there are often 2 or 3 other groups there, or no specialist...so they end up playing dry-dry-wet or "jump the brick"...which is some stupid game where they jump over towels. My son has had dance like 12 times and tennis once all summer...???? They come home FILTHY and often w/o socks or with wet, sand covered feet. Where is the care? They are 4 years old. The counselors are LAME---no personality. They charge $42 for an overnight and don't even give the kids dessert. No smores? I think Jeff Lake has been getting by on reputation for the last few years. They need to sink some money back into the camp, get rid of the DISGUSTING porto-potties, and hire more staff. No one ever seems to know what's going on here. This place is a dump...stay away. We are NOT going back!

My son will spend his 3rd summmer here and he has had a very good experience. Like most camps in the area the pool is clean, the grounds are neat and the bunks are gross. His counselors are friendly, energetic and provide moderate feedback. Food is good. The bus ride is always on time and lots of fun. The camp also offers a more sports-oriented program.

I went to JLC about a million years ago, and still remember every color war song and cheer. I still see people out at shows with JLC shirts on, and I sing, "J-E-FF-E-R....."

i havent been there in so long, but i loved it. i started going when i think i was three til i was six. i can not remember a single moment that was bad at this camp. believe it or not, i had my first kiss there 8 or 9 years ago. i even still remember how good the activities were.

JLC is seriosly the place to be. You meet the best people who will stay in your hearts for your life. The memories you create here are unforgettable. I've looked at other camps before, but JLC tops all of them, that's why I return every year! This year I am returning for my 9th year as a CIT and I am so excited! I love the little kids there and I can't wait to see my friends again. LOVE U UNCLE IRA! =)

This is going to be my 10th summer at JLC. I absolutely love it there and have made life-long friends and everlasting memories. If you want to have the best summer of your life, go to Jeff Lake Camp. At least take a tour and see for yourself!

i went to this camp for 8 years. i love this place. color war water tramp, arts and crafts and drama were my favorite. i was a cit last year and had an amazing time. i didn't go this year because i have to start saving for a car but i miss it so much i love jlc forever

I <3 this camp. All my best memories and friends are here! I return ever single summer o meet up with all my bffs! Honestly this camp is better than school and you make better friends because you become so close with them! This will be my last year as a camper but next year i am soooo returning to be a CIT! no job could ever be better than working at JLC!

Jeff Lakess iss sooo amazing! No wordds i love this camp. i went there since i was 4 and met my best friends who are still very close to my heart.i always promised i would be back to work as a CIT/counselor.this camp taught me how to live, now i go to lokanda but jjeeff lakews will be in my heart forever! jeff lakes for me not you!
