I spent the summers of 1977–1980 at Camp Davis, starting as a camper at 12, then a CIT/junior counselor at 13 and 14, and finally a counselor at 15. Looking back now at 61, those were truly the best summers of my life. Camp Davis taught me teamwork, leadership, responsibility, morals, and integrity — all while having fun and not even realizing how much I was growing. The experience shaped who I became, and I’m forever grateful for it.

I am a life long member of the boys and girls club and I very fondly remember my times at camp davis. Made my childhood far less traumatic. I was even a junior counselor. Those were the best summers of my life! The counselors were great, activities were phenomal. Loved the themed weeks.(Cheerleading week was my fave). It was an iconic Camp!

My daughter loved camp Davis and at 15 has asked if she could go again. It's too bad camper are only up to age 13 or I would have sent her this summer! Her summer there she was 9 yrs old. It was the first time she had been anywhere alone for a week. Although we worried about how she would do she was thrilled to be there and asked to go back each week through the summer. She not only learned to be independent but learned to get along with others and had an overall great time.

Friendly, conscientious staff. Beautiful facilities. My child loved it and wanted to go back all summer long. He was activitely engaged in activities throughout the day, made new friends, tried new things and had an overall great time. I would recommend this camp to other parents who are sick of recreation programs where staff sit together on a bench while kids run around on a playground......

Camp Davis is a traditional week long overnight camp with tradition camp activities. The Camp is owned and operated by the Providence Boys & Girls Clubs and draws primarily from their clubs in Providence. It's located on a beautiful piece of land adjacent to Schoolhouse Pond and is a great financial value.
