My school went to Burgess for 2 nights 3 days as a 6th grade field trip. Have never had so much fun at a camp outside of my own summer camp. I gave the facilities a four because the bathrooms and showers are not in the cabins, although very close. The lights in the cabins are very dim. The cabins are also sort of small and dingy but otherwise pretty homey. Up to six cabins are connected by a hugeeeeeeee porch that also leads up to the bathrooms. Lots of downtime during the evening. Otherwise, pretty fun. Many of my friends fgo to burgess and Hayward, the sister camp. :) go to this diverse YMCA camp.

My son just returned from his first camp experience and wants to turn right around and return to Burgess. Supportive and sensitive counselors, nice blend of old-time activities with the new, and he claims the food is as good as he's ever had(!). He loved the experience top to bottom and cannot wait for round two next summer. Keep it up.

this is sweet camp that is sometimes a little over protective but awesome activities and the dance is so fun

Charming, well chosen, international staff. Facility is a nice blend of hokey, old-fashioned camp with more modern common areas and equipment. Activities tend towards traditional. Personal attention is exceptional, especially for first time campers. I've shopped around and the value can't be beat. Great location and my son raved about the food.

I have only gone to this camp for 2 weeks but I can already say it is the best camp i have ever been to. I highly recommend this camp.
