Do not give this company your money. They are out of business and collecting money from unsuspecting families. I have paid for 2 weeks and there is no promise for any refunds.

My daughter had a good time. The camp site boasts of cabin a/c and upgraded facilities but not all the cabins are air conditioned. Really not a big deal for a kid. They communicated wonderfully in the beginning, but once we picked her up... not so much. We should have been given a refund from the camp store (our daughter did not spend 95% of the funds we deposited), so when I first asked for a refund they said it was their policy to donate anything left over to the food bank. I did ask for a copy of the policy (since I thought maybe I missed it), and also for a donation receipt (if that's what it goes to) I have had no response. Also, my daughter did not receive the camp t-shirt either, which we paid for and requested at the end of her camp session... no refund, no t-shirt and no response there either. The spring has several alligators... and not just baby alligators either, Bathroom floors and walls are unclean... I heard about all the good and bad on our way home.

Gators aren't a problem. They're baby gators, no more than 3ft long and terrifed of people. They scare them off in canoes, though, too. Also, they got AC units this year that work really well. It even gets cold at night. And I don't recall the bathrooms being anything but clean. They made new bathrooms a while ago & they're really nice, the showers have hot water. And there aren't laundy lines for drying clothes because they have dryers. They even wash each camper's laundry in seperate loads. I was always wearing clean clothes. My family saw pics of me via FB. They took so many I barely needed to bring a disposable camera, haha! I loved all of the counselers, too. They each have their own distinct personality & I can't imagine camp without them. I've made so many new experiences and new friends here at CIS that will last a lifetime! It was definititly worth the money I raised up, I'm glad I came!

This summer was my kids second experience at Camp Indian Springs. The improvements that the new owner Derek Hart aka Nightfall has made are amazing. The cost was higher but well worth the improvements that have been made to the programs and the facilities. A couple of days ago they both asked for an extra week of camp for the upcoming summer. If that doesn't say enough I don't know what does! Good job!!

5 year returning camp parent here. The two reviews below do not reflect the experience my child had! It's a summer camp! Why would you want your child to have AC? That's part of the camping experience! The new owners have put a lot of money into the camp renovating cabins, building a new high ropes course etc. You obviously didn't read your email that the camp is 100% paperless and all of the information you needed was supplied to you in your email when you registered. I'm sorry to go on but it really bothers me that a place that makes such a difference in my child's life is slandered by someone who obviously doesn't read the information provided. I didn't hear you mention one thing about your child's experience. I'm going to assume its because he/she had a wonderful time as my child did. Anyone can email me for a reference at anytime. Thanks! More concerned with taking my money than making sure my child has a good time. COULD NOT GET THROUGH FOR 2 DAYS! SERIOUS LACK OF COMMUNICATION!

Not sure where to begin. when you contact the camp in the beginning they are very quick to respond, but AFTER they have your money and camp is over, just forget it. The camp is way over priced, cabins are awful, no A/C in Florida and wholes in the floor. For over a month since my child had attended the camp I have been trying to get the photos that I paid for from them with no success. I have been told 3 times that they would be mailed to me and I have not rec'd them yet. In the day of social media they have taken forever to get pix posted to FB for the parents to see their kids having fun. other camp post them daily. For the price of a week at this camp you can do much better. I was shocked that they did not mail me any info once I paid and signed up my child. You are just expected to show up and get all the info you need from their website. Keep searching and you will find a better camp for your child.

Our 14 years old daughter had a BLAST. She is 100%, 360 degrees positive and counting down 'til next summer. She spontaneusly ackowledged that she used to be exceedingly focussed on high-brand clothing foofaraw and never asked to go shopping since she came back, nor is she obsessed with make-up anymore. Occasionally she even forgets her cell phone. She is staying in cantact with her mates both boys and girls. What can I say? Despite the concerning lack of communication (cells are not allowed), the frogs in the showers and the sketchy fauna in the spring ... I definitely recommend this camp.

I just signed my child up for the 10 week session. This is his 3rd summer. It's his favorite place in the world. I think that says wonders for the camp and its staff.

Just signed up my kids for the 2013 summer! I visited the camp last week and the new administration is investing a lot of money into the new programming and facilities.

This camp has done everything right the past few years! With new management things are really starting to look up! The new activities that are offered sound fantastic and rewarding for my son. Many renovations have been promised as well. He will be attending for at least 2 weeks this summer and hopefully with his friends too! Way to go CIS!

This camp has come a long way and continues to get better year after year. I would reccomend it to any parent who is looking for a Great camp experience for their child. The cabins could use a little updating though.

My child had an amazing time here! The staff are wonderful. The skatepark was the highlight of my sons session. Its months later and he is still talking about it and is counting down the days until next summer.

Do not send your camper here. You will regret it. This camp is out of date. It looks like no one has been here in years to use the facilities. The buildings are falling apart. Half of the bathrooms are not working. (boys and girls) The camp is in horrible condition all around. The spring where the children are supposed to swim has alligators swimming around. The water is disgusting. The bathrooms have two inch puddles of standing water in multiple places. There are massive holes along the borders of the screen windows for the cabins. you would be better off bringing your own personal tent to sleep in. At least the Mosquitos wouldn't be able to eat you alive at night. The main lawn where te kids play there sports is not properly mowed for them to play games. Do not come here unless there is a visit done by health and safety prior to your arrival.

My son recently returned from a once week stay at Camp Indian Springs. My son, who is 9, has bruises all over his body. They do NOT provide protective gear for the children to wear during Paintball, with the exception of a face mask.
They do NOT require that the children follow their "own" posted rules for dress.
He did not want to participate for this 'elective' activity after the first time, because it hurt him so badly, but they still made him participate.
They statethat they teach Christian values and yet, my son says they did no daily devotions, no classes or discussion on Christ or anything of a biblical nature and other than the prayer over each meal, there were no prayer times....
This was my son's first experience at camp and he was so excited to get to go...only to be hurt by those that we trusted to guide and instruct him.
There is absolutely no Christlike behaviour in the way they care for these children.

Great camp with a rich full history, the newest administartion has sort of left the old values of camp behind them but it still has great value to the kids who go. Staff always great, facilities not very up to date but that adds to the scenery. The activities are a lot of fun with paintball and ATV's and a spring.- If the administration loosened up on some of the excessive rules and measures taken to make sure all kids have a positive experience then more kids will feel like camp is a their home away from home like kids did in years passed, but its still a great camp. I wo0uld reccomend it to anyone who wants their kid to have a great experience.
