I have been going to Camp Fav for about 5 summers now and I love it. The location is great as well as the limited access to technology(no phones, can bring cameras and charge gopros no problem). The food is amazing and if you don’t like what meal they have planned there is a yogurt/cereal bar at breakfast as well as a salad bar at lunch and dinner. Also if you have any food allergies they make sure to accommodate so you will be able to eat the hot meal that is served. You sleep in platform tents on cots which are pretty comfortable and if you ask sometimes they let you bring your cot outside and sleep under the stars. There are many water activities such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding(on the windsurf boards), and swimming. You can also request to do off camp activities such as a drive in movie, mini golf, get ice cream, whale watch, pretty much anything you can think of on Cape Cod. The memories I have at camp are the best and it is my happy place. Friendly staff that cares too

Administration of this staff are terrible and bullies. They did not support counselors in the slightest. Goosey and Trip were not adequate supervisors and cared more about their own experience than the experience of campers and staff. The kitchen staff were rude and food is a step up from prison food. Do not send your child here. The admins are not competent

My daughter and her friends absolutely detested this camp. They all planned to run away at one point!!!! Also, my daughter contracted strep throat from all the hand touching. The staff did not really care when she threw up many times. Also, the water has clay bits in it. The girls were forced to drink the clay too! I do not recommend this camp at all. When I picked my daughter up, she begged me to fake a multi-family incident that would allow her friends to come home early too. Was not satisfied!!!

My daughter returned for several years-loved it, thought sailing was the best but enjoyed day trippers (chose that her first time). Counselors were great-she challenged her self, cried at last campfire and keeps in contact via Facebook with women all over the world. She can't wait to be old enough to be a counselor herself. For those who did no like it, give it another try or choose another GS camp. They really help girls grow.

My daughter attended for the first time. She is entering 7th grade. She really enjoyed it. The counselors seemed flexible when a couple problems occurred during check in and everything was resolved promptly. Daughter reported that they were very concerned about reapplying sunscreen after being in the water and made sure girls were drinking enough water in the heat. Safety was a priority. She enjoyed all the activites, learned some saling and loved the singing. Reported that her swim test was hampered by being in extremely shallow water - not a big deal. Beautiful setting. Biggest complaint was lack of a mid-afternoon snack. She loved the food but as a growing adolescent, she was starving by dinner time. A piece of fruit would have been helpful to tide her over. Pickup on Friday afternoon was inconvenient. Adding a Friday night would have made more sense but all the girl scout camps seem to be structured this way so I don't have a lot of hope that they will change their ways.

My daughter has chosen to go to this camp for many summers. Wonderful value, great programs and attentive staff. To the poster below: did you ever question the fact your daughter simply may have not liked summer camp/her group/counselors and exaggerated and lied to you as to no have to go back? I highly doubt an organization as reputable as Girl Scouts of E. Mass would deny a child medical attention for something as serious as you say (the camp employs a full time nurse), deny a child water (my daughter says they are reminded to drink almost to excess), and deny a child food. If your concerns were serious enough you should have called the council directly and asked to speak to the program manager instead of only complaining in a survey. PLEASE do not judge this camp by this poor review! I couldn't think of a more caring, supportive and safe environment to send a daughter for a few weeks of fun on the cape!

My 11 year old daughter went to this camp for sailing with a friend and they said the counselors were mean, it was really boring and not fun. They said that everyone in their group were as miserable as they were. To give you a couple of examples - my daughter cut her leg and it was bleeding while she was performing her community service of raking & cleaning the beach. The counselor, took the blade and told her to get back to raking the beach for her community service. She also was denied a water break on a hot 90 degree day - she was told after she finished raking the beach. Her friend also was denied medical attention for a cut on her foot from the canoe and a bee sting. They also said they did not get enough food and no snacks were offered. I reported this to the director who said she would look into my concerns but was not going to call me back since my daughter was not going back to the camp. I reported my concerns to the Girl Scouts via a survey but have yet to hear back.

Only fun for younger girls, very boring if you are older. Nothing exciting really happens.

My daughter has gone to Favorite for 2 years, she loves the international counselors. The girls at camp are for the most part warm and fair and get allong quite well. Only complaint is that sessions are too short.

The staff at Favorite truly care about the campers that they work with and do their best to respond to their individual needs. Girls choose the programming they want to do as part of Girl Planning. With a water focus (sailing, swimming, windsurfing) and biking, there is a lot of activities for units to try! The facilities are more rustic than other camps - platform tents with cots - but are well-taken care of. A great place for girls to grow!
