Stone Mountain Adventures (SMA) is just the best! Their camp culture is one of unparalleled kindness and acceptance, and the exposure to so many different activities is amazing. Director Jud and his staff are extremely warm and engaging, and the "teen camp" atmosphere is cool enough for even the most discerning 12-16 year old! From falling in love with horseback, to camp field trips, to wakeboarding overnights, my son was captivated. Each day held the perfect balance of fun, thrills, and friendship. My son loved the independence afforded at SMA, the variety of self-selected activities, the off campus trips, and the special evening activities. He felt accepted, cared for, and valued at SMA. The first words out of his mouth at pickup were, "I'm coming back next year!" While there are hundreds of camps between our home in Florida and the beautiful SMA grounds in Pennsylvania, we will keep making the drive each year because it's such a gift to find a place as special as SMA.

My 12 year old daughter went to SMA for the first time this summer for two weeks. She had an amazing experience. She got to experience so many new and exciting activities in a supportive and encouraging environment. In an increasingly digital online world we are so thankful for her time at SMA. As soon as we picked her up she was talking about next summer.

My two kids had a blast! They loved the warm and welcoming environment both from the other campers and from the staff. They also loved the activities. One of my kids literally cried for about 20 minutes after picking her up to take her home because she was so sad to leave.

My daughter spent three summers at SMA and loved every minute of her time with Jud & family. Her first summer was transformative and she made lasting friendships that have continued to this day. The activities and programs foster independence, confidence and as well as inclusiveness and "team" camaraderie. Jud and staff are attentive and caring and I recommend SMA to any young person who enjoys being outdoors and adventure!

Great summer camp for our 16 year old son who was struggling to find a summer job in May and aged out of his prior summer camp. We reached out to Jud in early June and they were able to accommodate him for a 4 week summer program. He thoroughly enjoyed the other campers, activities and even the food. The staff was very friendly and can’t thank SMA enough for providing our son with a wonderful summer experience.

I cannot speak highly enough about Jud and his team. Our son spent three summers here and it fundamentally changed him in so many positive ways. Just a wonderful experience that focused on each camper's value and unique personality.

This Camp has been amazing for my daughter. She has grown more and more each summer in confidence and strength. I highly recommend this camp. It's been an investment for us year after year but totally worth it! She looks forward to this Camp every year and even saves up her own money for it. I'm so proud of her for wanting to make an investment herself in such an amazing experience that is so positive and wholesome. The activities are great and she always tells me how she "loves taking calculated risks". Very great counselors that always look out very well for the kids. Perfect place to make lifelong friendships as she points out as well.

After spending the last two summers at SMA, I can confidently say that the five weeks I have spent overall in Huntingdon have been the best of my life. The counselors improve every year, and the activities are so rewarding. It is so gratifying to be able to leave the bubble in Los Angeles and come to a place that matures and grounds you as a person. I'm so lucky to have found a place and a group of people that I consider a second home and family. Thank you SMA, for the best times and memories in my short 16 years.

I started attending this camp at 13 and just finished my last year. I absolutely love and adore this camp. They really take you in and make you a part of there family. I really enjoyed how small it was because it allowed you the opportunity to get to know everyone and form life long bonds. I still talk to the campers and counselors I met my first year. The different activities really keep you occupied and gives you a change every day. My favorite activities were sup and sail, Amish market, volleyball, canoeing, and jud games. I can't express to you enough how much I love this place and how sad I am that I won't be going back until I'm a counselor. This place really becomes a second home ans really nothing compares to the relationship you form with the people there. This place, quite literally, is the best place on earth.

I attended this camp as a 13 year old and then sent my son at age 12 and 13. His experience was just as great as mine. The camp allows young teenagers to grow in a fun, loving, and adventurous environment. My son matured so much after each summer and started to learn who he was. What I love about this camp is that it is unlike a traditional sleep away camp with color wars and such. The camp offers exciting activities that one may not have experienced otherwise. I would recommend this camp to any child looking for adventure.

My son attended two summers in a row. He returned relaxed and happy on a whole new level. It's fun to hang out with teens, and the counsellors are college students from around the world, many really interesting characters. Staff to student ratios are incredible, and each bring their expertise (ex. many of the mountain bike trips were one expert instructor to two kids). He did the mountain bike masters and then the wake masters, and was challenged to his limits (in a great way). Besides getting away from electronics, it was nice to get away from the bubble we live in in Orange County, and meet people with more varied backgrounds. Overall, this is a fantastic camp for adventurous teens.

My daughter has had a wonderful experience at SMA for the past 4 years. She looks forward to going each year. The facilities are a little rustic for me, but my daughter didn't care. Once she got sick and they took such great care of her and kept me in the loop till she got better. My daughter loved the rock climbing and wake board activities. They send you updates and pictures that were really appreciated the first year she went there. I can't say enough about the owners and the counselors - really great people. So happy she had a positive experience of going to camp. I never hesitate to recommend this camp to all my friends for their children.

This is the best camp I've ever been to. I went there for 4 years and would keep going if I was still in the age range. The staff is great and forms bonds with the campers. They're like older brothers and sisters and you feel safe with them, and they great to talk to. Stone Mountain is an experience that won't leave you. It creates confidence that you have forever. The camp is so easy to be yourself at. It's unlike anywhere else. The best way to get a feeling for the camp is to talk with Jud, the camp director. He is the coolest guy and is involved with the the camp and the campers. He really helps to create a positive atmosphere, but its really hard to be sad when you're at SMA. The cabins are nice. The best part of the cabin is your cabin mates. You bond wight hem so much at night before bed. Every evening you pick your activity for the next day so you get to hang out with different people each day. I highly recommend this camp. My first year I stayed an extra session.

This was my first overnight summer camp and I LOVED IT! The food was great, the staff were awesome. Jud and Anne are inspiring directors. The only bad thing was when I was stung by a bee on the back. Other than that I loved Stone Mountain Adventures and the only bad thing is that I am too old to return. If you are looking for a summer camp that only served teens then SMA is the place for you!

This is a camp that changes you - you grow as a person, learn a certain compassion and love for others and nature. Within the first day you've made more friends than you can count and within the first week you've made better friends than most people get in a lifetime. The variety of activities (ranging from horseback riding, sports, rockclimbing, to caving) insure that you're never bored...plus, since you choose the activities you are always doing something you love. The counselors are fantastic and enthusiastic. And the camp has so many tried and true traditions that really make it a one of a kind, you never want to leave experience.

SMA is a haven. It is sort of like kindergarten. You can start talking to anyone and they become your best friend. SMA changes you and all for the better. When you leave the countdown starts until the next time you can come back. The counselors are always terrific. The whole camp is gauged towards teens meaning the campers are given more freedoms. However safety is always a priority. The master programs offered are always a great idea. From novice to master you will have a great time. I wrote college essays about camp. My parents say it was the best parenting decision they've ever made. I don't know how I'd be without camp and honestly I don't want to.

I love this summer camp. It was totally out of my comfort zone and not something I thought I'd ever get out there and do, but once I did I did not regret it once. Sma was happily one of the best experiences of my life and I hope to come back later as a counselor. Everyone should get to experience it!

I had some of the best times of my life at this summer camp. It gave me a chance to be me and have fun. I haven't gone to summer camp in two years because I am too old now but I still keep in contact with many of my friends from camp. I met my best friend at camp and we still see each other all the time. I absolutely lived sma it is truly picturesque and perfect.

I went to SMA for three summers, and they were the most amazing summers of my life. My first summer at SMA I was twelve. I had already gone to two other over night camps for a combined total of five years. I wanted to try something less-traditional and so I f went to SMA. Everything about SMA is designed to let you have freedom and fun. I do not know one person who has gone through camp and not enjoyed it in the long run. Every day you are woken up by your crazy, energetic, and amazing counselors, then off to breakfast. After breakfast you go to your first activity. The first activity is three hours, and usually involves utilizing the town, going to natural rock for rock climbing, or a trip to the marina for waterskiing. SMA is a community of only 40-50 campers, and "everybody knows your name". SMA is not only a fun experience, but a life- changing one. At SMA I made friends that I will have for a lifetime, and increased my understanding and global awareness. It's worth every penny.

Three years ago, I decided to spend my summer holidays in a summer camp for the first time. I ended up choosing Stone Mountain Adventures, not only for the great activities it offers, such as wake boarding, disco rollerskating, or white water rafting, but also for its small size, which really makes you feel like you are part of a big family. Today, I seriously think that it was the best decision I ever made in my life. I arrived there as a shy kid, with the fear of not being able to make friends. It only took the attentive, friendly and outgoing staff and returning campers a few days to make me come out of my shell and make me feel comfortable like never before. I bonded with so many people and kept in touch with them the whole year. I actually met my best friend there. I came back twice and now that I am too old to be a camper, I count the days until I come back as a counselor. SMA changed my life and it will probably change yours too if you choose to go there and join our big family!

This camp is absolutely amazing, there is no other place like it. It really feels like a home away from home because of how friendly it is and how quickly you get to know everyone there. The places you go for activities are beautiful and it is the best way to spend a few weeks out of your summer.

Stone Mountain Adventures is a life-changing camp. The place is...well there aren't enough or strong enough adjectives to describe it. The counselors are fantastic--they have mastered the happy medium of friend, leader, and companion. The administrative staff never feel like administrators--they act like older counselors. The camp is small and becomes very quickly a close-knit family. I have gone to the camp for four years and I don't know who I would be without this place. It helps you learn how to live your life. It teaches you how to be a great person. There is no doubt in my mind that your little darling wont come back to you begging for next summer spent in a little town in Pennsylvania. It is worth every penny. And your child will thank you for every second.

SMA is the definition of a second family. It exceeded my expectations. I've had some amazing friendships that I haven't had anywhere else. As a SMA camper once said "If everyone went to SMA the world would be a better place". This camp is a uptopia. Its been almost a year and a half and I still miss it really badly.
