The beautiful lakefront setting for this comprehensive, well-run, activity filled, comfortable, friendly, traditional day camp is a true gem. The director is dedicated, responsive, kind and knowledgable. The staff are mature educators and everyone there seems to love what they do. Our kids loved everyday they were there. Their endorsement, "Everyone is so nice!"

My kids love this camp. The lead counselors are teachers and they know what they are doing. It is very nature oriented. The kids learn about the animals around them, swim in the beautiful lake, kayak, sail and bike boat. The camp is laid back and the kids just have fun. Sports are fun- not competitive. They also have a camp play that includes any kid who is willing to commit. My kids came home every day exhausted and smiling.

we were looking for a traditional camp for our 8 yr old son. We visited many camps and this one fit the bill. The camp setting is spectacular. My picky son absolutedly loves this camp. There are plenty of activities and the staff really keeps an eye on each child. Also communication and responsiveness of director is absolutely fantistic. We also recomended this camp to several of my sons friends and they to love the camp. Cannot think of a safer, more fun place for a child to spend some time in the summer.

IT'S OK!i personally didnt reallly like it but i guess it wasok. TRhe kids were nice but bunks are old some facilitiesw good and others bad.THE FOOS GREAT TONS OF OPTION i sort of felt taht i had to littl elective at one time and a bit to much at others. i didn't lije my counselors even though thet looked out for safety they had favorites!!All the cit's were great! rthere's decent activities abd the lakes good except for the crins in the water...they SUCK! i felb that every morning i had to wait for camper to get ther for like 1/2 an hour. since i didnt really like my counselors and wasnt the favorite i had an OK amount of attentionother camps! WHEN IT RAIMND IT WAS BORING UNLIKE OTHER CAMPS. aLSO THERE WAS A LOT OF MMODERN STUFF but for me..to much nature!!!! It is a bit expensive for a day camp! I do no that other campers loved it! the director was frindly. there was a nicely structored dat but as i said i had beef with counselors! :C

I've done a lot of research and this camp to me is the best. The surrounding camps are tucked into 15 acre hubs surrounded by housing developments while this place is on a real lake with about 500 acres in a state park. its got a traditional setting which is what I'm looking for for my kids. Staff was courteous with no problems. I definitely recommend it

My 9 year old son says this camp is the most amazing place on earth. He met alot of new friends and said the lake with its boats/inflatables is the most incredible attribute a camp can have. He and his younger brother will be going back in 2011.Thanks for offering a natural environment for kids to be able to be kids.

I was a camper at DCITP since I was 4 years old. I am now a SC at DCITP and I love it. It is a great experience for future teachers and all people looking to enjoy a fun filled summer. The kids are great and the activities for the kids are top of the line. The lake is something that DCITP always seems to improve. Keep doing well DCITP. see you this summer!

I went to DCITP 20 years ago! Some of the best times of my life were spent there. Its crazy how different it is today. Back then it was just a lake with a dock, I can't believe how much has been added. Wish I could go back!

I was a camper at DCITP and then a CIT and JC. Its a really fun camp. The people are really nice I made some good friends. The lake is also pretty cool because it has a lot of giant inflatables and no other camp that i went to when i was little had a cool lake like that.

I hate this camp so much! The facilities are all falling apart and the food was awful. And guess what! My parents are sending me again this year! Everyone was mean and already had friends and totally left me out. There were few activities I was even interested in and when we played soccer, which I was looking foward to, nobody wanted to play so we all just sat there. It was so boring! It took about half an hour to get up there and they picked me up really early. Plus, sometimes the bus driver would drive by my house! I cannot believe I have to go there again when my friend gets to go to PARIS! Just save yourself, do not go there EVER!

My son and daughter love this camp so much! The only problem is that when they come home they are so tired and on the last day they both came off the bus crying because they were sad it was over.I love the directors and the counselors were great. The camp alone is so beautiful. It will really get your child to experience nature in a fun way. I am so happy I finally found a great camp thats affordable. I am so happy my kids are able experience this amazing camp.

DCITP is a beautiful camp. Everything there is just amazing. Pay no attention to the rude comments left by some people. The counselors/staff are really caring and sweet. It's a bit pricy but I can assure you that your money will not go to waste. The waterpark in the lake is extremely fun and the woods surrounding the camp are simply gorgeous. The overnight is extremely fun, safe, and exciting but I wouldn't reccomend it to kids who get homesick easily. The kitchen staff are extremely talented cooks who won't hesitate to get you a meal if you forget your lunch at home. Overall, this is an amazing camp. It's my home away from home < 3

Please do not send your children to this camp. The professional staff lack personal appropriate boundaries with children, I urge parents to choose another camp and avoid this program.

I went to this camp for two years and i only remember it as the home of spoiled and clique-y kids. The lake is very nice and kids (especially young) will love the floats and trampolines on the lake. Otherwise, The facilities were not fantastic and when I went, counselors were hardly in the picture. In fact, I can not remember one counselor's name. Mainly CITS took care of us (they handled us well, but were CITS none the less). Send your kid here if you want him/her assosiated with bratty and cliquey rich kids. If you want your child to have a really good camp experience I suggest a sleepaway camp, Camp Wa-Klo (the entire opposite of this camp, 5's accross the board) if your child is a girl.

Greatest camp in the world. Has the most experienced, talented, and nicest staff out there. Any activity you can think of! Allows people to do what they really want to do. Actually is a real traditional camp (not like a boring country club)in the woods, yet has so many activities, including an amazing waterpark.
