Click to report rating    8/6/25   5     5     5     5     5   I can't say enough good things about Windsor Mountain International Camp and its owners, Jake and Kerry. Our 11-year-old son just completed his third summer there and always returns from camp sweeter, kinder and brimming with stories. He loves the "free-choice" aspect of camp--kids choose ALL their own activities (with the exception of instructional swim, which is required). There are plenty of activities--quirky ones like "Marshmallow Canoe" (canoe out to a marsh and act mellow, haha), as well as traditional ones like tennis and archery. There's also plenty of downtime to explore the grounds, safely and well-supervised. The lake is beautiful and there are tons of activities on the waterfront (and many lifeguards). The counselors all have at least one year of college under their belts, which makes a HUGE difference in terms of maturity and common sense. The kids are diverse and kind. I wish it was a full-summer camp rather than a session camp, otherwise... no notes. RID: 54261
Click to report rating    7/11/25   5     5     5     5     5   This was our daughter’s first time at sleep away camp. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Windsor Mountain. They were flexible with our needs and responsive to our questions as parents. But more than that, they emphasize cooperation, free choice, diversity and growth, without forcing any beliefs on campers. Our daughter came back with so many special memories and with great friends. She can’t wait for next summer. RID: 54241
Click to report rating    8/21/23   5     5     5     5     4   My two boys have attended WMI for several summers. Though they are very different kinds of kids, they both LOVE camp. As parents, we appreciate how well managed and caring the Directors are, how passionate the staff is, and the diversity of the camp community as well as the programming. Our kids love the huge variety of activities, the camp culture and lore, and how warm and welcoming it is for all types of personalities. We are particularly impressed with how the camp has supported our older son, who has ADHD and can sometimes struggle. He came back from camp this year brimming with happiness and pure ebullience. He felt engaged and very connected to the community at camp. For that, we couldn't be more grateful. We can't wait till next summer when our daughter can join as well. RID: 53853
Click to report rating    8/20/23   5     5     5     5     5   Our child has attended Windsor Mountain for many years and loves the camp. The camp is very well-managed by experienced owners and professional staff, offers a wide range of activities, has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, and has a progressive ethos that revolves around kindness, understanding, and personal development rather than competition, achievement, and performance metrics. RID: 53852
Click to report rating    8/20/23   5     5     5     5     5   A lovely camp with amazing councilors, lots of diversity, fun activities to fit any kid's taste, and most importantly, a kindness that permeates all aspects of the camp. I truly think any kid, no matter their experience at home or school, will find friends and acceptance here, whoever they are and however they identify - I know mine did. The councilors are fun but responsible, supportive and encouraging, and they inspire my son to be just like them. I can't rate this camp highly enough! RID: 53850
Click to report rating    7/26/23   5     5     5     5     5   My child attended the camp at age 11 for 3.5 weeks (first time overnight camper) and had a great time! We even received a message from the camp halfway through, letting us know how he was doing. He had plenty of activities to choose from and tried new things. He loved the food and made great friends. RID: 53787
Click to report rating    7/31/22   5     5     5     5     5   We couldn't imagine a better summer camp than Windsor. Our child has loved his camp experience since the first year he went four years ago. The exposure to the range of different experiences, activities, and people is beyond measure. The counselors and staff are incredible, and it shows in the strong community of campers returning to Windsor yearly. Our child'ss camp experience has been full of self-discovery, confidence building and friendship. We can't say enough good things about Windsor! RID: 53592
Click to report rating    7/30/21   5     5     5     5     5   Windsor Mountain International is the best summer camp my daughter has ever been to. The staff are caring and encouraging. By the end of the session, my daughter felt like she had another family within the bunk. The facilities are great. This year was my daughter’s first time in the “Tent Unit”. She said that it was great, her bunk had a lot of room and the bathrooms were nice. In terms of activities, WMI offers so many different things to do. My daughter got to take a cooking class (which she now cooks dinner for us because of!), a junior life guarding class, and so much more. Kids get so much out of Windsor Mountain. Overall, we would rate it five stars. My daughter is coming back for as many years as she can! RID: 53431

8/20/20   5     5     5     5     5   My then-11 year old daughter found Windsor Mountain herself, at a camps fair. Something about the young lady manning the booth convinced her WM is the place for her. She had a wonderful experience last summer. It was the staff’s dedication in navigating the many hurdles and hoops necessary even to OPEN this year, though, that convinced our family of just what a special place it is. The two weeks of normalcy our daughter had this year were a true gift. We cannot say enough good things about Windsor Mountain and the people who run it. If your child is looking for a traditional overnight camp experience, you can do no better. RID: 53284

8/19/20   5     5     5     5     5   This was my daughter's (8 years) first year at sleepaway camp for 2 weeks. She had such a fantastic experience that I keep hearing about it for hours on end. This camp has it all. My 8 year old did the water trampoline and high dive, the ropes course, the swing into the lake, aerial silks, collage and paper mache making, farming, gardening. All in 2 weeks. The counselors also made a big impression with their camp skills. Even during this COVID year, the camp went above and beyond on arranging testing and safety. I want to see more pictures from this year's session. It was amazing. RID: 53282
Click to report rating    7/31/20   5     5     5     5     4   Words can't express how amazing this camp is! Jake and Kerry go above and beyond for the kids. With all the current health concerns, I was initially concerned with sending my kids to camp (yes, they were open!). But, they were able to keep everyone safe while still letting them have fun. The procedures, planning, staffing, coordinating was astounding. They worked closely with NH health officials which was comforting. Staff is always courteous, engaging and energetic. This was my kids' 5th and 6th going. This camp has made such a positive impact on their lives. RID: 53274

8/19/19   5     5     5     5     5   My 12 year old daughter just returned home from 4 weeks of camp. She loved it and wants to go back next year. This camp is special because it truly celebrates differences and practices kindness and acceptance. The counselors are from all over the globe and are exceptional role models. My daughter made good friends all the while navigating living in close proximity with others and the inevitable conflicts and personalities. Her bunk counselors excelled at keeping the group positive and tight. The activities are flexible –you can switch them up every three days. My daughter challenged herself (learned to dive!) and tried new things. (3 day wilderness adventure!) Bonus: 4 weeks technology free! The camp has an endless amount of unique social gatherings; dance party, beach day, casino night, international day, to name a few. The focus is firmly on good old-fashioned fun and letting kids just be themselves and enjoy being a kid! RID: 52835

8/18/19   5     5     5     5     5   Just got our 10 year old son back from a full summer at WMI (his first summer away ever) and he could not have had a better time. He absolutely adored his counselors and has not stopped talking about all of his adventures there. This is a truly special camp and I'm so happy that we found it. Already counting down to next summer! RID: 52832

7/25/19   5     5     5     5     5   My 15 year old daughter just finished her 4th summer at WMI (as an LIT), and my 12-year old son was there for his first year. My children are very different from each other, but both of them were in tears when it was time to go home. Jake and Kerry hire the most amazing counselors who are truly invested in the kids - not only that they have a good time, but in their development and well-being. WMI creates an amazing atmosphere where the kids feel free to be kind to each other and to try things that might not feel socially or even physically possible at home. I would never send my kids anywhere else. RID: 52767

7/21/19   5     5     5     5     5   This was my boys' first time at sleepaway camp, they were reluctant to go, and honestly, it could not have gone better. My 8-year-old went for a mini-session but wished he had stayed longer, and my 10-year-old went for the full session and is now home and very campsick! Yes, they loved all of the activities—from the traditional camp stuff (Gaga, sports, table tennis waterfront) to the less traditional (bad stand up comedy)—but mostly they just loved the vibe. They felt free and loved and like they could be themselves. They developed real bonds with their bunkmates and wonderful counselors, and my 10-year-old keeps talking about how cool it was to be out of his home "bubble" and make friends from all over the world. They can't wait to go back next summer. A truly menschy place. Can't recommend Windsor Mountain enough. RID: 52756
Click to report rating    7/11/19   5     5     5     5     5   This is truly an amazing place. The staff are wonderful and committed, and both of our children have made incredible friends, learned valuable skills, and created memories that will last a lifetime. I can't recommend WMI enough. RID: 52724
Click to report rating    2/17/19   5     5     5     5     5   I laughed at the 'monetary value' section, because there is no price I wouldn't pay for the memories I made at WMI. No other camp in the world compares, let alone New Hampshire. RID: 52472

8/21/18   5     5     5     5     5   This was my 12 year old son’s third summer at WMI & each year is better than the previous and each year seems impossible to top. From the camp directors Jake & Kerry, & the incredible staff too numerous to describe, this place is pure magic. From the incredible opportunities to play music, to the array of sports & fun, creative activities, & especially the warm, interesting, generous staff and they way this place brings out the very best in people, we are thrilled that our son has made WMI his second home. He’s also recommended the camp to a diverse array of kids who have ALL loved it. The physical plant is simple and beautiful, the waterfront stunning, but nothing is as amazing as the camp’s inclusive values. RID: 52204

8/6/18   5     5     5     5     5   Extraordinary summer camp. My 10-year-old son just finished a mini-session at WMI (2 weeks), and suffered from quite a bit of homesickness. The staff were incredibly kind, and attentive, and communicated with us just the right amount. When we picked up our son up, we weren't sure what to expect. Would he be miserable? Nope! He was elated, enormously proud, and spent the next 8 hours talking non-stop about his experiences at WMI. The camp is exceptional, from the wide range of activities to the food to especially the staff. It's obvious the counselors and staff really care. My son is talking about going 4 weeks next summer and is clearly more confident than he was before he went. A lovely, warm, caring camp with a special flair for fun. RID: 52139
7/29/18   5     5     4     5     5   This was my first year at a summer camp out of state and on day 1 I was really nervous but then I met some of my bunk mates and they were really nice. The 2nd day a kid from Paris,France arrived in our bunk and I made great friends with him.We loved it when we where in the same class together. We also built a fort made out of sticks, cardboard, and duck tape outside our cabin. And we slept in it. We loved doing the rope swing and dive tower during fun hour, or just swimming in the lake. Windsor mountain is the best place on earth. RID: 52103

2/12/18   5     5     5     5     5   My son has been going to Windsor for 4 years and I can't say enough good things about it. Jake and Kerry set the tone for an inclusive, open and accepting environment and all of the kids just seem to love the place - you can see it in their faces on drop off and departure days as well as in the pictures and videos they post daily while camp is in session. They have a great variety of activities, from art to sports to theater to goofy things like lip synching - really something for every interest. The facilities are nice and the food is good. I also like that the kids have to pitch in and clean their cabin and take a turn at KP duty. The counselors are really a great group and many return year after year which I think is a sign of how much they love the place too. The fact that WMI is "electronics free" is another bonus. My son thinks of WMI as his home away from home and I don't think you can ask for more than that in a summer camp! RID: 51645

2/5/18   5     5     5     5     5   Windsor Mountain was the third summer camp that my son tried, and it was hands down the best experience he's had. I think the main difference between Windsor Mountain and other similar summer camps is that there is a shared value system that Jake and Kerry make sure runs through all activities, facilities, and staffers. The counselors are mature, creative, kind and well-trained, and older than most other summer camps' staff. I recommend this camp highly if your camper is a bit of a free spirit and up for a wide range of activities. My son has done two years there (at age 12 and 13), and is going back this summer. I'm so grateful to Jake and Kerry and the counselors for providing this beautiful, natural, fun, creative, kind experience, and for truly caring and listening to each parent and camper. RID: 51624

11/12/17   5     5     5     5     5   This was my childrens' 6th summer at Windsor Mountain. They know it as their happy place, a place where everyone is welcomed and accepted for who they are. Where every day and night is filled with creative and enriching activities and lifelong friends. I know it as a place where they learn empathy, community, responsibility, courage. I am grateful for Jake and Kerry and the entire staff who sustain this incredibly special place. RID: 51474

10/10/17   5     4     5     5     5   This was my daughter's first year at a sleep away camp and she loved it! She will be going back next year for sure. The camp welcomes individuality, and teaches kids to be positive about one another. It is not a competitive camp, but a supportive one. The end of camp performances were a hoot, and she was extremely proud to show off the camp. She seemed to get a lot of self confidence as well and she was only there for two weeks. We were extremely happy with her experience. Windsor Mountain seems like what camp should be! RID: 51408

7/28/17   5     5     5     5     5   All three of my kids go, eldest for 6 years now, for the 4 week July session. They are very different and the all LOVE it. A super varied camp as it should be where they form strong friendships. Awesome staff, very international, and a ton of different skills being developed. Extremely well managed, fantastic media sharing. Highly recommended. Fred Destin (Boston and London). RID: 51115

3/21/17   5     5     5     5     5   Windsor Mountain International is such a special place to all who come here. I see campers come through here and emerge kinder, stronger and more independent humans. They have to opportunity to step out of their comfort zones by choosing the different activities they want to participate in. So in the morning they can take an art class and in the afternoon they can a risk on the high ropes course, the possibilities are endless. Cannot forget to mention the food, staff and camp ground itself really make this place incredible. Take the time to look into Windsor Mountain, you wont regret it RID: 50554

8/24/16   5     5     5     5     5   This was my 11 y/o daughter's 3rd time at sleep away camp, but FIRST time at Windsor. We picked her up after 3.5 weeks and there was no need to ask how it went. Her face, her body language and overall demeanor told us all we needed to know. She told us that she experienced "personal growth" this summer. What more could a parent ask for. She WILL be back next summer. RID: 50002

8/23/16   5     5     5     5     5   My daughter has been going to camp for three years now and I grew up at this camp. Every camper is a part of a community and they are able to define their own role. They develop confidence, independence, value, and grow in ways it is hard for parents to comprehend. The staff at WMI comes back year after year because it isn't just a summer job to them, it's a commitment. They are some of the best trained people I have ever met and are passionate about the camp, the culture, the children, and the camaraderie they develop. The camp directors know every child (and parent!) by name, respond to every email and call. Campfires, swimming, archery, ropes courses, music, theatre, dance, international integration, this camp has every activity you can imagine and the campers get to try everything. It’s a place where you belong. Where everyone belongs. RID: 49999

7/27/16   5     5     5     5     5   My family has a long history with this camp. My younger brother and sister went many years ago, my oldest son has gone every summer for 4 years, and my middle son just started there. Each of these 4 has a very different personality, and its not obvious that there is any type of camp all 4 would feel at home-- and yet they did, they do. Everyone has only wonderful things to say, and WMI is now officially the favorite place on earth for both my atheletic, sports-focused son and my quirky theater-focused son. The counselors are fantastic at keeping the kids busy and happy and laughing, and trying new things. Over the years, I've seen how the camp handled a few challenges, from homesickness to an aggressive kid in one of my son's cabins, and have only been impressed. Though the camp isn't exactly the same as it was all those years ago when my brother and sister went, the new directors Jake and Kerry have done a great job maintaining and building on the original spirit.  7/20/16   5     5     5     5     5   My older daughter has gone to Windsor Mountsin for three years, and my younger one just got back from her first year, a mini-session. Both love this camp! The staff is wonderful and supportive; the vibe is loving, laid back, fun and quirky, and there's just the right balance of structure and freedom. There are tons of great activities to choose from, which range from very traditional (sports, swimming, etc.) to unusual and creative (playing pirates, diving onto mattresses, etc., plus tons of crafty and artistic options. The kids say the food is "awesome." My my older daughter went through a very tough school year a while back and went to camp sad and withdrawn. The staff talked with us and kept careful watch over her. She came back, as she always has, happy and relaxed, and with a great portion of her confidence restored. WMI gives kids exactly what they need from a camp - a place to have adventures, be in nature, relax, have fun, find themselves, and bond with others. RID: 49797

9/2/15   5     5     5     5     5   A physically beautiful, warm, fun, deeply creative environment that supports experiential learning. My brother and I went as kids and have such great memories that we send our kids. My kids as first-time campers had a blast and are dying to go back. Their cousins, now "graduates," cite it as the best thing their parents ever did for them. What makes this camp unusual is the number of activities and the short rotations. Kids choose new schedules every three days (sticking with favorite areas for longer). My kids couldn't be more different--a sporty, social boy and an introverted artsy girl--yet Windsor Mountain has such a wide range of options and personal choice that each set up a schedule custom made for them. Independent choice with safe guidance. That's what camp is all about. Evening activities were varied, energetically guided, and fun. The kids love looking back at camp videos posted on YouTube. Check them out to see the humor and enthusiasm that permeates this environment. RID: 49147

7/27/15   5     5     5     5     5   This was the first time my 10-year old son went to sleep away camp and I feel so lucky that we found Windsor Mtn! Owners and staff were super welcoming, warm, friendly, fun, enthusiastic, open-minded and encouraging. My son was hesitant to go but after a week into it he asked to stay longer. I love the fact that it attracts a diverse group of kids and adults. My son felt very comfortable there and made some great friends in such a short period of time. I felt like there were so many counselors there to help them. They give them plenty of opportunity to be independent yet are always there to provide guidance when needed. There are so many fun activities (sports and non-sports) to chose from. Sending my son was one of the best decisions we made and he can't wait to go back next year! RID: 48942

7/25/15   5     5     5     5     5   Windsor Mountain is a magical place with a loving, caring, fun and diverse community of staff and campers, a beautiful setting, healthy food and an incredible range of activities. They have all the typical camp offerings: sports, boating, hiking, horseback riding, video making, visual arts, performing arts.... But they also have these wonderful, unique activities such as Bird Houses for Humans, Sports Field Arcade, Culture Shock, Weird Like Me and on and on. They have amazing all camp activities like backwards day, international day, folk fest and awkward prom. I sent my two sons here and they absolutely loved it. They are non-competitive, creative, imaginative and not into sports. It was great to find a camp with activities that engaged them and where they tried new things, made new friends, met all kinds of people, got fresh air and exercise and lived electronics free (happily). WMI s a place where kids can be kids and kids can be themselves. I can't recommend this camp enough. RID: 48934

7/24/15   5     5     5     5     5   Anyone who doesn't rate this camp a 5 out of 5 probably can't tell their left from right. I have a attended this camp for 4 years, and my friends and family are astonished by the stories I come back with and the things I learn. If you love your children send them here. There are endless activities for your kids to partake in. Wether they enjoy music, sports, art, film, or preforming arts. GOD, there are not words to describe the magic of this place. Okay yes that sounds corny but truly, somehow this camp is filled with the most caring loving and genuine people from all over the world. Seriously, there are kids traveling from all over the world. I can guarantee that you won't be gambling on wether your kids will enjoy them selfs or not. This place changes people for the better, I identify with Windsor with soo much pride.  7/22/15   5     5     5     5     5   The three-and-a-half weeks my nine-year-old spent at camp gave him space to grow in ways we could not have imagined. He came home with scabs, craft projects, and many lessons learned about himself and about life. He stands taller from within. The counselors spent so much time with him and treated him with respect. He may not always be the easiest kid to work with, but they honored who he is and made a huge difference in his life. Kerry and Jake are running a wonderful camp, and my son and his little sister are already counting the days till next summer. RID: 48914

7/22/15   5     5     5     5     5   This was our first summer at WM and both our son and we parents had a terrific experience. He is already lobbying to spend the entire summer there next year, even if it means getting a job (age 9!) to pay for it! Windsor Mountain is neither a kids' country club nor a soul-less vacation program run by bored teens. Instead, the camp distinguishes itself by expertly building a close-knit community, encouraging personal growth and consciously nurturing their development. They do all of this while still offering a wide array of activities on a lovely but manageable-sized property. From our early inquiries in Feb to the end of our session in July, the staff, directors, nurses and counselors were equally committed to taking care of our child, answering our questions, responding to any concerns and making sure he was happy. We were impressed at how well they knew all the kids and couldn't believe how many of the staff we met at drop-off remembered our family weeks later at pickup. RID: 48913

7/22/14   5     5     5     5     5   My 13 year old daughter just completed her 3.5 week session, second summer and fully intends to return next summer. This camp is a miracle, she loves it! The activities are fantastic, the staff superb and the Directors, Jake and Kerri are loving, committed and create a fantastic, diverse, fun and exciting experience. RID: 47666

7/14/14   5     5     5     5     5   My 10yo returned from her first sleepaway experience here, a 2-week mini session. We chose it because of its traditional nature, but it trumped closer options because of its history as Interlocken, domestic/international diversity and emphasis on building relationships across cultural boundaries. (I also like that the same co runs service travel programs for teens.) I felt it an ideal expression of values that matter to our family AND the more traditional camp approach aimed at personal growth in children. I enjoyed the consistency of communication and availability of transportation from nearby cities. My daughter just thought it was FUN. Nice and interesting people, she felt she (and everyone) belonged and was able to be her own guide when it came to choosing from SO MANY unique activities that were often new but desirable to her - nothing was ultimately a chore - the vibe I hoped she'd feel. We look forward to growing our relationship with Windsor Mountain. RID: 47585
Click to report rating    9/9/13   5     5     5     5     5   Our 13-year old daughter just returned from 7 weeks at Windsor Mountain and she is beyond thrilled and happy with the camp, the counselors and all the friends she made there. This was her second year at WMI (last summer she only attended one session) and she is already planning to return for the next two years! Among the things that make WMI a wonderful place is the commitment and caring of the staff, the flexibility offered to campers to design their experience, and the interest in and acceptance of diversity among the campers. We highly recommend WMI. It is a beautiful place full of dedicated, caring staff who bring out the best in our kids. RID: 45953

Click to report rating    8/31/13   5     5     5     5     5   My 12 yr. daughters's first overnight camp experience at Windsor Mt. was fantastic beyond all of our expectations! From the administration, to the counselors, creative and outdoor activities and adventure trips, there is joyful enthusiasm, great communication;a great sense of fun, respect and a loving community. Best experience we could have hoped for. RID: 45909
Click to report rating    8/26/13   5     5     5     5     5   Jake & Kerry really work hard to connect with each camper. My daughter just finished her 6th year and participated in the LIT program. They do a great job balancing structure with a relaxed atmosphere. They really try to get the kids to stretch themselves and try new things, which my daughter benefitted from tremendously. I love that they're silly and about fun which is a good balance to the rigors of school and sports throughout the rest of the year. My daughter's relationships with friends at camp are very strong given that they also live together. While she was always independent, camp focused her energies towards positive ways to use her strengths. My daughter has grown significantly as a young adult through her experiences at WMI summer camp. RID: 45866
Click to report rating    8/26/13   5     4     5     5     5   I have been a staff member at WMI for the past 3 years, and can quite honestly say that this place is amazing. It embraces all backgrounds, hobbies, interests beliefs with open arms. Activities are widely covered with something for everyone, with experimental learning shining through at every given opportunity. Staff and Campers alike emerge a better more well rounded version of themselves each year, aswell as forging themselves a new home in the woods of windsor. RID: 45863

Click to report rating    8/26/13   5     5     5     5     5   My rather quiet daughter went for the 10 day mini-session as a 9 year old last year. This year she signed up again for the mini-session, but several days before it ended she spent a whole day bugging the counselor about whether she could stay for the full 3.5 weeks. She came back from that full of stories about her adventures. RID: 45860
Click to report rating    7/14/12   4     5     5     5     5   I went to this camp for the first time last summer (2011), and I can honestly say it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It was super fun to get to experience the traditional camp thing, but then also have fun unique twists tossed in. For example, classes like "Riddle Me This" where we just solved riddles. Or "Defense Against the Dark Arts" where we learned how to fend off dementors and play Quidditch. The only problem was that my dorm had a lot of drama, but that wasn't a quality of the camp, it was just that the people in my dorm didn't really mix well. Overall, this is a terrific camp that I highly recommend. RID: 41706

10/2/11   5     5     5     5     5   Camp Windsor Mountain is the best camp. The staff is kind and friendly! You make some great friendships. Some of the fun activities to do are the high ropes course and the lake (rope swing, diving tower, sailing, kayaking, fishing). The food is delicious and healthy. The farm is fun you can play with alpacas, chicken and bunnies. You learn how to play games, arts and crafts and cool sports. Camp is the best place to be in the summer. :)<3 RID: 37005

9/9/11   5     4     3     3     3   I went to WIndsor Mountain last year. The staff was great but the people there were very rude and didn't seem like they wanted to make any new friends. The activities were fun but many of the teachers were teaching random classes they didn't know how to teach. It seemed as if even if you signed up for something, you wouldn't get it and somebody who didn't even want it would. The bunks were nice but the showers were disgusting and there were only three for seventy four girls and the toilets were constantly getting clogged. Click to report rating    10/10/10   5     5     4     4     5   I have now been to camp for 5 years, and it is my favorite place in the world. My first year I was very homesick but they helped me get through it, and I'm very glad about that. WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE!!!! It has tons of activities and crazy games, but it also has very good values and a focus on building a loving community. The main theme of camp is peace and love, and those things have become central elements of my life. They have amazing travel programs, wether it's a three day trip away from base camp, or a Bridge trip to another country, it's all amazing. The counslers are supportive, and the campers are pretty much all really nice. The friends I have made at camp are some of my best friends ever and truly mean the world to me. Every year, I wait 11 months just for this one month of my life, and it's ALWAYS worth it. The values, the music, the love, and the fun is really a great thing. The main music that is listened to at camp is Reggae, country, and folk, which is so good! I <3 WMI RID: 34221

Click to report rating    3/26/10   5     5     5     5     5   My two kids, girl of 11 and boy of 13 from California, had an absolutely fabulous time at this camp. The non-competitive, developmental approach with plenty of individual attention made all the difference to my kids. Not only were they met where they are developmentally, but they were always encouraged to take things to the next level, to challenge themselves and to take calculated risks that made them grow. For my daughter entering Middle School, this was a very empowering and fortifying experience that served her well during the transition. For my son this was a relaxing experience where he was able to explore new dimensions of himself. The staff is competent and responsive, many of their counselors come from top colleges, the setting beautiful, good facilities, activities galore (guided choice), great adventures, the food healthy and delicious, excellent health center on site. Most of all it's a camp with a heart, a place where kindness rules and kids can find their own path. RID: 32494

Click to report rating    11/23/08   5     5     5     5     5   Windsor Mountain is unlike anywhere else on earth. I was lucky enough to be a student as well as a staff member. Everyone who enters the "bubble" emerges a better version of themselves. One learns the importance of individuality and how to incorporate that individuality into community. While at Windsor Mountain children learn the value of a smile and a kind word. They learn and teach one another by taping into their own strengths. I have worked at several other camps and visited many, I have never seen a place as special. Campers and Staff alike come back year after year from all over the world. I was recently at the wedding of two former Windsor Mountain staff members it was so beautiful to see them come together, It was also amazing to have a Windsor Mountain reunion! Former and Current staff flew in from all over the world! This coming summer we all are getting together again for another union, but this time in Australia! Click to report rating    11/11/08   5     4     5     5     5   Although Windsor Mountain does seem to be more rule oriented than it used to be,it still remains a great place to go to camp. They still offer unusual and enriching activities, like human chess and philosophy in addition to more traditional camp activities like baseball or canoeing. Windsor Mountain also emphasizes community service and kindness. Many of the counselors are from abroad and this adds to the diverse nature of the camp. As a former camper, I think Windsor Mountain really taught me important values and made me a much more interesting and unique person, not to mention the great friends I made there. I would recommend this camp to anyone who likes a good time. Windsor Mountain has a lot to offer, whether it be sports, music, drama, or just crazy fun stuff. RID: 27437
Click to report rating    8/12/07   5     5     5     5     5   Our 9-year old daughter just returned from a 2 week introductory session at Windsor Mountain and she had a FABULOUS time. She was exposed to new, exciting activities, and she met children and counselors from all over the world that she is happy and proud to call her friends. She returned a kinder, gentler version of herself and we owe it all to the caring, attentive and talented group of counselors on staff. The food was delicious and healthy. Another bonus was the exposure to the deaf campers in the Deaf + program - she can now carry on a conversation in American Sign Language (ASL) and is teaching all of her hearing friends at home. Of course, she can't wait to return next summer for 4 weeks!! RID: 13882
