I'm 43 and went to this camp for several years. I'm from Newark and it really was a breath of fresh air (literally and figuratively) It was amazing. I think about my experience often. I loved that we called out counselors Aunt and Uncle. It seemed to click something in both people (child and counselor) that we were family and needed to treat each other that way. So many good memories and it made a positive impact on my life. I still sing the song "Father, I adore you" and remember how our little voices sounded and how much love we felt at that moment. My daughter is 17 and I wish I lived in Jersey still because I would've without a doubt have sent her. I'm happy to see they are still open and hope they are still operating under the same loving, open-hearted conditions.

My children had an awful time at this camp! The facilities are very run down and not taken care of. My daughter felt very left out of her group and the counselor did not help the situation at all!

camp haluwasa is awesome! it really helps kids connect with god i am a tall pine so cu there! BEST CAMP EVER!!!!

It's the best camp ever. I went the past three summers and loved it! If there is something going on in your lives the counselers will help you bvecause alot of them went through the same things. There is never a dull moment at Haluwasa! I would reccomend this camp to anyone who wants to get closer to God! The counselers are great! I'm going back next week! Can't wait!!

This is beyond awesome. The nightgames are fun as is everything else. You don't even have to be religous to enjoy. The feeling you get there is one of love. Oh-A shout out to Aunt Jen and Doug.

This camp is absolutely amazing.The counselors just are so incredible.I love this camp with all my heart.this camp opens your eyes to new adventures.it helps you meet new people and learn all about God.I love this camp and cant wait to be a counselor next year again just to teach the word. <3

i worked there for two summers now and its amazing it has made me come a lot closer with god and i would suggest that anyone who wants to get a closer relationship with god and build strong relationships in the process HALUWASA is the place to do it!

I went here as a child for years. I can't praise the camp enough. the counselors were great and I always met great friends and had a lot of fun!!! I never wanted to leave at the end of my weeks!
