Camp Kawaga is an AMAZING camp for boys! We are extremely picky when it comes to choosing experiences, such as camp. Kawaga has surpassed our expectations. The camp grounds are BEAUTIFULLY kept up. It is situated on a beautiful lake with nicely groomed green grass and great facilities. The basketball court, tramp ball court, sports fields, archery equipment, etc are very nice. The Mess Hall is newly renovated and GORGEOUS and my husband says the food is really quite good ( he eats there during Father/Son weekend). Ty and the rest of the staff are excellent and take the safety of the children very seriously . I can’t wait to send my younger son next year and look forward to my boys spending man, many years at Kawaga as their home away from home .

Absolutely would say to send kids to Kawaga. It's a nurturing enviroment where they can gain experience and maturity while having a very good time. But if you're thinking about working there, DON'T. The admin treat the staff like garbage, and it's miserable. The kids are great, but that's the only perk.

This is a good camp for the kids. It is terrible for the counsellors & other staff members. The staff only gets 3 days off the whole summer.(9+ weeks) and are guilted if they complain about anything. The saving grace is that the kids are great!

Camp Kawaga is truly a special and unique place. There are a lot of overnight boys' camps out there that focus their daily activities on sports. On paper, Kawaga's daily programs are similar to most other camps in the region. The main difference lies in many intangibles. Kawaga's staff is the best there is. 90% of its staff are former campers, which boasts how addicting this place is. By also having so many former campers on staff, Kawaga's traditions and familial atmosphere are major highlights. Not only do all of the counselors and campers know each others names, but everyone has a personal relationship with each other. This is a fantastic place for boys to build important skills in trust, teamwork, self-sufficiency while making life-long friends. My closest friends are from Kawaga and will be my friends forever. I am extremely lucky to have been given the chance to spend my summers at Kawaga. Kawaga has shaped me into the person I am today and I will forever be thankful.

this camp stinks! i went and its so stupid everybody is awkward there and all we do is talk about the menominee competetion then they kick our butts!

Camp Kawaga is an incredibly unique camping experience for boys aged 7-16. Kawaga was established almost 100 years ago, and serves as the premier camp in the Northwoods of Wisconsin due to its wealth of natural beauty and the character building it provides to it's campers. Kawaga has excellent facilities and boasts an environment fit for any type of child looking for the experienc eof a lifetime.
