The camp itself is okay, but the entire experience as a whole was pretty bad for me personally. The whole idea of Campus Kids is that you're away for the week but home for the weekends. This may be a good stepping stone for sleepaway camp for some people, but it was horrible for me. I was eight years old when I went, and I was very homesick. I probably would have been fine if I hadn't come home every weekend. Everytime I was getting over me homesickness i came home, and the homesickness started all over when I got back the next Monday. Also, we called home every night, which just fed in my homesickness. This type of camp experience is definitely for a certain type of kid. After one summer here, I went to a sleepaway camp, absolutely loved it, and have been going ever since. If your child is prone to homesickness, this is not the experience for them. In my opinion, a typical sleepaway camp allows for much better adjustment because your not seeing your parents every weekend.

I have been going to this camp for over a decade. I consider this place my second home and many of the people I have met both on staff and as a camper are now like family to me. What some of the people wrote below me is somewhat accurate. What makes this camp is the type of people that come to CKCT. As a camper, I was able to find role models in so many of my counselors and we got really down to earth, chilled out people. The choice programming was a real draw. I initially came to CK to use the camp as a "stepping stone" to a more traditional, full time sleepaway camp, but I loved it so much that I came back year after year.

my favorite place in the world...i am 18 and have been coming to this camp for 9 years. my best friends are the people i met at camp and i have never had such a better experience in my life. i love you all! ck oh 8 is only 6 months away

This camp was ok. I went there for a long time and enjoyed all of the people I met and am still friends with many of them today, but I don't think it has anything to do with the camp. The people who run it are ok, but in the end, they really are business people. But, of course that is what they are suppose to be. I think the concept of the camp is great, but the activities are nothing to get excited over. The activities are arts and and crafts that only little kids would like. I would have prefered much more interesting activites to do during my summer. Overall, the people were great but the camp not so much.

This camp is okay. I love the friends I made and the counslers were really funny but sometimes they would forget about the kids and hang out with the other counslers. I personally thought the sessions were too short. And I did like how we came home on the weekends.

this camp is my home, my love, and my life. i agree, the camp is fabulous for younger campers, and the food may not be so great but lets be honest what camp does have good food? but depsite the activities and the food, the friends you make, whether you are 7 or 17, are everlasting friendships. ckct is the glue that holds strong friendships together. i think every day is a blast, even if my meals arent delicious or my schedule isnt entertaining. the friends and the experience beats out everything else. i think this camp is a place that people will start at when they are little and come back for several years to come. i miss everyone so much! ckct love forever

I thought this camp was good for younger kids but it wasn't as focused for the older kids of at camp. The activities aren't so great and the food is awful. The only reason I went back a second year was because I made some of the greatest friends and couldn't wait to see them again. But my sister, who is younger, loves the camp. So I think this camp is more geared for younger children...but even if you are older you do make great friends

Campus Kids CT is literally my second home. The staff cares about you, and they pay a lot of attention. The facilities are great, clean bathrooms, and air conditioned rooms, if you are a girl. The rooms are still nice for boys. There are a large variety of activities, you will never get bored. The counselors are cool, and they treat you well. People always reach out to new campers. Next summer will be my sixth year. I met a lot of new people and friends, I have no idea what i will do without them. Very diverse staff, people from Australia, England, and even Wales. I am in touch with all of my counselors. Every night we are given candy and a soft drink at Cabanas, and we have a camp dance every 2 weeks. Great people, the best camp ever. When you go home on the weekends, you have so much to look forward to on Monday. The cafeteria food is getting better, its not too great, but its better than most camps. If you are looking for a camp, go here. It is honestly the best you could ever go to

This camp isn't bad but it was not the greatest. I went there for 2 years and the campus is AMAZING, the activites were great and I made a load of friends. The only thing I did not like were the counsellors. When I got strep throat my first summer, my counsellor could have cared less she told me to suck it up and take a motrin. Also when my roomate got home sick my counsellor yelled at her, telling her she isnt the only one who misses home and needs to get over her self. I dont know if the counsellors are still like that, but other than that the camp was good.

i dont think its is a great place if you want to go to a really "campy" camp. if you want a ypical camp experience, it isn't the place for you. i think it is an ok camp, but you only truely begin to LOVE it once you make your friends! i love the people that i met there!! but it is all relative. the camp itself depends on the people that go there during the summer, and how you get along with them.

This camp is amazing. Its fun, its all inside, and you really make some really great and close friends. It also doesn't hurt that it is all indoors and air-conditioned. What other camp do you get to sleep in college dorm rooms? Although, I will admit that some of their facilities need a little work and some of their art activites seemed like a total waste of time. You really don't go there to play sports and stuff, just to basically spend weeks hanging out with your friends. Since it lets out on the weekend it is good for little kids just starting to go to summer camp.

Campus Kids rocks! The staff are great, the food's great (it's college food), there is a great variety of activities, and the best part is that you choose your own activities from a choice list! If you are the only person who is signed up for an activity, then you can join another one. No one is left out! The only thing I don't really like about this camp is the sleeping conditions - it gets really hot, and the rooms get temperatures up to 90°F, and it's hard to sleep. You can't bring your own portable air conditioners because it is the college property. But that is the only I don't like about the camp - everything else is great! Intercamp activities are offered, where you compete against other camps in sports - but they are optional. There is transportation provided from different places in the tri-state area, and the transportation is great Peter Pan coach buses. I think that's everything!

Campus Kids is the best camp that ever was invented. it rocs my socks. i luv that it is a week day sleep away camp where you can come home on the weekend. the staff is the funnyiest and nicest ever. everything is great. GO DOLPHINS!!! (MY group summer 2005.) I rated everything the best because it is the best just go to www.campuskidsCT.com to learn more. I LOVE CKCT (campus kids conniect!!) it rules as if i haven't said that already!! everyone is nice and hanging out at bunk time rocs. as if i haven't said enough. goodbye.

THIS IS MORE THAN A CAMP ITS MY HOME! i love i went there for the first time the summer before 7th grade and i made freinds within a day. everyone was sooo welcoming and nice and freindly. the counslers were funny and after a week they stop being ur counslers and start being ur friends,, i look at them like my big sisters minus the fighting. EVERYTHING about this camp is 100% perfect. its not too big were u dont know half the people but not too small were its cramped. its perfect. i made the best frenids there! we always keep in touch over the summer i mean really this is an amazing camp I LOVE IT!! im going back next year and the year after that, really its just that good and i dont know why anyone would think otherwise

This camp is not just a camp, its a home. They have everything to offer from sports to crafts. The counslers are great and the food is like home cooking. If you would like a more run down gross camp then another camp might be good for you but if you want a camp you will actually like..campus kids ct is for you!

Awful! The staff was awful. They could've cared less about the campers, they went and got tattoos over the weekend! The activities were the same few lousy choices everyday, like three sports and then arts and crafts where you would do a very juvenille project. The only good thing about this camp was it did have nice facilities. Besides that it was awful. It is also bad how you come home on the weekends, since by the time you get used to camp, you're back home. A lot of time was spent packing and unpacking and waiting for buses.

Campus Kids is the best place for kids to go to camp. The vibe you get from the minute you step off the buses is that this is going to be your family for your stay at camp. The people are amazing, and yes it is nicer facilitated then some other camps it still has a complete camp vibe. You get to choose your own activities for each period of the day, the food although not amazing is better then some other camps I've attended. The staff is amazing! I love everyone there, the cameprs are all nice and you make so many life long friends there. I found my home away from home there, a place where I could truely be myself, I can't imagine my summers without Campus Kids.

I have been going to this camp for 5 years now! I LOVE IT! Anyone can go and find a friend, and they become family in about 2 days! I recommed going to this campfor all ages, you are never to young or old for this camp! It is my life! :)

CKCT is my home. Although it gets steryoptyped for being a "fancy camp" because we sleep in dorm rooms instead of cabins. But you know what, the dorm rooms are nothing different than a bunk with the fact that there are doors. The food is ok..its pretty much life camp food..but its not college food..trust me. I do not come back year after year because of dorms or indoor pools...i come back because my lfie is here and so are my best friends. My first year i went for 2 weeks and made a group of amazing friends and then next year and yea rafter i came for 8...the whole summer. My best friends are here at ckct and i can't say that enough. When i got home i could not stop crying. This is not just a place to go for the summer..its a place to be yourself and no matter what you're doing you're with your closest friends. The staff is so welcoming yet they become your sisters/brothers. CKCT is everyones second home. Join the family

THE BEST CAMP i have EVER been too. The people here are just amazing. The food is great, and the activitties are so much fun. and the best part is that you get to go home on the weekends to see your parents, so you dont get homesick. I LOVE IT THERE

This camp is not a day camp, it is a week day sleep away camp and then the campers come back on the weekends. It is a wonderful camp and the staff/directors are just so friendly. They are there when the campers need a hug or just to feel loved. Also, they are there to assist in activities and be a leader. The campers count down right after the last day of camp is over till next summer. They adore camp and cannot wait to be there again. It is a great experience for children because if they aren't too good with sleep away camps, they can come home on the weekend and be with their family. It is a great camp and i hope more people decide to join the ckct family. :)
