Who wants a pool? This lake is the best cuz you can dive off the raft and take out boats! And the counselors are the best. When you are going into sixth grade you can take sailing.

I loved the six summers i spent at Winding Trails. I was a camper for four years then a cit for two. I got to experience it as a camper then as a part of the staff and it was great both ways. I know people complain that there is a lake but it has become a lot better, it is really clean now. The staff are really nice, and make sure you are havin a fun time. As an older camper you get to choose some of your own activites too. I also enjoyed to sailing program. Getting to camp was convient as well. A bus picked people up in my town and brought us. I would recomend this camp to anyone, there is a great preschool progrom all the way up to the cit program(entering 9th and 10th grade).

I loved everyone and everything here. It is very active and fun! The only thing I didn't like is that there is a lake instead of a pool. Yucky! I hated that part. This camp is great for 4 square lovers. I also didn't like the choice stuff, it was boring. Arts and Crafts was horrible! We just sat around and did nothing. Otherwise, it was great!

Both my sons tried this camp. Counselors were more interested in each other than the kids. Some days they just wouldn't get to swimming. One of my sons had his shirt stolen during swimming and flushed in toilet by other campers. Camp didn't apologize. Would not recommend for younger kids.

winding trails is an o.k. camp, i had some good times here as a kid (ok...5 years of good times) but the staff program is a bit too lax with their selective efforts. they excluded me from getting into the CIT program a few years ago do to me having to switch interview appointments with someone. they told us this, and the person that i switched with didnt get in either. their choices of staff are poor, they choose bad students and unathletic people alike. the facilities are falling down, kids get pretty much drowned in the rain, and the bathrooms always smell like someone has thrown up in there and forgotten to flush the toilet. Garmany Hall has a distinct fishy air about it as well. the only good thing i have to say about this wreck....err....i mean camp is that the activities that they plan are pretty good when they go through with them. a lot of the time, it's too hot to do anything, so everyone just sits around. Winding trails isnt exactly summer paradise, but it'll do, i guess. ***

Have been here since 4th grade and now i have a paying job here as a Junior Counselor. This camp is amazing and surprises me every year with new stuff. I will be here for a very long time. Is also the one of the only camps that can pull off the big capture the flag game 3rd session so make sure that your there!!
