I can only say good things about this camp. I have been going there for four years and I love it. The staff is amazing. I have never met a counselor at this camp that I haven't liked. This camp teaches kids Jewish values without making it boring. All of the activities are great. Go to this camp if you want to have a fun summer and learn a little about Judaism.

Camp is my home away from home. It is honestly true that more people cry when they leave then when they come. The staff is amazing and I have made so many life long friends. If you dont send your kid to CCP you have prob;ems. I love camp charles pearlstein and always will!

I went to this camp and thought this was the worst camp I have ever been to and I've been to two previous sleep away camps which were amazing. The showers goes cold within a minute and you usually have company of a spider or a unknown bug with you at all times. The food was horrible and I lost weight just going there because of it. They say you get to choose your activities but really you never do, its whatever they "Prechosen" for you. The Dirt there was horrible, I had a huge asthma attack to the point that I could barely breathe. I don't suggest this camp to children with asthma or allergies, I would go to a different Jewish camp in the southwest instead.

CCP is an awesome camp! I have had a amazing time there every single year i have gone. The people are great, and so are the couselors. The only problem is that CCP is pretty rundown. The cabins don't have bathrooms or AC in them, The bathrooms are always wet for some reason, The lake that CCP uses for canoeing is about a half an hour away from the actual camp, and the dirt at Pearlstein not only gets everywhere, but will stain. (Don't ask me why!) Other than the fact that it is pretty rundown, it is a great camp. I love CCP some much that I will never go to any other summer camp and LTP is not only the best unit but the best time to be at Pearlstein. (You have only experienced the best parts of Pearlstein if you have gone on an LTP trip. They are downright AWESOME!)CCP has supplied thousands of people with great memories of what a real summertime should be and I would HIGHLY recommend it for anybody. (Oh yeah, It definetely helps to be Jewish there as it is a Jewish camp.)

It is a very fun camp, they have great staff & counselers that become your friends. Activities that everyone can enjoy are planned from 8am to sometimes 10pm. There are also great one or two night trips around AZ, and for LTPers (9th-10th Graders) they travel for about 5-7 days random places across the US. I would strongly reccomend going to this camp, but I think it is better if you start going when you are in 5th or 6th grade, and it gets really fun when you are in 9th or 10th grade. A camper can become a Jr. Counceler and ultimately a counceler or maybe be part of the staff. Nearly all of the staff is a CCP alum, except for the foreign councelers who come from all over the world. ANY KID SHOULD GO! GO!!!

Bring on the GRILLED CHEESE!!! Camp Pearlstein is one you'll never wanna stop going to. Jodi Brian Schanerman and all the other staff make camp more than religious but it also becomes your summer family. Newcomers that have never gone to camp and even some who have will cry when they have to leave their family and friends behind during the summer(and drive for hours on a hot bus to get there!) but more people cry when they leave the camp. . . HONESTLY!!! Besides getting to share your summer having fun with others of your religion( and losing a couple pounds, not cause the food is bad but because it is such an active camp!) you are constantly moving, inside jokes form camp and/or cabin wide. It is any where from I think 1-8 weeks of pure fun enjoying yourself and smiling! Oh and watch out for the LTPers when they get back from their trip!!!They're crazy!!! COME TO PEARLSTEIN!

By far the greatest camp on the planet. Nothing can ever compare to the experience you get at this camp.
