I can't go one day throughout my 10 months at home without thinking about camp. This will be my eighth summer returning back to camp and I couldn't be more excited. The bonds that are created at camp are undeniably the strongest bonds I have ever created and I have no doubt that they will last a lifetime. During the summer, I feel my best self and always ready for a new day. Robindel has taught be friendship, loyalty, respect, spirit, and so much more. Every day brings a new memory, and I have learned the most important skills at camp. Sure, there may be some conflicts throughout the summer, but it teaches girls to grow and is important lessons. I am so lucky to have spent my last 7 summers at this magical place and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I was a camper from 1966-1971. Almost 50 years later, I still don't go a week without a Robindel memory (either triggered by a song that was used in Sing or a smell--lake water over-laced with motor oil and gas from the boats. Yes, the girls were very cliquie but not all. I just kept open to friendship from anyone but figured (like at school) to stick close to those who were more open-minded and friendly and not materialistic. There were plenty of those, And our counsellors were always the best: caring, empathic, and great teachers. If I could go back I would; just no way I'd be able to afford it! WOW!! Thanks mom and dad. I had no idea how costly Robindel was. Worth every dollar!

I was a staff member last year and I had an awful experience. As I child, I grew up a summer camp and loved it. If you are not connected by being an internal staff, returning counselor, or former camper, you get stuck doing the odd jobs. The camp made lots of false promises to me.

This place is unprecedented. I have 3 children who go to 3 separate camps. This is above and beyond all of them. Incredibly caring directors, skilled and passionate staff, down to earth parents and kids. I recommend this camp without hesitation. It is one of a kind. A real gem!

Camp Robindel is an amazing camp! My daughter has had spectacular sunmers, full of activities and lifelong friends. Ann and Nat, the camp owners care about the girls and are very much intuned with waht is going on socially. My daughter was homesick for the first 48 hrs. Her bunk mates surrounded her with hugs and smiles, as she participated in the wide range of activities, she thrived at Camp Robindel. I am not aware of "jappy" cliques. This is a phenomenal camp for sporty girls who like to have a lot of fun and not take themselves so seriously. Expensive is a relative term. You do get what you pay for, the food, staff, equipment and activities are top notch. My daughter is having another great summer, full of activities and friends she will have for life in an amazingly beautiful and safe environment. Priceless.

AKA RobinHELL, my daughter was harrassed and tormented to the point that she begged me to pick her up early. The girls at this camp are snobby, cliquey, and malicious. I would stay far, far away from this place.

I'm about to go into my eighth summer at robindel and it has been the best experience of my life. The bonds I have made will never be broken with life long memories. Many say camp is their second home but for me it is my first. I am never more myself than the seven weeks I spend with all of my sisters. Sadly, this upcoming summer will be my last and I cannot begin to express the sadness I feel when the thought of leaving crosses my mind. I can't imagine not spending my summers in the greatest place in the world. Send your kid here! The only downside is that they love it too much and are sad when they get home.

When I think of Robindel, I think of my 2nd home. I could NEVER imagine summers without Robindel. I have made the most AMAZING friends in the past 5 summers that I would not replace for the world. A lot of people are saying how this camp is all about looking good, and boys and handbags, etc. Honestly, no one in my bunk cares how they look at camp. We wake up in the morning, put on a sweatshirt, and go to breakfast. No one cares if they look good or bad, that's one of the amazing thing about Robindel. Yeah, we talk about boys and clothes occasionally, but what teenage girls don't? If you are ever thinking about sending your daughter to Robindel, I guarantee that this is the best decision you will ever make for her. Robindel is a place for friendships, laughter, and learning new skills you could never learn anywhere else. I have so many amazing memories at Robindel, and I know there will be so many more in the future. This camp is not miserable, the only time I cry is when leaving camp.

Owners completely out of touch with needs of the campers and not strong enough to deal with social issues associated with girls. Enrollment has dropped over 100 girls in the past 5 years. Don't waste your money!!

Camp Robindel is the greatest place in the world!! You will make so many memories that you cherish forever! The facilities are great and the food is amazing!! The girls are not stuck up and j.a.p.s they don't care about clothes or handbags! They care about their friendships that will last forever. The bunks are nice! Lake Winnepesaukee is gorgeous!! Join the robindel family!! You won't regret it!!

The word "J.A.P." can be offensive, and I understand why people here are loathe to use it. However, as UrbanDictionary will tell you, a J.A.P. is a girl whose has been pampered to such an extent from such a young age that when she is faced with the concept of not being the most important, beautiful princess in the room, she can't hack it. Robindel is full of beautiful young girls who walk the line of J.A.P. daily. They are full of potential and intelligence, but self-absorption, social competition, and lack of empathy and common sense run rampant. Girls understand money and the need to marry and discuss it; and play soccer. There are uniforms, but they come in all styles and are ungodly expensive. I believe there are handbags as well. There is a lot to do and to learn at Robindel, and a lot to say about its grounds, its staff, and its campers -- but anyone unaccustomed to the value systems innately at play in traditionally "J.A.P-py" social structures is in for a challenge.

Camp Robindel is the best place on earth!!! It's like going to heaven for 7 weeks! The people who didn't like it must have just had some bad experience there that they can't get over! I have the closest friends in the world at camp robindel and it just made me sad to see what the people who don't like it wrote about it! If you're reading this i highly recommend joining our community!!! Everyone is very open to a new Robindel Family member! I joined the community just 2 summers ago and after the first day i already felt at home!!!! Can't wait for camp this summer!!! robindel cedar '09!!!! :)

Camp Robindel is absolutely 100% the best thing that could happen to any girl lucky enough to see the happiness that comes with the summers spent there. It is a privilege to be able to go to such a great camp. I know that I have gotten only the best experience out of Robindel. I have no complaints. There is nothing I would change in the world about my time spent there. The facilities are beautiful. The staff is great. The activities are all loads of fun. Ann and Nat, the camp directors only mean well and really take your opinions to heart. Robindel is fantastic and I feel bad for the people who do not get to be a part of the Robindel family.

Robindel is a camp filled with smart, well educated, passionate girls. Each summer they come from around the tri-state area to spend time with their friends who you remain in constant contact with. The camp itself is a wonderful place that maintains tradition with character building activities . Are there Japs there? yes of course, but not everyone is. If your daughter chooses to become friends with those people or turn out that way that is her business as well as the parents who tend to nourish their jappyness. Robindel is a home to many young girls and the camp although strict, brings out the best in people. It teaches you to bond with all different kinds of personalities and truly live on your own. The experience depends on your daughter. It is a wonderful time and the staff is caring and the facilites nice. Ann and Nat although at times over the top mean well and only have your daughters best interest at heart. I mean dont you want your child to be safe? i would.

My child has been at this camp for 6 years and is planning to continue and possibly return as a counselor. The facilities are beautiful and in great condition. The counselors she has had were amazing and from the letters and occasional scheduled phone calls I can tell that she really loves it there. The friends she has made will be her friends for life. Although people think that this camp is "jappy" the people there are really well mannered girls and don't bring hand bags or rich, designer clothes to camp. They follow a traditional dress code which makes everything easier. No one feels left out because they don't have expensive items. Over all ROBINDEL IS AMAZING!!!! The two directors Ann and Nat could not be warmer and put all of their effort towards everyone's individual issues so that everyone feels at home. ROBINDEL HAS BECOME MY DAUGHTER'S SECOND HOME!

My daughters have been Robindel campers for years and LOVE it. Ann and Nat are warm and wonderful. The staff is caring and in touch with their campers. The uniforms make things so much easier -- much less competition for the "right" labels. It is clearly the most beautiful camp we have ever seen - Lake Winnipesaukee is gorgeous. The biggest drawback is that based on the cost (which is among the most expensive), the bathrooms in the cabins could be nicer.

OMG Robindel is my life!!!! If I coud live there, trust me I would.And there is obviously something wrong wih someone who dosn't have only great things to say about Robindel. Robindel has tought me to be a good person and other life lessons. Camp is a very fortunate experience and has only been not just good, but absolutely 100% PERFECT. I don't care what people say about my second home because it is so not true. I love it and Robindel will ALWAYS have a place in my heart.

so.... if you think that robindel is a jappy camp... then you think that im a jap. hell no im not a jap!! trust me. from my experience, not all that we talk about is boys and handbags i dont no what the heck you all r sayin. im sure all girls camps have some convos about boys unless you are weird. i mean comeon seriously. and there is uniform and no one cares how they look at camp. i no for one that i dont! and neither does the rest of my bunk. i agree there are some horrible girls who should be kicked out of camp *COUGH COUGH feld a 07* but the majourity of the girls are nice. its best to send your child early so she can make friends and kids are less excluding when everyones younger and new. its harder to fit in when you come at an older age and everyone has formed frendships and groups. ROBINDEL FOR THE MOST PART THOUGH, IS AMAZING!

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Robindel. However, I did have a hard time socially because I wanted to have a classic camp experience and try everything, but Robindel girls are "jappy" so I did not fit in very well and was constantly teased in a vicious manner. The young counselors in the bunks are great overall, but sometimes they can lose interest in watching young kids. I once woke up with a terrible fever as a seven year old and told my counselor, but she did not help me very much. Luckily, I was quite able to fend for myself. I also had counselors at Robindel who would have gone above and beyond in that situation and did. I loved Robindel, but make sure you really consider who you are and what you would like to get out of camp before you choose Robindel.

I love this place so much!! This summer was my last and I cried so hard the last couple days. My friends have become my family and the camp my home. I'm so lucky that I was able to go to such a wonderful place. Most people will never get to experience the amzing things that happen at Camp Robindel. If you ever get to attend this place you will be one of the luckiest people in the world and you will always remember it as the best summers of your life. People who say otherwise have no idea what the camp is all about. I'm going to miss it so much especially that I can't go back next year but it is the most amazing place on earth. Am I correct when I read that the cost of this camp is $8575 per camper? With 300 campers the owners are taking in over 2.5 million per summer.Is this correct? If it is...it is obscene.

I went here for 7 years and this is my second year returning as a counselor. I have in total spent a year and a half of my life at this place. Camp robindel is the best place on earth.
It has amazing activities, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. It is run flawlessly.
Robindel has made me a better person.

I went when I was 8 and 9 years old. It wasn't that great to be honest. The place looks beautiful, but the girls are pretty obnoxious, and the counselors hardly cared about us at all. They have good pancakes though, I still remember that...and the sing was fun (go blue). But honestly, I tried to like this place, and it really is for stuck-up girls who like to wear nice clothing in the wilderness.

yeah, the facilities are nice, but the kids, for the most part, really are jappy and materialistic, more so than other camps with a lot of rich jewish kids. i went here for a few summers, until i finally realized that this was like being back home in my jappy town, only without the schoolwork of the year.
