This is a real camp experience with a lake, pool and lots of outdoor fun!The option to go for a week at a time is also great. My daughter started at 8y/o and I was unsure so volunteered as the Nurse in the infirmary. I really got to see the camp from the inside out. I was impressed with the staff the ethos of the place. My daughter has been back every year since, working on 4 years now and has brought friends. I highly recommend this camp option. My daughter has learned independence, and has had other learning opportunities that have complimented her academic education.

This camp has a lot going for it. The location is beautiful, the counselors are really good, and the kids are really friendly and nice. This camp is fairly unique for having one-week sessions, so it's really good for a first time away from home experience. I went there once in 8th grade for summer camp. The three days I was there were really fun. Three days in, though, there was this major lice infestation (like over half the kids had got lice) so they sent EVERYONE home and closed down the camp for the rest of the week. Yeah...so I didn't get the full length experience, but I liked it well enough. Note that you will be living essentially in a big tent with no air conditioning/bathroom/electricity/real doors (a mouse gave birth to babies on one of my friend's bed) and you will be eating food very similar to school food. Your flashlight will be your best friend (along with your bug spray). And, like all things, if you approach it with a positive attitude, you will have a great time.

I've been going here for 3 years straight as a camper, and my mom used to work there! Probably the only bad thing is that before you get in the pool, you have to take a really long shower, and all the bugs, but it is the woods ! I love camp so much ! And for those people who rated it badly, you probably didn't make any friends because you either didn't try, or you did something wrong . Everybody is really friendly, the food is good, and the lake is beautiful ! Even Mama Mushy Torque !

Food is horrible! All carbs, little protein, few veggies beyond small salad bar. Would not recommend. Staff is difficult and unfriendly.

This is my favorite place to go any time of the year. I'm there all the time with my church and in the summer. The facilities are the best and the staff is warm and welcoming. After going to camp at jburg I can honestly say that I will never go to a different camp because i have found a home with them there. In a week I had made life long friends who I can talk to any time.

This is a great camp to send children of any age to. I attended this camp growing up and now my children attend this camp. I HIGHLY recommend this camp for everyone!!

This camp is awesome The staff is soo nice, and will do anything to make you feel comfortable facilities are actually mostly gross but if you go certain places like the dining hall or the nurse, they're actually pretty decent, Activities are soo fun, Archery, Slip and slide, boating, art, nature, annything non school related, but there's no technology accept for cameras allowed, Personal attentin is great because there are so few people to a unit there are about 200 campers each week and only like 10 to a unit, monetary Value... huh? It is a religious camp but its not all religious only for like maybe 4 hours out of 144 hours the rest is pure fun when you're signing up u can request a friend to stay in the same unit with you if you don't want to go alone. The campers are also awesome, even if they're brats at home, it all leaves when they get to the camp, i guess the friendlyness, and not seeing parents for a week helps them along, really a great camp hope you'll think to go here!

BEST CAMP EVER. hands down. i love going there! I first went on a retreat with my youth group. had an amazing time and went to summer camp! HP4<33 week 3 summer 2005. best timess ever!I misss it soo much!! it soo cool having counselors from different countries there too!. Last summer i went to night owls. that was fun too. soo much fun staying up and walking around camp when everyone else is asleep. i didn't go this summer but i miss it!! i'll be going back in the winter for retreats im sure!=)
