Camp Thunderbird is the BEST CAMP out there. There is a strong community there that cannot be replicated anywhere else. The staff are friendly and kids come back summer after summer.

This is a great camp, and this will be my 7th year going to camp here. I am going on the JL or Junior Leader trip.

This place is great. I have spent some amazing summers up here and let me tell you it is a fantastic camp. The staff is comprised of youthful, fun people from all over the world. The camp offers so many unique experiances for both staff and campers. There is a strong sense of tradition as well as a wonderful feeling of excitment from first year campers and staff. For parents, it is a very safe and rewarding place to send your kids.

I recently went to the Pacfic Northwest commonly known as the PNW. I am so glad i did it. I had the best time of my life and if I had the chance I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Great trip programs, great in-camp programs, great staff, great everything. The scrambled eggs leave a little to be desired, but even the pickiest eaters will be fine and learn to like new stuff as well. Almost any activity you can imagine. I can't reccomend it any higher.

This place houses memories worth more than money can buy. Do you want to be alone in the moddle of the backcountry forests with your best friends awesome staff and exceptional program. THis is Thunderbird. It's Green, we do crazy fun stuff, we allow people to grow into the real person they should be. They are the reason some people have strived so far and done so much with their lives

the five years i have been here i do not regret one single moment of it. The lessons learned, the experiences, the staff, and the campers are all just great. it is an experience of a lifetime.

Last summer this camp gave me the experience that most individuals don't get to experience in their life. The Pacific North West backpacking trip was amazing. As a younger camper, working up to this trip was definitely worth it.

My 9 year old son went to Thunderbird last summer and had an exceptional experience. I picked him up at summer's end and met lots of the staff as well. I cannot speak more highly of this place. The staff is wonderful; they adored the children. Many are international (esp. Australia and England). As one young counselor told me, Thunderbird strives to create an environment where a child can feel safe to take risks, to try something that he might not be able to do easily. The camp deemphasizes competition and stresses personal development. This is not a camp for jocks. As another commenter noted, T-Bird stresses outdoors, both camping (canoing, cycling, backpacking) and love of nature. Sports are secondary, although all sports are represented. My son (a cautious individual) had a phenomenal experience and learned to love new activities like canoing, horseback riding and blacksmithing. I love Thunderbird!

Great "camping" oriented camp. If you like backpacking and/or canoeing, Thundirbird is second to none.

Gah! this place is so freakin' awesome!!! the bathrooms are a bit..."bug infested" if you will, but overall it's a really fun place to be.
