This camp is not for experienced riders. The staff needs to be way more inclusive!!! Please, counsellors, ask how the campers are doing and don't have obvious favorites. I would have felt so much better if someone asked me how I was doing. When I was greeted at camp I didn't even get a decent hello. I felt alone and left out the whole time. Dreamed of being home every single day. Please help everyone feel welcome.

If you are an advanced rider this camp is not for you. There are not enough showers, and few activities. This camp would be more fun for little kids, or unexperienced riders.

I went last year for my first week of overnight camp ever and I was scared to be away for a whole week. Five minutes after my parents left I had met 4 really nice girls who showed me everything they loved about the camp. I rode the sweetest horse and became friends with almost everyone from my cabin. The food and activities are amazing and I loved all of the counselors so much. I cried for an hour when I got home and signed up for two weeks this year. I still talk to my friends and am going back with them this year. It was the best week of my life please go it's definitely worth it!

I was a camper for 8 years and loved it at the time. could never say a negative thing about Kemur. I then went on to become staff for one year and it changed my opinion. Other working students and CITS were seen as better because they are better riders (as in they show at rated shows, even though this doesn't make them better) despite the fact that they didn't interact with campers other than to order them around. (this literally came right out of several campers mouths). Most of the riding groups are sorted by who shows and who doesn't. This means there were girls in the highest level simply because they show trillium or A circuit, and not because they are competent, smart, and kind riders. My last year as a camper I was given a horse far below my limit, and forced to watch my group members jump much higher than me, when I was jumping twice the height at home under several certified coaches. Kemur is fun, but they have truly lost the original experience amid the money they're making.

This camp is the best one i have ever been to. By the end of the week i was so tire they really capt me busy. My horse was great and it seemed like she was made just for me and at the end of the week i was oh so sad to see her go. She was the best horse i have ever rode. Bothover huge courses and on trail. The food there was amazing! Fyi its cooked by a chef that cooked for royalty. I find the food there is better then at home (and my mom maks 5 star food). Home sikness is not a problem because they keep you so busy you don't even have time to think about it. Overall when i was there i hade the BEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!!

This was the greatest experience ever! To all the moms and daughters out there who are afraid of sleepaway camp, there is no need to be worried! I had the best time ever! All the counselors and girls were sooo sweet! They made me feel at home there! I will say that they do have one or two snobby girls there, but what summer camp doesn't? I loved the fact that the horses aren't cooped up in stalls, but rather let out to pasture after they've been ridden! I've gone there for 2 summers know, and I still LOVE the two horses I rode: Prada and Bobby! I love the camp so much, I actually cry when I have to leave! I seriously count down the days until I go back! If you love horses, making new friends, and just plain having a good time, this camp is for you! Whether you're a teen or a young girl, a walk/trot girl, jumping 2 foot 6 inches girl, or have never ridden before, this camp is for you!

The staff are friendly and welcoming. This is first over night camp that my daughter has attended..she has attended for two summers. Kemur takes it serious to make sure each of their campers have a safe and fun experience. My daughter find she gets a great balance between riding, getting to know the horses and the many other activities they have (swimming, sing alongs etc..)..she looks forward to going every year. The younger girls are mentored by the older girls and the counsellors are caring and respectful.

Thi is honestly the best camp I have been to this was my third year there and it was amazing. The counsllers, horses, and every thing else on the property are so nice. I cry at the end of each week because I don't want to leave. I have created some of my best memories at kemur. You will have a great time from going on trail rides, having dance parties and so much more! You're money will be well spent!

this camp was ok, when i went to the camp it was totally disorganized. they put me in a beginner class based on my size and not my SKILL. i was living in the older cabin but doing all day activities with the little kids which made it virtually impossible to make friends. they didn't want me in the older lessons because they were worried my horse would get crushed or something. i was not impressed and i didn't learn anything. if your size and skill match go ahead you will have a great time but if you small and advanced or tall and beginner i would advise you find a different camp to suit you needs.

Once it rains, they have no backup activity to do. They only have about 4 riding levels. They don't even specify what type of riding (cross country, hunter, show jumping, dressage, etc.). Most of the girls are extremely snobby. I wish I hadn't gone

This is an unbelievable camp! My daughter started as a camper when she was eight years old and became a counsellor as she couldn't bear not being there after becoming too old to be a camper. The owners, Chris and Keith Murray are wonderful people and truly care about providing a safe and enjoyable environment for campers and horses! The facilities are maintained beautifully, the gardens are beautiful and most importantly, and the horses and ponies are loved and spoiled. Each year they have a new crop of foals and becoming a camper here fulfills the horsey dreams of every little girl. I just can't say enough good things about this magical place; it's given my daughter the friendships of hundreds of girls who loves horses as much as she does and now, the opportunity to teach other young girls the joy of being around horses.
