This Camp is completely misrepresented on the website. Owners promise lots of fun activities and plenty of riding. Never happened. The field trip was to the dollar store! Camp was run by a 19 year old. No professional trainers or organized activities. Facilities are run down and unclean. Owners have been unresponsive to concerns. Don't send your daughter here. Big waste of time and money.

This camp is completely misrepresented. My 9 year old just returned from a HORRIBLE week there. The couple that "run" the camp are not involved at all - except for meal time. Other than that they are tucked in their home which is quite a distance from where the girls are. The website boast professional riding instruction - they have a bunch of teenagers running the riding lessons (which last about ten minutes a day). the rest of the day is spend is the horrendous 'bunks' which are unclean horse stalls - each have two sets of bunk beds in them. they are filthy dirty and the showers and amenities look as if they've NEVER been cleaned. talk about unsafe - the barn where these little girls sleep is left unlocked and the "Junior Counselors" are sleeping in the 'nicer barn' next door. the JC's really don't want much to do with the littler girls - so they little girls are left to sit in the filthy barn much of the day bored. a total rip off and should be reported to the Board Health.

Owners told us this would be an appropriate camp for a 16 year old girl. The other campers were 12 years old and younger. They said other teens were coming in a couple of days, 7 days later, no others had arrived. Horsebackriding lessons had 6-8 girls in each group. No trail rides or other activities with horses as advertised. No barn for horses. Not much else to do around camp. Kids stayed inside playing cards much of the time. There were counselors younger than my daughter who paid less than her to attend camp. Our daughter decided to leave since she had no peers. They refused to give us any money back even thouch they lied when they said there were "plenty" of girls her age. And they didn't turn anyone away to let her in.

I have been going to this camp for 5 years. The camp is run extremely efficiently and is clean and ultra safe. I am not sure what the reason for the bad response below but it is not true!I believe it was a very unhappy camper taking revenge.
I went on an overnight horse trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also went on a camp trip to a rodeo that was 2 1/2 hours away from camp. It was an experience I will never forget
All the counselors were extremely helpful and the horses are the best. And they own them all.
I am even planning to go on the teen tour in my senior year of high school

Although the counselors are nice and the horse back riding instruction is okay, the food is very poor and the sleeping areas (stalls in a barn)and bathrooms are filthy. A typical meal consists of plain pasta, wilted, brown lettuce, and a fruit-flavored drink. (Milk is served only once a day and meat is a rarity). Although the website boasts field trips like white-water-rafting trips and horse shows (which you pay a hefty fee for at registration), the only field trips my daughter went on was a hike on nearby free trails and a trip to the local pizza parlor where the campers spent their own money for dinner. The bathroom in the sleeping area (shared by 30+ girls) consisted of one toilet, one wet unusable roll of toilet paper, and no sink. Don't believe the hype on their Web site. This camp is expensive, but it doesn't deliver.
