I wouldn't recommend this camp to anyone or their girls. On August 19th to August 21st 2016, my 7 year old daughter & I stayed at this camp. My daughter's last camp experience as a girl scout because she was not interested in becoming a brownie. When we were leaving Sunday I noticed bites all over my daughter & myself. I didn't think anything of it until AFTER we got home & was later diagnosis by a Dr. that it was BED BUGS BITES FROM THIS CAMP! I had to wash and throw away things at my home, wash everything we owned from clothes, furniture, to mattresses. Lost out on work to do so. My crying, miserable daughter & myself covered in inflamed, itchy bites for almost 2 weeks going through a tube of medicated cream a day. I even had an exterminator come to my house to make sure nothing came home with us. (Thank God nothing)
After talking to the camp director multiple times & this even went up to the CEO & financial advisor of girl scouts! The way they handled the situation was HO

This camp is AWESOME for the camper, great things to do and incredible facilities! However, the camp treats its staff like complete crap, they are not respected or given credit for any work they do. The barn area leaves alot to be desired especially if you can actually ride well. Challenge course is great as is pool.

Camp Hawthorn Hollow is a great place to grow as a camper or as a counselor. The facilities are well kept. There are a lot of creative and physical activities that encourage confidence. Although its a large camp I felt there was a sense of family and unity through out the camp.

An EXCELLENT camp! I worked as a camp counselor this past summer and was impressed by the warm, welcoming staff, superb facilities, and exciting activities. I wish I would have had the opportunity to attend camp as a camper, though being a counselor was a phenomenal experience as well. :D

CHH is a great place for girls to learn and express their indviduality. It's a place for girls to learn responsibilty and other main skills to help them get through life. I've been going here for 8 years and never have i been dissapointed. :)

I LOOVE THIS CAMP! It is so much fun to go to and warm fuzzies are the best. Overall, great camp and y'all should go to it!!

The best place to grow and learn. There are things you get from camp, that can not be found anywhere else.

I've gone to the camp for more than seven years now and I love it there. I was a camper and I interned there for a summer. It was such a great experience. I learned what it was like to be a counselor and what qualities are needed to be the best person you can be as a counselor. It was an amazing experience!!

Camp Hawthorn Hollow is the best camp I have ever been to. It has taught me responsibility, leadership, and many ways to have fun. Girls are allowed to choose their own schedules to help instill independence. They are encouraged to make friends and keep in touch. The facilities are always clean. The staff truely care for the campers. All of the activities are well thought out and extremely fun! I am currently interning here at CHH and could never imagine going anywhere else! Ps. The camp director rocks! :-)

I went here 2x over the summer of 2007 and I completely loved it! I've been going there forever, but this year was deffinitely the best. There's so much room for you to have fun and play, its so a great experience! Right now I work for the camp as an intern and I wouldn't wanna go to any other camp because I couldn't imagine not going here! :] CHH=LOVE!

I worked at this camp as a counselor for three summers. It was an amazing experience. Staff from around the world (France, Jamaica, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, India, Russia, and more) work to provide a fun environment where they encourage girls to learn and try new things. I would definitely recommend attending at least once. All the buildings are in good condition, and the camp is very up to date. They offer facilities such as an in ground pool, horseback riding, and a high ropes course.

I went to this camp for two years and all i wanted to do was go home because my counselors all acted as though everything that went wrong those weeks was my fault. I quit going there and went to a different camp.

I worked here for a summer. Staff are not always the best. The camp is very new with everything up to date and in good working order, amazing facilities. Definately a lot of potential for this camp to grow.
