My father attended this camp as a boy.He would take the train from Oklahoma to Minnesota and stay eight weeks every Summer.I attended this camp as a girl and will always remember it as one of the best times in my life.My daughter will be returning for the third year in a row and will stay six weeks.I am sending my 8 year son for two weeks this Summer.I am sure he will want to stay longer.You cannot say enough good things about this Camp.It is a very special place.The campers are always happy at Mishawaka.You make friends from all over the country.You learn independence and confidence.The weather and natural surroundings are amazing.The camp is smaller than most which allows for intimacy and individual attention.Mishawaka was established over 100 years ago so they are clearly doing something right!All children should be so lucky to experience it.

I went there in the 70's (with current camp owner) and now I have three boys there this year. One in Belding, Mulford, and Gould. It is the best time of year for my kids and great break for the parents. Life lessons learned in Grand Rapids. Mishawaka teachers respect, fitness in mind and spirit, acceptance, and focus. I say focus because there are no electronics, teachers, coaches, hours of driving, homework, or practice. The boys explore what they want to explore in manner in which they want to do it while surrounded by outstanding role models and other young men from across America and the globe.

Mishawaka is such a special place to me, and I want more people to know about it. This is an outstanding place- I have spend five going on six summers there and that's where I want to spend my summers all my life! It's a wonderful place- if you are reading this, please check out the website. :)
