I can't say enough great things about this camp. I loved it as a child and now my children love it, too. I think the creative programming and the high quality of the staff set it apart from other camps, not to mention the healthy & delicious food. It is a fun, nurturing environment in which kids are welcomed and accepted for who they are. Wonderful camp in a beautiful setting!

I went here as a child in the late 80's and early 90's. It was awesome and one of the neatest places I went as a child.

I'm upset that a comment said there is nothing to do. Every summer! counselors and programmers create NEW activities that they believe the campers will enjoy. Besides the scheduled activities the campers know about, there are random fun days, including Rodeo! The camp sets up an actual rodeo for campers to participate. Afterwards, there's a dance. Usually there are "late night" activities where you have a dance, a movie, flashlight tag, or something completely random. I went to this camp for nine years, and my heart breaks every time I think that I can no longer go as a camper. The camp served as a much needed get away. I will never be able to thank the staff as much as I need to. This camp truly is the best two weeks of your life.

This camp is the best it is so much fun andthe counsolers are so cool it it is just the best two weeks ever.

I loved going this camp when I was a kid. Actually I enjoyed birdwatching and canoeing there. It is definitely one of the most beautiful places on earth. Evening Revival meetings are just a tad fire and brimstone. If you can stand that, and all the rich kids from corpus christi, the rest of the camp is fab.

Well there is nothing to do and 2 miles away is the frio river but you cant even go there...utilize your surroundings laity lodge
