Camp Riverbend is an AMAZING place for kids and grown ups. I was a camper and worked on the waterfront and loved every minute of my experience. Would love to send my kids here in the future.

I went to this camp for 3 years and made friends quickly. But after a while you realize that there is a lot of uncomfortable drama with the other campers. Kids called me names, and councilors didn't try to do anything about it until you bring up the subject. The councilors know about all the things going on in the group but do nothing about it until you bring up the topic. Most times you are made to do things in the hot sun. For example, one time my councilor threatened us that if we didn't play lacrosse or participate she would be mean and rude to us when we slept over at the camp. Staff members complain to campers that they could be getting better jobs somewhere else. Councilers yell at kids when they don't do what they want them to do. A counicler near the end of the summer got fired because she yelled at her kids that the were talking back too much and they sucked. Councilers are rude and mean to campers, they make theats on kids when they don't do something. Not a good camp. :(

We LOVE this camp. My kids have gone for several years and start asking about when they can go back as soon as its over. Great counselors, always so much to do and the owners make us feel welcome and loved! Can't recommend this highly enough!

What a wonderful experience for my kids this summer!They came home every day happy and learned and grew so much. yes its pricey but the activites are great, the counselors rae very enthusiastic and we loved it!

This is a WONDERFUL camp!! we have always been treated like fmaily there. great counslors, and lots of fun stuff to do. So close to Essex county!

My kids went to Riverbend and loved it! They were so excited to get on the bus each morning. Lots of personal attentiotn from the Breen family and great counselors. Highly recommend!

Really nasty swimming director. Not sure who it was but an older lady who was incredibly rude to campers. Counselors just young, disorganized, and also rude. I will not send my daughter there again.

Its ok MOnday-Thursday, but the counsellors all come hungover on Friday and the experience really suffers because of this

I went to Riverbend for 8 years, and I loved it! I made so many friends at camp that were in different towns, but not too far away! The Breene's are so fun and every year, there is something new added to the camp! my sisters and I all went to this camp and my youngest sister still does, and when she comes home off the bus all tired and smiling, with ice cream dripped onto her shirt, you can tell she had an amazing day! There is not one bad thing for me to say about this camp, and the day trippers and travel overnight camp are really fun too! This camp is an amazing experience for anyone 5-14 !!!! I wish I was still old enough to go there, because I really loved it and everyone in it!

I just signed my three children up for another summer at camp riverbend. This is my oldest son's 5th year attending riverbend. The activities are great, I visit all the time and they are having so much fun they don't even notice me! The counselors are so great with the kids and really act as good role models. The camp grounds are beautiful and there is always something new each summer which is great. The Breene family is so approachable and you can see the passion they have for this camp. Great camp, can't wait for summer!

Very nice nuturing environment for my kids. The Breene family is super-involved and really made a great connection with all of us. Lots of fun activities for the kids to do, all age-appropriate. My kids adored their counselors who were nice and very caring.

What a terrific camp. I have sent 4 children there over the past several years. The facilities are beautiful, the programs are always changing with new things added every year, and the counselors are mature, caring and fun. I highly recommend this camp.

The camp groups were just too large without enough supervision. Children were wandering off. The counselors were unprofessional and often appeared very stressed. It was unimpressive.

I went to day travel last year and it was amazing! We had so much fun and made so many friends. I learned how to do so many new things and my counselors were great!

My child went the first half of the summer and enjoyed the activites and facilities. However, the camp was understaffed and the counselors seemed overwhelmed and unhappy.

Worste experience ever....shockingly poor supervision...young, unmanaged staff are in charge of your kids...boring...sports in a hot field alot of the time with no sunscreen...and the owners are mean...do not go here

I think Riverbend is great most of the times but sometimes it's a little boring when it rains. The arts and crafts were great. the swimming was good. Sometimes you hike. they keep you very busy with the clubs.

My kids hated this camp and my neighbor's kids hated it so much they stopped going after the first week. Don't go. Some of the facilities are OK but the staff is poor and the kids do not have fun.

This was my first and probably one of best camp experiences I will ever have. my counselors and the staff were mostly nice, there is A LOT of space, great activities, and you can never be bored.

I just found this website and thought I would add a comment about this camp. My son went here for about 5 summers and had a WONDERFUL experience. The staff was great and the bus service/after care/extended hours were a great help as I am a single parent. My son met one of his best friend at the camp and they are still great friends despite living very far away from each other. The Breene family make you feel like part of the family and I felt secure and happy knowing my son had a great experience.

I hated this camp. It was about an hour away,the counslers didn't care about us, we always got our shoes wet, i got stuff ripped, and we would be out all day in the blazing sun! The things we did were soooooooooo boring!

after trying many different day camps I was extremely satisfied and impressed! My kids LOVE it they brought snow in for a winter in july day, there's a carnival day etc... Every friday there's a special performer like a magician or theater group. The staff was top notch, nobody under 18 and most if not all work with kids during the year.

This camp is just OK for 5-7 year olds. After that the kids get bored and are not well supervised. One day my son came home with a black eye and when I called the camp nobody knew that it had even happened. Facilities are good, swimming instruction is good, but it is not a caring or warm place. I would recommend going to a different camp.

Worst camp ever. Run by a bunch of red necks who don't care about kids. Facilities are nice but the counselors are all the Breene family and simply care about the money. Campers tend to be bored, poorly supervised, and not treated well. Senior counselors are not suoervised, qualified, or trained. Please go somewhere else if you care about your kids.

I went there for about 7 years. It was a great experiance but after 5 years it got kind aboring. i wish that they could add new activities. COUnslers were boring and one year my counsler hated us and in general kids, so improvements needed. but I would recomend it for kids ages 5 to 10. I would not send a kid there after 10 years old.
