My kids went to FTC when they were preteen/teen age and really enjoyed it. Now my grandkids have been going for the last 4 years. They started going for 1 week and then last year went for 2 weeks. They are busy with various activities all day long. One was in the riding program and one in adventure. They have made friends that they stay in contact with throughout the year. The food is amazing and they enjoy the sleeping arrangements in dorms. The staff interact with the campers and have a genuine interest in their well-being. Every day there is a trip on the train to the waterfront for swimming and various activities depending on the program they have chosen. Each week there is a cookout at the beach, campfire at the end of the day, games after supper, tuck shop, overnight camping and much much more. This year my grandkids are wanting to go for 2 weeks again and take part in all the activities that are made available in their chosen programs!!

my association with the camp goes many years. My children went to camp here now my grandchildren go to camp at Frontier Trails. Since it's conception the main focus has been a family atmosphere with home cooked meals, caring staff. Campers have become counsellors and campers have become volunteers in their grown up years. Once you have been to Frontier Trails Camp it is hard to resist the pull back. Yes like any camp there are moments but when you have as many diverse individuals that come to camp for weeks at a time. but all in all it feels like home.

My son loved this camp: he didn't have to shower or even change clothes for an entire week, could eat only fast-food since milk was served only at breakfast and fruits and vegetables were not available to campers (except for french fries and, once in a while, canned fruits). Best of all, he was not required to speak English during his "ESL classes", which were just about playing seek-and-find with other kids who would translate everything for him. Since there was no discipline at all, he could do whatever he wanted and ended up having learnt a single new word: gay. Wow ! what a fantastic camp !

NEVER AGAIN! My child (10) went summer 2015 for 1wk. The owner ensured me that bunking with kids own age. NOT true..they were all 13-16. There was an incident in the dorm where another camper wrapped her arm tightly around my child's neck and luckily a counsellor came up but this was at a time with very little supervision and this was the norm. I was not once told of this incident and I inquired with the counsellor that found my child in a state of being strangled and she reported the incident had been shared with the owners, but still not once did anyone tell me! Also, at pick up my child had a dirt ring around her mouth and neck and had not showered in a week! Since my child was in the horse riding program she was not able to participate in certain water activities like the water trampoline. ? So, stayed on shore watching other kids have fun. The morning of the horse show my child was up at 5 am WORKING! The experience was horrible and now fearful of any camp! Not safe!

The camp is getting run down and there were holes in the drywall, multiple broken chairs lying around, etc. The staff were young and not well trained or supervised. The campout involved canoeing out to tents that were full of water so the girls and boys stayed up all night because they were cold and could not sleep in the tents and wet sleeping bags. Also they didn't take a change of clothes or sweaters. The kids were never asked to wear sunscreen all week - bad sunburn. No showers taken either. The boys got up on a roof when all staff were at a meeting. Kids were stealing from tuck shop. We won't go back. Not safe. I think it used to be a great camp but has gone downhill. The adventure activities were great but with poor staff supervision.

I cannot say enough great things about Frontier Trails Camp. I attended when I was young over 30 years ago and the memories still a very special place in my heart! I had the privilege of sending two of my kids this past summer and they absolutely loved every minute of it! Whether your a horse lover or just love to explore the outdoors there is something for everyone at Frontier Trails! Thank you to the Tubby Family and all the extended Staff/Councellors for making it an. enjoyable experience they will never forget!

My 10 yr old daughter had a great overnight camp experience here (in 2011)! She loved the train which made getting from 1 activity to the next, or to the beach, really easy. She fondly remembers a cookout/campfire on the beach for dinner one night. She signed up for the horse riding which fell short of expectations. Unfortunately her riding did not improve much as they were not able to accommodate her level. Lessons are geared to the lowest level rider in the group, not individualized. Thus while she wanted to canter, no one else was ready to. She loved the fact that while a Christian camp with discussions and songs centered around religion, she did not feel it was too much (we only attend church a few times a year). They also had some very interesting discussions about the beginning on time which she couldn't wait to share with us. The dorm style accommodations were pretty 'rustic' and could use some improving. I loved the recognition awards at the parent BBQ upon pickup. Ni

This camp is amazing! I was a camper there years ago and then eventually worked my way up to staff over the years. It provides a home away from home for your children. The staff become like family. The location is great, being in the country for a few weeks is a wonderful break from life in the city. The activities are well organized and provide a ton of ways for kids to burn their energy!!! I started going to this camp over 15 years ago and am still in contact with the owners and staff! Highly recommend it to everyone looking for a great, safe and fun place for their kids over the summer months.

My niece has told me about all the fun she had when she was at camp this last summer and it brought back so many wonderful memories. I remember how much fun I had as a child and I hope that one day my children will also be bale to experience how exciting and enriching your camp is.

This camp is great if your child loves horses or swimming or crafts or interactive games or sports or even EXTREME sports (such as whitewater rafting, rock climbing etc.). I was a camper for 7 years and looked forward all year to this camp. My favourite thing at camp was the friends I made and the wonderful staff that was always smiling and having a great time with us. It's a stay over camp too so we got to know everybody there at a personal level which was great. As a kid at Frontier Trails camp you're always busy, there's always something going on that you can be a part of so don't worry about your child being bored at FTC. For the overall experience it's totally worth the cost to send your child to Frontier Trails camp. Your kid(s) will leave with the satisfaction of having such a great time and having met so many great people, and with the yearning to come back the following summer. I know because I've been there since I was 7 and now I'm a camp counsellor and I'm still loving it.

It's a little expensive. But they do have to take care of horses and such. SO OH WELL! :) I LOVE THIS CAMP. its the bomb. I meet great people and have the time of my life. I always wanna be at camp, And if anythings going on, when I go to camp i'm in the country, I'm relaxing, and having the time of my life. So I don't have to have any worries.
