I was a 4th generation. This was my home away from home. I met two of my best friends for life. We were close with everyone from management, owners, and staff. Us three, approached puberty and we were the oldest. We never stopped loving the camp; our interests in humor and play changed. Eventually by close management, we were asked to not return because we were grumpy. Meeting was held visible in front of dinner hall. It was extremely unprofessional. We did return in random the next summer, but our esteem was depleted. Rockbrook completely contributed to my distance between us three. We all lived different directions and summer was our time to be together. Angie (Angelina Sicola) was murdered several years ago and never solved. Although I can claim our "keep in touch" was our part, we did. But we weren't welcome anymore. It was made very clear. How can a safe place feel comfortable for our wellbeing, if confusingly, we were grumpy? Through new owners they became inhuman. I loathe.

This will be my 5th year and I can't wait! Rockbrook is such a wonderful place and I love it. I am of deathly afraid of spiders though, and we are close with wolf spiders which isn't very fun. My first time at camp I was a junior, and there was a huge spider on the wall by my pillow and I screamed and asked the counselor to move it but she said "if you don't bother it, it won't bother you". I sleep in constant fear of finding a spider on my face when I wake up. Part of what makes camp so great is how rustic it is but with that comes nature. I'll deal with the spiders if that's what it takes because I love camp so much. The food is terrific, and dressing up is really fun. We do skits which are entertaining and fun to do. By the end of camp we have created such great friendships that are part of what we look forward to next year. We are disconnected from the world and our normal lives, and I think that's part of why we can create such great friendships and feel so free to be ourselves.

I went this past year and I had a really nice time. I was able to do a lot of really cool things like go kayaking and whitewater rafting. Everyone was pretty welcoming but I was one of the only new seniors so everyone already had friends from previous years. You do not get much personal attention because it is pretty big but you do gain a lot from the experience.

My two granddaughters have gone there for years and its absolutely the highlight of their year. They've made friends from all points of the globe, and always try to coordinate which session they will sign up for. It is rustic. And the kids don't notice.. It's part of the experience. Activities and staff are awesome. It's been around since the 20's.. Something must be right!

Fabulous first camp experience for my 8- year old who attended a mini-session last summer. Beautiful setting and a positive environment with lots of tradition--part of what makes camp so special. She loved the food and activities and riding which is a strength here. She tended to repeat activities- may be due to the sign up process which was confusing to her the first year. I'm hopeful that she'll be more adventurous this summer and will be sure her counsellor is aware-based upon last years experience I anticipate they will be responsive to my request. Most importantly I heard no comments from my daughter about cliques or bullying. I abhor that type of behavior and choosing camp that did not tolerate, much less foster that was extremely important to me and appreciated reviews from others on camps where it is an issue. My girl is excited to go back for a full session this year- her tshirt arriving soon! I am confident Rockbrook is a place she'll look forward to for many years.

I LOVE THIS CAMP. I have gone here for five years and I plan to keep on coming. The staff is amazing and the counselors are so funny. The activities are great and everything is perfect. The only problem that there might be is that it is very rustic. If you don't want to be living in a small cabin sharing a bunk bed, beware. I wouldn't keep that from letting you come though. I know some very "city" girls and they adjust fine. Also I recommend going to the longer session. Your so busy you don't have time to get homesick and it is just so much fun. I have met so many girls from different places (4 different continents) and I have made friendships that will never end. I love RBC..

I'll be going to rockbrook for my third year this year:) They have everything a girl could want at camp! When you first get there you're greeted by your two counselors and other staff members (like Jeff, Sarah, and Jerry.) Then you can go to your cabin. Cabins are split into two sections and one counselor sleeps on each side. At the end of the session every camper signs their bunk bed with a sharpie:). They have activities for everyone (my favorite was WHOA- wilderness hiking outdoor adventure where you do "nature stuff" like roasting starburts and going to Rockbrook falls.) Not many people get homesick at RBC because there is so much to do! Also each person has a mailbox where they can receive mail from their parents and friends. It's about $1,000 dollars per week.

My girls have attended Rockbrook for the past three years. It is a wonderful, nurturing and encouraging place for girls. I love that it allows kids to be kids, silliness and all. No pressures of clothes, boys, cell phones, etc. It is also very inclusive and my girls have never had trouble making good friends while at camp. The counselors and owners know the girls individually and always looking out for the girls well-being. I have personally seen my daughter's confidence soar after two weeks at Rockbrook. She came home feeling more capable and self assured. It is a rustic camp, and exactly what you picture a camp should be. My daughter loves all the adventure Rockbrook provides from hiking and horseback riding to kayaking and mountain climbing. We have had an amazingly positive experience at Rockbrook. It has been worth every penny and we plan to send our girls there as long as possible!
