Speaking as someone who has been to fantastic summer camps and has had the misfortune of working at this one, I was shocked by how poorly Glenbrook is run. Majority of counsellors are high schoolers who are paid $4 an hour and couldn't care less, losing children from their groups frequently. Activities look good on paper but their execution is sloppy, at times dangerous (think unsupervised archery), and boring for the kids (most kids fake injuries so they can go to the health building and get out of the programming). When I was there children were given snacks that had expired TWO YEARS prior. Also keep in mind that 2 children have died at this camp (one from drowning in the supervised pool) and another camper was molested by one of the counsellors in recent years. Bottom line, it's just not worth $350 to send your child to the dangerous and mediocre daycamp. Their are cheaper camps with much better quality programming and better track records.

im 11 yrs old and i have been going since i was 6 years old and the camp has changed my life i have met so many great people and made so many memories that will stick with me for the rest of my life!

The staff put my 6 year old on a bus to go home when she was supposed to be in late care. They lost her for over an hour and told me that someone already took her when I came to pick her up. Worst, when I became upset, Larry Zeitz, camp director, screamed at me while I was holding my 2 year old daughter, so much so that the office staff had to physically pull him back into the office, and his last words to me were that he never wanted to see me or my daugther there again. I was traumatized, and received a pathetic apology from his father, and never directly received an apology from Larry Zeitz himself.

This camp was the most unbeliveable camp, I miss it. I had the time of my life here, and made some friends who will always be in my life. If I could I would work here part-time just for fun! -Andrew Frey

WGDC was a great experience. My dad went there when he was a kid, and then sent me. I actually found his plaque!

I've been going there for 12 years, since i was 3, and not once did i not want to go back...its my favorite place on earth and i love it all my friends are there and its my second home but closer...every year i cry on the last day and then i come home and make a countdown. as soon as you meet people there you fall in love with them and they automatically become family. "enter as strangers become friends and leave as family" I LOVE WILLOW GROVE DAY CAMP!!!

WGDC is the best camp ever! I have been going there for 7 years and I love it. Ive made so many friends and all the staff is so nice. Theres so many cool things at this camp. Water world and carnival day, its great, i love!
