So far I have gone on two wilderness ventures trips, and they were two of the best experiences of my life. My trip to Alaska was especially great! The small groups make the trips so much fun because you are able to interact with everyone on a more personal level. Also, the leaders are fantastic, they are so kind and encouraging and easy to relate to which makes the whole experience so much better! I would absolutely recommend WV to anyone wanting to get the experience of a lifetime.

Buyer beware! The calibre of your child's experience is directly related to the quality of the youth leaders -- and they won'd meet the leaders until they are in the field with them. Our daughter had one trip experience that was excellent (with excellent leaders). Her second experience was horrible. The leaders talked smack about other groups they had led, exposed the kids to questionable environments and discussed topics that were inappropriate with the campers. Night and day difference from the first trip, and a big waste of money...

Ruthless. We read the brochure, but certain info is either not stressed or omitted until you make the $900 deposit. Then, if the additional info doesn't suit your child, kiss the $900 goodbye. Talked with them on the phone, pleaded with them, got nothing for it. "Sorry, the money is non-refundable after Feb 1st" Well, we only heard of this company mid March, so the February deadline seems harsh. What about
just being nice people? Nope. Think really hard about sending your children to these businessmen

My 25 day expedition with Wilderness Ventures was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The leaders were fantastic and the friendships I made on the trip were incredible. I wouldn't trade my WV experience for anything!

This summer camp was probably the best camp I have ever been too! In my trip, we traveled around Yellowstone, ziplining, rafting, kayacking, and went on a multi-day horsepack trip in the backcountry. With only 13 students, and 2 counselours (David and Tina were the BEST counselours ever by the way, and I loved them so much <3 ) our entire group truly felt like a family to me. Our trip was only 13 days, but i made some of my best friends ever there, and miss everyone so much. We have already started planning a camp reunion! From the first day at the airport, when our conselours had us laughing at everything, and already bonding as a group, to the sad banquet on the last night where I had to say goodbye to my new best friends, wilderness ventures was the best trip of my life, and I am already planning my next trip, Costa Rica! :)

I went on a fly fishing trip with Wilderness Ventures. It was one of the best trips of my life. It was my first time ever fly fishing and the staff helped me the whole way. I learned how to fly fish and it was an amazing experience. I also met a lot of amazing people on my way.

Wilderness ventures has changed my life i now have a greater respect for the outdoors and a greater sense of belonging everybody took care of one another and it was like being in a family

Kate loved her trip with the highlight being her leaders. She thought they were absolutely amazing people and couldn't say enough good things about them. She loved the itinerary and can't wait to do another trip next summer.
