I have gone to CLW for the past three years and I intend to continue going there. Outside of leadership programs I have also done Camp Haunted Waters. When I first started going to camp in 2010, I had planned to try out all the Girl Scout camps in Pennsylvania, but once I went to CLW I had found the camp I belonged at.Through this camp I have made many friends. There has only been one bump in my camp experince and it was another camper. Counselors helped me with problems involving her and always got both sides of the story. All of the times that I have attended camp have been pleasant. The food is okay, but what else do you expect; it's camp food. There are bugs, but it's the outdoors.Counselors there really do care about making your camp experience great; they are there for you. They ask you what you want to do during the week on your first night. This camp IS worth your money. If you're looking for an awesome camp for your child this is it.

My 11 year old daughter spent last week at the camp. Her take away was that she liked it (mainly the other girls and the counselors) but never wanted to go back. I was a very hot week, with a heat index of above 100 most days, which made tent living a bit uncomfortable. The art supplies used for their "Project Runway" camp were very low end--I doubt they spent $10 in supplies for each girl, and the normal camp stuff they were supposed to do was limited to archery and 30 minutes in the pool each day. ( I would think the latter would have ben extended with the heat..)

I have been to CLW for 2 years now and have found it to be the greatest camp experience. Lots of fun activities and AWESOME horseback riding if you don't mind a walk. I can't wait till July so I can go back and I'm bringing a friend!! I love having international counselers. You can learn a lot from them. It can be hot and buggy but you know it's summer and that's how it is. As long as you keep a positive attitude and don't mind the outdoors, you will have great expieriences. I met a lot of new friends and learned alot of skills from camp. Parents who are reading this: please make sure your child is ready for camp and will not get homesick. It can ruin other campers time. Anyway, look forward to it and have fun!!

I've been going to CLW for 3 years, I was just a CIT, legit just got home a few days ago. The bugs can be pretty bad but that's what bug spray is for, and the bathrooms/showers aren't always wonderful but it's camp. I love camp so much, and the staff is really well trained and counselors try their best to let the girls help them with planning things that they want t do. I can't wait to go back.<3

I attended this camp a couple years ago. The activities were ok. The food tasted good, except for a few burned meals. Loved cooking over the fire, except that it took a while. The staff didn't work well together, and seemed only to get along with certain other counselors. May attend again, may not.

We have been to almost all the camps now under GSEP, and all of them are great. At Camp Laughing Waters they have a great staff from all around the world that are both professional and full of energy. They provide a wide variety of activities for the camper's to get involved with and my child thoroughly enjoyed all the campfires. My only complaint would be the lack of trees. I would definitely recommend this camp to other young girls.

When I dropped my daughter and her friend off at CLW on Sunday I was hesitant, the cabins looked as though they could have been on a movie set for a prison camp!there was a huge, active wasp nest on the outside rafter that i brought to the attention of a counseler, she was very nice and got a spray and together we got rid of it. i thought i had inspected the inside but my child informed me that there was another on on the inside next to another campers bed. they were walking on her mattress in the middle of the night. they informed the couselers 5 different times and they were told to go back to sleep.these girls sat up all night scared to sleep.the other 2 girls in the tent somehow got to call home and left the next day, but my dgter said other girls were crying to go home and were not allowed to call. the next night they were moved to another cabin and where there were no bees but spiders.I think they could improve the facilites.my child saved up her money to go here...what a waste!

I think this camp is great for people that like to train for the military. A) the camp doesn't give an efficient amount of effort in planning their activities B) the camp did not AT ALL have warm water (the knobs were completley tooken off as if the councelors wanted the campers to suffer from hypothermia) C) the mile walk to and back from a near 15 minute horseback program really stinks D) the food there is TERRIBLE E) i have to listen to homesick campers crying all the time (by the way they don't let their homesick campers call their parents) F) you can't have a cell phone and if you want to leave camp the only way is on pick up day G) nobody keeps the effort into making sure all the girls are and will be happy with going on walks and practicing archery and swimming. THATS ALL 7 reasons this camp is stinkish on a level of 1-10 i would rate this camp negative 9000000000000003

Despite being a Girl Scout leader for several years, this might be ONE OF THE WORST CAMP EXPERIENCES YOU COULD OFFER A CHILD! The brochure describes it as an enriching experience and a great value, yet the facilities are extremely rustic and the activities don't appear to be cohesive or well run. The girls had to walk over a mile each way to ride the horses for less than an hour and their pool time was spent teaching the other girls how to swim. The counselors (with the exception of a few Australian women) did not appear to be trained to deal with first time campers and some bordered on being unprofessional (threatening not to feed the girls, limiting their shower time so that they couldn't adequately wash & rinse their hair). My daughter became so homesick that she vomited, yet they refused to let her call me). Based on our experience, It would have been better to keep them home than to have them experience this.

This camp is a worse place to ever send your daugter. The camp director Captian does not figure out what really goes on and accuses the child who is actually innocent.i was a cit at this camp and she sent me home for actually doing the exact opposite as she claimed. If you are looking to send your daughter to a camp plase do not send her here.

this place was cool (ok), but i think i have a suggestion. 1. kids should get more f-r-e-e time away from the most boring activetys the camp people create. 2. the bathrooms- we shouldn't have to clean! 3. the counselers wouldn't let us sleep under the beautiful night sky at all and that obviously was not fair AT ALL! 4. other than that i enjoyed the camp! LAUGHING WATERS TRYED

camp laughing waters has an AWESOME horse back riding session. i went to that place last summer and had a blast! the horses were so well trained that when i went nobody got bucked, kicked, or thrown off (exept the instructer, but he knew the horse did nothing wrong). i luv. this camp and reccomend it to any girl willing to give a week of her summer to the camp! the staff were so nice and caring/ the falicitys were o.k./ the activetys as i said were AWESOME/ the people that look over you don't really pick favorites.

I loved this camp, but the kids there are sometimes homesick. HERES A TIP FOR ALL PARENTS READING THIS, IF YOUR KID WANTS TO GO TO CAMP MAKE SURE THEY WOUN'T MISS YOU! any way i loved it there i totally recomend the horseback riding camp. my favorite horse was Sassy she loved everyone! it is so fun to groom the horses and all that junk plus i got to sleep in a cabin, but any other camp section is in a horrible tent. there are alot of bugs so you might want to bring a swater. the creek there is clean and safe. i love to go down there w/ my bunk mates and catch small minos. of coarse we let them go. i also found a rusty horse shoe it looked very western if you go to the camp i just found it ask the people there i found it in 2008. anyway to wrap it up i really enjoyed my time at camp and made many friends i am coming back to this camp again some time so yeah, ... BYE!

I went there for six years in a row. I agree with the review that said it is way better then hidden falls which i also attended. At laughing waters the food good, with vegetarian options, the activities are fun and they help with home-sickness, if even present because you have so much fun you almost forget about missing anyone.

This camp is especially great for leadership programs, like CIT I and II and CPA. While the facilities aren't perfect, it's camp, what else can you expect. I love this camp so much.

I went here one summer for girl scouts @ 91' or 92', and our camp councelor (that we had to cal Bo-Bo) stole my swatch watch one night, when I asked her about the dolphin watch that she was suddenly wearing, she claimed she got it for her birthday.

Camp is run by Girl Scouts of Eastern PA. Can't beat the price: about $250 week. Emphasis on younger girsl; facilities are kind of basic, but the children really like it

This camp is way better than CAMP HIDDEN FALLS which is the other girl scout camp for scouts in PA. Camp Hidden Falls will not notify you if your child is injured. My niece fell off a broken bunk bed the night she arrived and no one notified her parents. They then forced her to participate in activities with the injured arm. Today her mom and dad are dealing with the horrible head lice and louse she aquired at camp and brought home and spread to her family. In addition, she said the bathroom facilities were disgusting! She went to Laughing Waters last year and had a way better time. When choosing a girl scout camp in PA, Laughing Waters is the better choice. Camp Hidden Falls should be shut down for negligence and for disgusting facilities that will get you sick with lice and louse and god knows what else.

laughing waters is SO much fun. there"s horseback riding, swimming, archery, great food, crafts, games, and tons more. the counselors there are so great, and they help you with anything. plus, you can do tons of different types of camping. you can do biking, swimming, wrangling, counselor-in-training,etc.etc.
