Click to report rating    7/1/14   1     2     2     1     1   I don't recommend this the couplers were grouch we were expected to change in front of each other and it was awkward it rained most of the time and my letters were ruined while it rained we had to sleep in Avery cramped indoor climbing area that we were told earlyer was for 5 people at once and inside was 10-20 people at once I never did get a chance to climb I recommend camp Hayward And Burgess instead RID: 47501
7/30/13   3     1     1     2     1   This was my 7 year old daughter's first time at Camp Wind in the Pines and it was a huge disappointment. She went w/ other local girls that were part of the same Troop, we had high hopes this was going to be a great experience for them. It is outrageously priced & the camp does not allow the younger girls to do hardly any of the activities. One of the most upsetting aspects for the girls was not having a private facility or bathroom to change out of their bathing suits. They were expected to go into a tent and change in front of one another. It made for a very uncomfortable week for all of them. The crafts that came home were ridiculous for what we spent on the cost of camp for one week - she came home w/ a black shaggy ribbon w/ what looked like galvanized metal rings - supposed to be a bracelet? Awful. I don't know if they're all like this, but its not even close to being worth the outrageous money we spent to send them there for one week. I would not recommend this camp. RID: 45430

First off, the staff are absolutely fabulous. They are some of the most kind, caring, creative, and funny people I have ever met. Campers sleep in platform tents. I love the feeling of the breeze blowing through at night. I feel so close to nature when I fall asleep. Campers also have kapers or chores so the bathrooms are kept very clean. Camp wip offers so many great activities such as rock climbing, high & low ropes coses, a frog ponf, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and tons of wacky games youve probably never heard of. We sing some crazy songs, and I can guarantee you that theyll be stuck in your head all year! This past summer I was stuck with a mean group of girls but the supportive staff and some other great virls helped me through it. I cried at closing campfire because I didnt want to leave. Send your kids here! This is a fantastic camp! RID: 40188

Click to report rating    3/12/09   5     5     5     5     5   Camp WIP has the best rock climbing and ropes corses out of all the Patriot Trail Girl Scout camps. Food isnt as good as Wabasso and Favorite, but still really good for camp food!! They have a large varity of camp programs so you'll deffinitly find something you like here!! RID: 29247
Click to report rating    1/13/09   4     3     3     4     5   My daughters have been for three years now. They have been to both residential and day camp. Very affordable but they spend a lot of time walking between activities- especially the day campers. The waterfront offerings are pretty limited for younger campers which frustrated my daughters. They both are asking not to go back this year (and they usually disagree on everything). Very nice staff. RID: 28585
