Click to report rating    11/18/11   5     5     5     5     5   Keowa has revamped itself over the past 5 years! Flush toilets in every camp site, new canoes, kayaks, lake trampoline, 16 position rifle range, 16 position archery range, trex tent platforms, new tents and frames just to name a few... if you havent been to Keowa in the past 5 years, you havent been to Keowa. Click to report rating    12/1/10   1     1     2     2     2   this place is OK,but I was supprised at the litter everywhere! if your thinking about going here for the dinning hall,don't.. TMR is a great Reservation, honestly go to Aquehonga that camp is beautiful, and the patrol cooking will grow you troop RID: 34520
Click to report rating    8/5/08   5     5     4     4     4   I have camped at 4 different camps and you can not find a better staff. Their energy and spirit and willingness to help is unmatched. With the addition of brand new facilities (toilets, waterfront, COPE) they are truly spending their money to make this one of the best camps around. The food service is horrible but there is always something going on everywhere. It wouldnt be a day at Keowa if Siesta wasnt full of Frisbee or football. I dont like that they let CITs teach MBs but the directors and sr staff are extremely knowledgeable in their fields. Turn over is a problem too. Any given year only about 30% of the staff returns and rarely does SR staff stay longer than a year or two. I plan to go back. RID: 25459
Click to report rating    3/1/08   1     1     1     1     1   I didn't like keowa the food especially it really stunk and I fasted for the whole week and only ate tradingpost food and salad and fruit because the food was sooooo bad I was scared of E.coli and I was soooooo homesick they didn't even have toilets oh yeah for the adults but we kids had to use STINKY STINKY LATRINES AND WE HAD TO CLEAN THEM a latrine is a bottomless crap hole with no running water and bareley any privacy I hated Camp Keowa and I am Never going back there RID: 20830
Click to report rating    11/12/07   1     2     3     2     2   honestly, it is an alright camp but not the best on the reservation. They are somewhat dirty, with garbage found around the camp readily, after camping at this and 2 other camps on the reservation, it is both mine and others opinion that it is not the best. There is a dining hall,m but it does not truly give someone the outdoors experience, whereas the camp called aquehonga is designed to help patrols gorw into teams. They regularly use facilities from other camps, and have had staff stay at other camps because of troops who wanted to camp at other places through keowa. A good place for lazy campers, but not the best place to send a child who is looking to grow. RID: 17026
Click to report rating    9/17/07   5     5     5     5     5   this is a very worthwhile camp ..the campwide games were fun ,but a single small watermelon is not big enough to find a troop of 34 so we went down to eagle rock and tryed to throw it into the lake well, we missed the lake by 6 inches...the staff was very enthuiastic, wen the had retreat the staff always had some type of skit which encouraged the troops to come up with there own, food was always good... Click to report rating    5/5/07   5     5     5     5     5   KEOWA IS THE BEST CAMP IN ALL OF TMR!! YOU CANT DENY IT BECAUSE ITS A FACT!! BIGGEST LAKE, BIGGEST FIELD, BIGGEST SPIRIT!! IT WAS A GREEAAATTT PRIVELIDGE TO SPEND MY 2 WEEKS IN KEOWA INSTEAD OF AQUEHONGA!! RID: 10563
Click to report rating    4/14/07   3     2     3     3     2   I hated my time at Keowa. It has the worst grounds I have ever seen. Although, I was part of the LDS Camp which camps before everyone else and we had to clean everything out for the campers to come after us. Good food! RID: 9706
