Click to report rating    6/4/16   5     5     5     5     5   As a former trip staffer, and with a son who attended, I would just pass on to other parents trying to find a great residential summer boys camp, that you'll have a tough time finding anything better. This isn't some high tech or intensively scheduled experience; this is quality time with others who become friends who then become family. And with a 2:1 camper / staff ratio, you won't find more support or challenge, or more choices, or safer supervision. Not inexpensive, but quality matters. RID: 49640

Click to report rating    7/7/13   5     5     5     5     5   I was a camper here in the 80's... some of my best childhood memories were from my experiences at Camp Nebagamon. This is a truly a wonderful place. RID: 45042
Click to report rating    6/24/13   5     4     5     5     5   Nebagamon is a remarkable place. Adam and steph excel at running a traditional wilderness based boys camp. They are simply fantastic with staff, parents and most importantly the kids. If you want pampered kids, manicured lawns, web cams and air conditioning...then send your kid to Pennsylvania with all of New Jersey and Long Island. If you want your boy to meet kids from all over the country/world, challenge himself, learn new skills, unplug, slow down and most importantly camp in some of the most magnificent wilderness east of the Rocky Mountains, then Nebagamon is the place. Well done Adam and Steph. Tradition, brotherhood, challenge, natural beauty, calm, peace.....Nebagamon . RID: 44868

Click to report rating    10/5/09   5     5     5     5     5   Camp Nebagemon is my son's favorite place in the world it is one of his most looked forward to thing of the year. If your son is a city slicker then you need to send him to nebagemon. It will help him understand how beautifual and quiet the world can be. I visited the camp last season and my favorite part was the food. It is the best. If your son is a picky eater then this will get him off of that streak. Nebagemon is the greatest place for any child. See you guys, Keep the Fires Burning! RID: 31229

Click to report rating    11/22/08   5     5     5     5     5   I believe that Camp Nebagamon is one of the finest camps in america. I currently go there and am truly a part of the camp family. The other campers there are all nice and non competetive kids mainly from Chicago and St. Louis. The staff are all really helpfull and kind and most of them were campers there 2 or 3 years back. To me, one of the best parts about camp is the tripping program. The camping trips range from short overnight trips to 2 week hiking trips on Isle Royale, plus the tripping staff are all really cool and layed back guys. All in all camp is a great place and i truly recomend it to anyone who is interested, Keep the Fires Burning. RID: 27634
Click to report rating    2/24/08   5     5     5     5     5   Camp Nebagamon is the greatest place on earth, i am a second generation camper. My dad and his bros went here and we all love it. The opportunities are endless and you learn so many new skills. This will be my 6th summer (2008) and i am dreading the day i can't return. KEEP THE FIRES BURNING N* RID: 20633
Click to report rating    4/6/07   5     5     5     5     3   Summer '06 was my first year as a camper, and I loved it. Not a lot of people go, but the counlers, and fellow campers are very nice. It is a tripping camp, and the trips are amazing. There is also family camp there. People from all over the world come. Last year, we had two from Japan. 2500/10. RID: 9481
Click to report rating    1/5/07   5     5     5     5     5   "Best camp in the country" sums up my feelings. I've never felt more connected to any organization in my life. This camp was an incredibly positive experience for me. I learned about interpersonal relationships, values and ethics, the outdoors, and a sense tradition. Camp Nebagamon shaped my childhood more than any other singular experience. I know that most campers feel the same way. My proof: if I walk around Chicago for a day wearing my "Nebagamon" sweatshirt, a stranger will invariably introduce themselves and share their own stories about Camp Nebagamon. In this way, ex campers "keep the fires burning" as we used to say on the last day of each summer as we roasted smores around a camp-fire. I wish every day that I could be 10 years old again, sitting with my fellow campers in the Northwoods of Wisconsin at my favorite place in the world. RID: 6498
