This is a great summer camp! The staff are very nice and the cabins are clean and fun. The activities are guaranteed to make your child laugh smile and learn new things! The staff have the outermost attention to your child that always go out of their way to make the campers feel welcome and happy! This camp is expensive but well worth it! You will have the best summer of your life and will cherish the memories forever!

My daughter has gone to Rocky River for 6 years now, and loves it more than anything. The staff is incredibly attentive and encouraging, the cabins are wonderful, and the entire atmosphere is wonderfully rustic yet safe and updated. Truly a beautiful camp, with the old fashioned sleep-away experience along with an amazing leadership program. This place really has taught my daughter real-world skills without her even realizing it! If you are unsure about sending your child I assure you it is worth it.

My daughter just returned and had the time of her life--she's already planning on her camp experience next summer. The staff and campers were all so warm and friendly. It was worth the 12 hour drive from out of state. I thoroughly recommend!!

My daughter has attended RRR for 2 summers (1 wk, then 2 wk) and she loved it both times. Great choice of activities, caring counselors, good facilities. Love the emphasis on belonging to and working within a group while also stressing independence.

My daughter (13) didn't feel well and no one took her seriously until she had a 102 fever. She asked to call home and to go home but nobody would let her. Campers are not allowed to call home they told her. They made her do the activities while feeling sick. The beds are hard, with ants and lots of spiders. There were big snakes in the river. (I know , this is camp, and it comes with bugs and wildlife) The girls had to sit one hour in 95 degrees fahrenheit before they would swim every day for one and a half hour. Even though she told them that she was sick! They tell the kids that if they hide a cell phone and are not turning it in they will be sorry later. What is this? The mafia? Bootcamp? Thanks to RRR my daughter will never go to camp again. It could have been a great experience, just don't get sick!!) They will not call the parent, even if your daughter is complaining for three days about being sick. So sad.

My daughter loved her time at RRR, and this summer we're sending her back for two weeks. It's been nearly a year and we're still hearing new camp stories everyday. In five days, I couldn't believe how much confidence and independence my daughter had gained. The staff are excellent--my daughter is already planning to become a Rocky River counselor herself one day. There are wide variety of activities, and the girls are encouraged to try new things, and of course the location on the Blanco is beautiful!

When things go wrong at RRR, the staff didn't know how to respond to her empathetically or communicate openly. I'm sure most kids have a wonderful time at RRR, but you need to know that the staff is going to call you if things are not going well and be honest. That didn't happen! I didn't send my daughter to boot camp. We paid for pricey sessions, only to be told half truths. She was yelled at by Liz and told she wasn't allowed to complain of being sick anymore . Staff was making the decision about whether my daughter should stay, rather than calling her parents who should ultimately make the decision. She was in poor health upon return home(staff thought it was psychological). I was never notified of her vomiting. She returned 10 lbs lighter :( Meals were slim. There was one day when they were fed either a donut or biscuit for breakfast. Dinner was a potato & salad bar. These are not decent meals for active middle school girls. They only followed activity schedule for two days.BEWARE

RRR is amazing!I love it here. the counselors are super caring, and all the girls are fun and interesting.Once in a while, there will be a girl who is a lttle mean, but you just have to try to avoid them and hang out with your real friends.I keep in touch with at least 4 of my friends from camp.I love free swim and rest period. Hey have an excellent leadership program. If you need anything, the counselors will get it for you. The nurse always hands out the meds, and is always on time. The directors, Liz, Rue, and Shanna are some of the nicest people I know. They let you choose your activities, so you really get the full feeling of camp. I love Cowpoke and Wrangler drawing, and Moview night is super fun. ONe girl got sick in my cabin and got to go home, but everyone knew not to say anything, especially around the homesick campers. The food is AMAZING! I went to camp for three weeks this summer, and it was the best three weeks of my life. Each time you go, it gets better and better.

My daughters have attended RRR for the past 3 years & loved it! The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable. They provide many fun activities for the campers. The camp sessions are pricey but you really get your money's worth here. My daughters plan to attend this camp again this coming summer.

My daughter loved this camp - the counselors were fun. She loved learning about the horses and was asked to be in the show. Synchronized swimming was also a favorite. There was a great mix of activity and down time. The cabins are old and rustic but that's what makes it a place beautiful. She has many fond memories at RRC!

I loved RRR! The staff really payed attention to what you had to say. They would listen to you and they really cared. Before every activity that your cabin did together, they would count and make sure that they had all the campers. The facilities are great! A couple of the cabins by the river had a bug problem, but the cabins away from the river were fine. One of the bathrooms did get ants though, but we sprayed some bug spray and they were gone by noon. I loved the activities. You have 4 activities a day that you can choose, and free swim, which everyone goes too either at the pool or the river. You don't have to get wet though. You can sit on the side. Rocky River is affordable, and it's monetary value is excellent!

I have been going to RRR for 4 years now. I love it! It is the best camp in the world. I have been able to convince my cousins to come, and they fell in love with it, too!!!! The counselors are extremely cool, and the staff is very nice. It is SOOOOOOOOOOO fun! I highly recommend it to girls who want to try summer camp. The food is yummy, the cabins are rustic (but have AC and bathrooms), and they have activities to suit almost any personality. (Kayaking, dance, arts and crafts, drama, archery, and scrapbooking to name a few.) I plan to be a CIT and Counselor at RRR!!
