My niece recently went to Camp John Island and I have to say I'm duly unimpressed with the staff and camp as a whole. She was bullied/chased to the point that she had to hide in the woods while she was tormented to no end by other camp members. Never send your child to this over priced camp full over privileged under trained staffers.

I liked the activities a lot, and my counsellors were really fun. I had a really great time, and I can't wait to go back next year. I didn't like the bathrooms because they were smelly and full of bugs. Most of the food was good, but there were a few things I didn't like, but I ate them anyways. The beach is really nice, and so is all the water equipment. I was able to stay with the two friends I requested. The campfires that were held some nights were pretty fun. I made a lot of new friends and I can't wait to go back.

I went with our school and it was really fun I have alot of great memories, And I think it was neat only thing was alot of walking in the sand and it got annoying because Sand got into EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING your sleeping bag to your Shorts and I went like a year ago and I STILL find sand otherwise good foor nice cabins but Smelly Pee Towers for the Girls it was gross and the Rub-a-Dub Should be a bit easier to wash your hair in because when we tried we banged our heads into the Concrete and it hurt alot also they offer Vegitarian Meals for thouse who do not like or eat meat. and they are yummi and the staff is nice. andDONT BRING FOOD IN YOUR CABIN OR A MOUSE WILL ATTACK YOU! they attacked the guys. and Flying squrille attacked the big cabin, FUN FUN FUN!!

I absolutely did not enjoy this camp. I was placed in a cabin with kids on average about 4 years younger than me.

it's a pretty good camp and i love most of the people there but the pee towers stink.
