Great camp experience. My daughter is there for a second year. Facilities are nicer this year as an older camper. They are good overall. Camp is a bit expensive.

My son did session 2a and 2b, he was there for 4 weeks and totally loved it. He will be back next year, it was also a very good experience for us, easy drop and pick and great service from the staff. The only thing I would like to see from them is to have a Dad's weekend :).

We just finished our 4th year and Camp Mason and my kids loved it yet again. The staff is caring and attentive, the kids have lots of chances to explore. My daughter loves the nature center, my sons like the cabin games and low ropes courses. They aren't forced to play team sports, which none of them enjoy. They get a lot of fun for a really good price.

This was our first experience with sleep away camp and my son enjoyed it very much. I was afraid that 2 weeks was too long, but he loved it and thrived. He came home much more independent and confident. We're definitely sending him next year and my younger son as well!

The best camp ever! My 3 children spent the summer there and cried when they left. They can't wait until next year. The staff is amazing and so are the activities. WOW! We've tried a couple of camps and this is by far the best.

This year will be my sixth summer at camp, and I can honestly say it is my favorite place to be on earth. The people here are some of the nicest, most supportive people you will ever meet. Ive made some of my best friends here. I can't wait to be a counselor in two years as well. I love camp mason!

I have attended camp mason for three years now. I can honestly say it is my home away from home. My friends and I count down the days until the start of camp. We post numerous statuses on our facebook group "camp mason: the happiest place on earth", talking about how excited we are. I have yet to meet a child who goes to camp, and returns home unhappy. We are a family, and the friends I've made there, I know I will keep for a long time. :)

I worked at this camp as a counselor in 2009. It was a great place where the staff worked together to make everything go smoothly. The cabins are modern and comfortable and the facilities are well taken care of. There is a large variety of activities that are interesting to the children and teenagers who attend the camp and everything is both varied enough and comfortable enough from year to year that everyone keeps coming back!

I was the Teen Programs Director in the summer of 2010. This camp is fantastic. They have a variety of activities that touch on any interest that your child may have. The directors are friendly and very passionate about what they do. Staff training is very extensive and they make sure that safety is in the forefront of their staff's mind.

This camp is no ordinary camp. As a staff member there, I felt more at home than I do at my actual home. Here is where you make friendships that last a lifetime, discover who you are, and get to express who you are, without judgement being passed on you. It has honestly made me want to work in camping-related services as a career.

I attended Mason for 8 years as a camper and worked on the staff for 2 years. My sister was also a camper and my mom worked on the staff back in the 1970s. Camp Mason is truly like one big crazy family. It's such a fun place to be for all (staff and campers alike). The staff are really dedicated to their campers. Mason is a place where campers are taught to develop independence in an atmosphere of wise freedom. There is a wide assortment of activities for them to try. Each day in addition to the classes they set at the beginning of the week, they have free time to roam from activity to activity (though always under the watchful eye of the staff). As a camper, Mason influenced my development into an independent individual with good values (the camp emphasizes the YMCA's core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility). I highly recommend Camp Mason for any child. They are guaranteed to have a great time, make tons of new (sometimes lifelong) friends, and grow.

I have been going to Mason for 4 years and wouldn't want to do anything else over my summers. It truely is the best way to grow as an individual, gain confidence, and have a blast! It taught me independence that you can't learn at home or school. For 2 weeks (or a month like I usually go for) you are away from everyone you know and technology. And you don't even miss them! By the end of the first few days you will have already made great new friends and become comfortable with your counselors. You will absolutely want to go back the next summer and think about camp all year round! I can't wait to come back for the summer of 2012! See you all then!

I've been going here for what will now be 5 years and each year I've made tons of new friends. It has absolutely everything! (Except Quidditch, but I'm working on it ;)

Camp Mason is an amazing place to learn, grow, have fun, mature, and stay young at heart. As a staff member going into their fourth year, I have made so many unforgettable memories with amazing staff and wonderful campers here. Mason is a safe place where you can strive to be the best version of yourself. I think you would be hard pressed to find another camp with the passion and dedication to providing the best possible experience for families. Mason truly is a place where friends quickly become a second family. I can't wait to make even more memories in the upcoming year.

I have been to this camp for 3 years , and it literally changed my life. I've never felt so at home at this camp , and was never once bored. I learned independence and skills that I never knew I had. The best part is that I gained friends there, that to me are like family. I met my best friend at camp and have kept in touch every single day since we met. You would be stupid not to take the experience of becoming a counselor or camper. I'm sure whoever you are and whatever age you may be, you will have an experience you will never forget.

Camp Mason is a beautiful, magical place that helps shape a child into the best person they can be. The staff are dedicated to carrying out Camp Mason's mission. Every encounter with Camp Mason is a life changing experience. This summer, I recently took part in the CIT program where I learned all about the hard work and effort put into each and every hour of the day. I was inspired by my wonderful CIT directors as well as the Camp Director Don Jennings, to be my best self, so as to encourage others to do so as well. I was inspired to be the best counselor I could be, so that I might make one child's life a little better, so that they could experience what I experienced at Camp. One of the things I really liked about camp when I was little was that everyone takes the time to get to know you there, so as a counselor this summer, I too took the time to get to know as many people as I could to show them that I cared. Camp Mason changed my life forever, and for that, I am eternally greatful

I've always had special memories of Camp Mason from when I went there years ago so when my boys were old enough I sent them for the camp experience. My older son (now 12)loves the friends he's made as well as learning about the outdoors. My youngest son (now 9)loves everything about camp. He has ADD and is treated differently at school but at camp he's just like everyone else. He loves the choices of activities, the outdoor nature hikes, making friends and making people laugh at the camp fires. He knows all the staff and everyone knows him. I see such a change in him hen he comes home. He's happier and calmer. His brother is more independant and responsible. The staff is very caring and when my youngest had a touch of homesickness kept me informed handled it brilliantly. I'm so happy that my kids have the same opportunity I had to go to camp and that the love that I have for this place is shared by them and that the quality of camp is still outstanding.

I didn't know that summer camp actually existed until I went to Camp Mason this summer as a staff member. I thought it was something that was portrayed in movies as an amazing atmosphere for kids to be whoever they want to be. I realized this summer that Camp Mason is the epitome of letting people be who they are. I fell in love with being able to do so many different things and helping out all over camp. This is truly a great place and I have started writing a series for my local newspaper about sending your kids to summer camp and the amazing things that they can do there because the experience is top notch and a great way to teach responsibility and how to care for others. I hope I get to work in this wonderful location again next summer.

this place has literally changed my life. for an entire month i was separated from all the stresses of living just to be around supportive camp staff and really nice campers. the setting is gorgeous, right in the center of a thick wooded area. the cabins are so home-y and beautiful. i love this place, it just makes me happy thinking about it! i don't think there is anything id rather do at one time then be riding Pheonix (one of the camp horses) through a trail with all my best friends. from jumping off trees and swinging 150 feet into the open sky to kicking back in the barn, camp mason is the ultimate experience. there's no distractions, like computers or cell phones or anything like that. camp forces you to make your own fun, and you discover your own true talents and creativity in the meantime. not to mention the camp food is amazing. bottom line, this camp is incredible, fun, amazing, and worth every single dime. I LOVE CAMP MASON <333

This past summer was my first summer as a counselor at Camp Mason and I absolutely loved it! The staff were great to work and live with are now some of my best friends. All of the staff were truly top notch and not only really cared about each and every kid, but also spent time with each kid too. The activities and facilities were all great and were something that I would expect for a great summer camp. The one thing I did not expect before arriving however was the incredible sense of unity there. Camp Mason is a tight knit family with long time campers and great traditions that have been around for many years as well as brand new campers and traditions. Every kid seemed to fit in and have fun no matter if it was their first or seventh year. It was an amazing experience to be part of something so great, and it truly was my best summer ever!

Great facilities! Lovely grounds! Good food! MANY activities, and what wonderful values they teach in this age of expectation - good old fashioned camaraderie, respect, and togetherness. So great after my seven years as a child I sent all three of my children, each of whom attended for several years. I am still friends with people I met 40 years ago!

I started at camp mason in 2001 when i was nine as a camper. the first week i cried, all week. then a counselor suggested that instead of missing home i take advantage of the opportunity of being at such an amazing place because most of the people in the world do not have this chance. I now impart that same advice to my home sick campers. Camp Mason is my second home, it has thrust me together with some of my closest friends in the world and every single summer comes to mean more and more to me. I attribute who i am as a person to this camp and those who have been graced by its presence.

This past summer marked my seventh year as a camper at Camp Mason. The reasons I keep coming back are the wonderful people, the amazing friends you make, the fun but tough-when-they-need-to-be counselors, the talents you discover that you never knew you had, and just the overall wonderful camp experience. If you are on the fence about coming to Camp Mason, I would definitely say go for it, because I guarantee that you will not regret it!

It's the best place in the world because everyone you come into contact with, staff member or camper, pretty much become friends and your second family. If you're looking for fun this summer, Camp Mason is the place to be! "For the days that turned into nights, and the friends that turned into family"-Camp Mason <3

I have been a staff member for the last three summers. I have worked with multiple age groups as a counselor and most recently as CIT director. Camp has been a life changing experience for me and this was because of all the people I met. The people I worked with became family. Each of them were wonderfully genuine people that brought with them unique talents and experiences from many different backgrounds. Because of this, I think it allows for camp to be incredibly open and accepting of all people. There is someone for each camper and counselor to look up to. There is something for everyone to do and be good at. The kids that come are amazing individuals that taught me life lessons about friendships and caring. They became like little sisters and brothers, and my main goal was to make sure that each of them had the best summer ever. The most rewarding part of my job was working with these kids, and it was absolutely a privilege and honor to be their summer camp counselor.

Camp was home away from home - there are so many people you can meet & become close with! Not only do bonds begin forming between the campers, the friendly CIT and counselors are always there to support the needs of the campers. It fells almost as if they're a camper too, but older. What was said about the people, staff, and campers pretty much explains itself! There are also so many activities to choose from; things that you may not always find back home like zip lining, high ropes, horseback riding, skate park, creative anything, and so much more! Plus, the food there isn't so bad if I do say so myself (coming from a camper). Probably most people's main concern: the cabins. They're clean, especially after cabin clean up. All the cabinmates pitch in to mop/sweep the floor, shower, sinks, toilet, etc. The mattresses are bleached in between each session for sanitation. The bears in the environment are harmless, so there's really nothing to worry about when you're at Camp Mason!

Camp Mason means so much to me. It's impossible to explain how much Camp Mason has become a part of me in only 2 years. School can be fun, rarely, but it can be. Unfouranately there's always people around you that you need to worry about. You're afraid of what they'll do if you act any different from what they want you to act like. Camp Mason is different. Camp is where you get to be yourself and free of harsh judgement. You can express yourself in whatever way you want and not have to worry that you'll be labeled into a group. Everyone is equal. Being cool doesn't matter, being the prettiest doesn't matter. It's about who YOU want to be, not how others want you to be. Camp Mason is really an experience every kid should experience. It may not be the best place with an olympic sized swimming pool or top rated food, but it's perfect in its own unique way that makes the time being there, worth it. :)

Camp Mason is my second home, it's where I met the best friends I've ever had. I've been going for 5 years, and I want to come back as a CIT, and then a counselor. This year I did the ranch program, and it was the best summer ever. The counselors are so nice, enthusiastic, and fun to be around, and everyone looks up to them, and your friends turn into family. Mason is a place where everyone tries to be the best person they can, but at the same time, people can be themselves and everyone will love you for who you are. I like the fact that everyone can pick their classes, because campers can try new things and do things they want to do. If you do ranch camp, there's an educational component because ranch campers can take a test at the end of the session on veterinary skills, horse breeds, riding technique, etc. If they pass, they get a neckerchief, which is an honor recognized by the entire camp. Thanks for reading my review and I hope you come to Mason! :)

After coming here for the last three years, soon to be four, all i could think about during the school year was going back every summer.I couldn't wait to see my friends and, as i like to call them, my second family. Every year it gets better and better for me. I remember my first year there and i was so scared, the second day i got into the swing of things and made friends with campers and counselors. I loved it so much that i told my friends about it and when they went, they loved it just as much as i did. If there is one thing i love about camp is the lifelong friends i make there.

CAMP MASON WAS DA BOMB! I felt that it was my second home! I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great time even on the weekends. Although there is chapel there, it is ok not be religious for it is only about the 4 key features of camp like caring. My friends actually helped out! The staff is nice all the time and the activities are great although some are open to seniors like High Ropes. There is also a really fun game called Gaga that everyone places. This is my second home.

This was my 13 year old sons firt time at sleepaway camp (2 week session). He didn't want to go to sleepaway camp and was really nervous about going. I knew it would be a great growing experience and I was right (better than sitting aroung all summer playing xbox). He said that he loved the camp and has asked to go back next year. He did rock climbing on face of a mountain, tubing down the DE Water Gap, caught 4 fish, made a hobo meal over a campfire, played capture the flag in the woods etc. Great extra trips for a traditional camp! The camp had something for everyone. The camp counsler even called mid week to give us an update on how he was doing. I am very happy that I sent him and will register him for next year.

My 9 year old daughter just returned from a week at Camp Mason as a first year camper. She had a fantastic experience with only positive things to say, and this is coming from a "glass half empty" kid. I was really impressed with how professional and organized the entire camp is. The staff and counselors were all friendly and my daughter liked everyone she met, especially her counselors and cabin mates. The cabins were great, in good shape and with their own bathrooms, sturdy bunks, very clean. She even liked the food! The activities sounded great and she enjoyed all of them, including an off-site trip. I was really nervous sending her off to camp for the first time, but Camp Mason was a fantastic fit and they took great care of her for the week. I was really impressed that someone from the camp called me mid-week to give me an update of how she was doing; this was a really wonderful touch and set my mind at ease. She will be back next summer!

I LOVE THIS CAMP! I've been going here since I was 10, so four years now and it's the best camp. I've been to another one, frost valley, and I didn't like it. But Camp Mason gave me a sense of confidence, idependance. I'm a multiple, so I've always had to share friends and live in my siblings shadow, but here I broke out of it. I am now a strong confident person. I also have made sooo many friends. But camp is a place where you get to be yourself. You can be who ever you want and no one from home will know. The counslers are great, and even the food's good!

In response to the person who prefers Lohikan, I think camp is all about how you look at it. Maybe if you were a little more outgoing and positive, people would become friends with you. It appears to me that you have a negative attitude. I bet if you didn't have it, you'd have fun like virtually EVERYONE else did. How can you not like Camp Mason? Just a warning; anyone who expects to come to camp and instantly be the most popular kid there; don't get your hopes up. If you're not the most popular at school, chances are, you won't be that person here either. But everyone is nice whether you're popular or not. That's the difference between camp and school. So why don't you go back to Lohikan? We don't need negative people like you hanging around our camp!

The activites are horrible. There are like 60 activites to do, but half the time they are only open to seniors! The cabins suck and I hate the food. The people there are not very nice and I defiantly did not find the true friendship like I did at camp lohikan. I LOVE CAMP LOHIKAN!!!!

My kids all had a great time, loved the staff and met lots of new friends. Cried when I picked them up and could not wait for next year to attend.

I LOVE CAMP MASON!!! I always have a great time at camp, and I go back every year! The staff are all really nice, and there is a great mix of diverse staff and campers! This summer, alone, I had 5 out of the 10 girls in my cabin from Spain! I love CM and would completely recommend it to everyone!
