Just awful in every respect. Counsellors are exceptionally mean (many having had to be fired this year, including unit heads and specialists as well as cabin counsellors), there are very few activities (no ropes, no tubing, no archery, no nothing really), and horrible camp admin communication. My daughter's letters were read and some were not even sent, her packages were withheld for long periods of time, and the camp director and board chair threatened to kick her out of camp when they learned my husband and I were researching other camps for the following summer. Unless you hate your children, I would not recommend sending them to this camp.

MY kid was bullied the whole time he was there! The staff seem inattentive and mainly because they seem unmotivated. That was the impression that it seemed like on visiting day. Many more camps between Ottawa-Montreal-Toronto that provide much better facilities and better bang for your buck!

The atmosphere at this camp is absolutely amazing. Everyone feels like family. There could be more activities and better equipment but overall it's great.

I went to CBB from 1980 to 1991 and loved every minute of it. Now our son is a camper and loving it.

I was a camper and a staff member at CBB of Ottawa from 2001-2008... It is amazing camp that created memories that will last a lifetime.

I was a camper, staff and supervisor at CBB for over 10 years and I absolutely loved it! I never felt more at home and truly discovered myself at camp! Such a positive environment to grow up and to work. I wish every child could have this great camp experience.

My kids went there for years. Now they are staff. The camp keeps getting better, and better. It has experienced year over year growth of 10% or more every year for 5 years, and has enhanced its offerings and facilities. Absolutely wonderful!

My children have attended for years. The camp offers them fun, friendship and good feeling. the camp has great traditions and a great history. I cannot recommend it more highly.

2008 has been a fantastic summer. My 2 boys are enjoying every minute. The staff is incredible, and the director is even better. Programming is great and the spirit is unbelieveable. We LOVE CBB Ottawa.

After a bit of a down year in 2007, CBB of Ottawa replaced its director, and all of its senior staff. Old staff that had left have returned, and the best of existing staff were kept. The result? A fantastic 2008! Kids are spending more time at all of the specialties, most especially waterfront and the pool. The staff are happy, and that has translated into happy campers. The food is fantastic. Both of my children are there, and have been for some time. They report that this is the best summer in years, and with senior staff set to return, CBB of Ottawa is on the move!

This camp is so much fun ! I have been going there for about 9 years, I'm a camper and its like my summer home! I think going there for a while kind of makes it normal for me. Back when i was younger the staff were much older and the activities were more "professional". Now, i guess the staff are much younger and less experienced so the activities are much more held in a leadership kind of way.I think in the past two years camp has changed in the way that new kids aren't attending very much because all the kids have been there since they were young and or have siblings who were there long, also because they don't feel welcome because staff are often just "young campers" who have basically just "graduated" being CITS. I think with a new director in the summer of 2008 the camp will really grow and become more of a success than in the past three years because of the less experienced directors.

I love camp! this will be my fifth year and I'm super duper excited!! The only thing about the camp is that some kids get away with stuff that shouldn't be gotten away with. Overall, CBB is AMAZING because it gives you memories that can last a lifetime and a reason to look forward to the next summer

CBB ROX!! I can't wait to go back every year starting from the second I leave!!!! Everything there is fun and everyone is awesome from campers to supervisors, from the staff to the director of the camp! I LOVE YOU CBB OTTAWA!!!! DON'T EVER CHANGE!!!!

This will we like my fourth year and i love it everyone rocks! everyone is kind and they have great staff and activitys and my mom said if she could she would go back! i love this camp im going to go to till for as long as i can and i will even send my kids there! it's the best camp ever! i cant even dream of a better camp! this camp rocks and i love it!

I went to this camp for Camp Freshwind '07 it was awsome!! However i've only been there once (Camp Freshwind '07) ,so i may not know as much about this camp as most of you do.

There needs to be a higher quality of staff hired.(older staff). The waterfront program is very weak. Kids at Cbb do not get as much waterfront activity as competing camps. My son waterskiied once! Not enough boats or waterski staff! The Camp needs 2 directors to be run properly.

I went to this camp for 12 years. I am now sending my 2 children for their first time. I know that they will love this great place as much as i did. I am actually very envious that they are going. I would love to be back there also.

Camp B'nai Brith of Ottawa is an amazing camp!I went for 11 years and now my son is going.I have lots of friends who have already sent their kids and they had an AMAZING summer! Not many camps can boast an olympic size pool AND a gorgeous full beach/waterfont! Looking forward to another 11+ years with my kids!

All of my 3 children have attended this camp over the years with my youngest now being a first year counsellor. They have all loved CBB and could not wait to return each summer. The facility is excellent (huge pool, waterfront, gym, rec hall, dance stage, Kosher kitchen, etc.) and close to Ottawa. The size is perfect, with everyone having the opportunity to know each other, both campers and staff. Compared to other camping options, it's a great value.

I attended CBBO from 1975 to 1985 ... my 9 year old daughter is going this summer. The camp is awesome ... GREAT tradition, GREAT activities ... FRIENDS FOR LIFE ... A perfect rating!
