Chickami is a place that is welcoming of everyone! The staff attempts to make the experience great for every camper and finds much success. The facilities are primarily outdoors, which is something that many other camps lack. There is no other place with as much spirit and love as Chickami. Friendships flourish in this camp environment and many people, including myself, have made life long friendships and connections there. Chickami has made a lasting impression on so many lives and the spirit that embodies the camp is ingrained in the staff, campers and the camp grounds. I've truly had my best summers ever at Chickami!

Went here, and had a very bad experience happen to me about 3 years ago. Do not go near the climbing place, unless it's low ropes.

As a Camp Frank A Day Camper, Chickami does not seem that amazing to me. It is good for a day camp, but for any camp, frank a day is much better

This place is truly the best place on earth! Good old fashioned summer fun! The staff is amazing. All 4 of my kids attend and love this camp. Can't wait for summer to start!!

Chickami is a camp with rich traditions, a competent and dedicated staff, and provides an unmatched level of freedom for campers (while still maintaining the "safety first" motto). I have been going to Chickami for 12 years, and I can definitively say that the spirit and enthusiasm of the staff and campers has had more positive an impact on my formative years than any other camp or institution. Chickami raised me and my friends, and I am proud to say that the tradition of letting loose in the great outdoors lives on even in this day and age of technology and unfounded paranoia. Chickami lets kids be kids, and allows children a unique chance to explore and develop their strengths and interests, and become confident individuals

Chickami is the AWESOMEST camp ever. My friends and I have been going forever and have NEVER stopped loving it. YOu stay active, have fun, and make great friends. How can a camp get any better than that? The staff are all extremely nice, active, and fun. There are many varieties of activities from swim to archery to nature walks. This camp is probably better for kids who like more independence, with the free periods, and multiple choices.

This is a very unstructured camp and is probably only best for very confident, assertive kids who like being able to run their own show. On visiting night, it was hard to distinguish the counselors from the campers. They all have fun, clearly, but perhaps a bit more adult guidance and presence would help.

2008 marked my 13th summer at Chickami. Personally, I don't believe there is a better day camp in the entire word. Many day camps out there are either run by schools or are specific sports camps that hire staff for single summers who lack the dedication and usually look at their camp as a job. Chickami embodies the spirit and tradition that is found mostly in overnight camps because the kids and staff alike make Chickami their life from late June to late August. I noticed it when I was a camper and now experience it as a staff member that the staff has just as much fun and cares just as much for the competition and tradition as any camper does. While it is good to see the same faces back summer after summer, returniing campers get no special attention over new campers. Chickami lacks high-tech facilities, but it is used to our advantage because the kids spend 90% of the time outdoors. Chickami is a great place to grow up because it encourages risk taking and builds strong friendships.

Chickami is a very high-energy camp that places a high value on camper spirit and collective enthusiasm. Parents who prefer structure should be forewarned, however, that supervision can range from adequate to laissez faire all the way to downright sloppy. Outgoing, assertive kids are sometimes allowed to dictate the tempo of the camp -- particularly during less structured periods -- resulting in an unfortunately "Lord fo the Flies"-like experience for kids who are a little more reserved. By all accounts, the camp has been run like this for a long time, so don't expect things to change. Not a bad camp, just not for everyone.

Chickami is the best camp I have ever been to and I have been there for 6 years. It is also the most spirited camp EVER. The counslers are great and really nice and they make sure you have the best summer possible every year. There are tons of events (special and normal) games, activies, leuges, overnights, and stuff to keep everyone busy. It is mostly outdoors which makes it great and a lot of fun. Every day is a great one even when it rains. I definatly reccomend it to anyone because it will be a summer you will never forget.

I've been going to camp for 6 years and am now a Counselor at Chickami. Honestly, Chickami is the most fun I have every year. I even turned down this scholarship leader camp that was free to WORK at chickami! Send your kids here and I can assure you they will love it!

Cam Chickami is the best camp in the world!!! the games are awesome and soooo creative. the facilities are a bit dirty, but there arent many cause its almost completely outdoors, so it doesnt matter. Go Oaks! Bus E Rules!

Neither of my daughters liked it. One of my daughters was left at the pool with her friend (the rest of the group left without them) when she was 6 years old. My daughters tend not to like field games, color wars and unstructured hanging out as much as other kids do. Kids that like that are happy here.

BEST CAMP EVER!!!! overnights are always fun! Conselers are CRAZY! even though they try to move people to camp F.A.Day, by "F.A.Day Overnights" it's still awesome! Bus D& Hickory rulz!!!! :-P

Camp Chickami is the greatest place on Earth (take that Disney World!). The staff are some of the nicest and most enthusiastic people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting/working with. I went to camp when I was six years old (back in 1989) and am still going strong, thanks to all of the parents, kids, and staff that step foot on that fantastic piece of property out in Wayland, MA. Camp Chickami is a place that relies on good ol fashioned outdoor craziness. Between the sports leagues, endless energy, and, of course on those rainy days, the mud, there is never a dull moment. Even though Camp Chickami is a day camp, they also offer overnights during the session to give the campers a chance to extend their Chickami-time (and to give the parents a well-deserved night off). As I stated before, Chickami is the greatest place on Earth, and will continue to be for many years to come.

The greatest camp on earth. It is possibly the most popular in the greater boston area and it shows because it sells out within the hour of going on sale every year. If you have an outdoorsy, creative, or even just a kid that wants to have fun, send them to Chickami for a life changing experience.
