Summer staff are underpaid. It's a shame, because some of the jobs are genuinely fun, but since summer staff make under $200 a week it isn't a job for a college kid trying to pay off student debt. Additionally, the personnel is understaffed and they don't seem to ever know what is going on. The only reason you should choose this as your summer job is if you have family that plan on vacationing there (nice price slash for family) or if you are in it for the experience... most of the staff are great people and the location is fantastic. Be prepared, though - summer staff have to work pretty hard for those few dollars.

More resort than "camp". Very nice vacation for whole family all ages. Lots of activities. Good food. Gluten Free options. Much improved facilities. It used to be very rustic which is why it has "Camp" in its name. But no longer rustic. The staff were very accommodating and very nice.

looking forward to summer of 08. NOT THIS CAMP IS THE WORST AND I AM NEVER GOING BACK EVEN IF I GOT PAYED. I WORK HARD FOR 10 MONTHS A YEAR AND I EXPECTED A FUN SUMMER. THAT SUMMER TURNED OUT TO BE JUST AS BAD AS SCHOOL. SO IT WAS LIKE 10+2+10=22 MONTHS OF WORK NONSTOP!

i went there for 8 years. but i didnt really like it. mii mom made me go. the people are soo mean this girl i no told me i was fat adn should die and the cousalors agreed. but mii mom still tiped then 50$ dont ask why if your considering going to this camp yuo should maybe try bluerill.

i went to tapawingo (the all girl part) & hated it!! they made me eat food that literally made me throw up then after that i still had to eat that food! can u believe that? & the staff was not nice or understranding & they would get mad at u for anything u did! there was a girl in my cabin who liked to stare at me when i changed & i hated that it was disgusting! i asked her to stop & she didnt (she was also ugly & fat) for all u girls---u should go to camp cherith in corinth, ny ( adirondacks) it is way better in every aspect i <3ed it there and it is Christian 2 if u like that but no matter what guve it a try b4 this camp

COTW is awesome. I spent three summers there, and it was the best time of my life. I wish I could go back again. It is a Christian camp, but it's not weird or anything over the top with religion. There are a lot of great counsellors and I made friends who helped me change my life for the better - WAY better. I don't know what I would have been doing now with my life if it weren't for COTW.
