Camp Shady Brook in Deckers Colorado is one of the very best YMCA camps!!! I am a cancer survivor and spent the weekend with other survivors. I believe we all found a wonderful sense of freedom, discovery, inspiration and a passion for life thanks to the guidance of the wonderful staff. They provided professional instruction, understanding and an overall consideration of the differences we all brought to the table. The food and accommodations were super too. You will not be disappointed if you spend time at Camp Shady Brook :)

I'm a camper and I am returning for my fifth year. So are me and my brothers. One of my best friends is also coming with me. I love this camp and everything about it I'm leaving for camp in 12 weeks and can't wait to have fun, meet my horses, and reunite with the counselors. To any kid or parent looking for a getaway, Camp Shady Brook is the place for you. Anyone can go this place is not just for kids, families, and adults can go for retreats. And it's no like your living in tents. I always make new friends, and keep them for years to come. I can't wait to go!! I'm literally bouncing of the walls. 12 weeks yay!!! ?? We learn, do water sports, and trail rides or available for campers who have not signed up for horse masters. I gave my second home this rating because I love the staff and activities. Facilities are great and food is fantastic. I hope you bring your appetite. I will become a (CIT) and give the next generation my once in a life time experience (Counselor in Training

This camp is unbelievable - from the Director to the kitchen staff they really go the extra mile to make sure you had a great time. My kids will deffinitely be coming back!

My daughter loved camp Shady Brook. She is still talking about her time their 3 months later! Will definitely be sending her back next year! Kudos to Shady Brook and the wonderful staff!

I am a parent, have seen many camps, and know that Shady Brook is a special one. The staff are top notch, kids make friends, learn new things, and have a great time. They don't want to leave when we come to pick them up at the end of the week. If you are looking for a camp in Colorado, Shady Brook gets my highest recommendation.
