Do not send your children to Camp Wright. During Christmas in July session in summer 23, multiple 20something staff members were fired for drug and alcohol use (LSD, mushrooms) mid week of the session. No notice was sent to parents about the drugs or firings, as they were scrambling for interim staff.
Gets worse, Camp Director Julia had no idea during this drug induced night that the high counselors went into cabins, including my sons, for a dance party. Other inappropriate conduct happened, but it involves minors and the authorities are handing.
Why is an adult (not a 20something) not on watch at night?
Queen Anne’s Sheriff was called and investigation started and on-going. Want confirmation about this issue- call them.
The camp has still not publicly acknowledged this on hopes that only the older campers know. Litigation is coming their way and Camp Director Julia knows it.
Please do not make my mistake.

Literally the best experience of my whole life. I had so much fun. Some of my best friends I've made there. It is AMAZING. If you're thinking about going, GO. Definitely the happiest week of my life, hands down.

I was a counselor and camper at Camp Wright, and my daughter has been a camper there for four years. We love Camp Wright and recommend it to everyone. She has a serious food allergy and we were able to work with the kitchen staff to be sure her meals were safe. The cook (who is excellent!) went over and above to make sure my daughter knew what foods were safe for her, and we filled in the rest with a box of shelf-stable meals from which she could choose. She had a great time and I love knowing that the staff there are so dedicated to her health and well-being. She has made life-long friends and truly has the spirit of Camp Wright. Camp Wright or don't camp at all!

My three daughters have had the pleasure of attending this camp for 3 years in a row. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this camp. In fact they are looking to apply as couselors one day at this camp. Close to home, but feels like home while you're there. Awesome Staff too. Food is great as well. Send your child, you won't be disappointed.

I went with my girl scout camp and it was really fun. Although it was pretty windy at night wich made it hard to sleep it was really fun.

Ok so camp wright is soooooooooo much fun! i love it there. all the counslers are really really nice! the only thing thats not so great is the bathrooms... but i mean whatever like you dont even notice them when you are there... i didnt really know what personal attention or monetary value meant so... anyway! if you dont go there you should! its the BEST camp ever! :)

i went to day camp as a child. i am in middle school adventure day camp right now. i also go to overnight camp. when i'm older i plan on being a counselor for day camp and overnight camp. camp is fun, clean, and pretty much an amazing experience. cabins are split into two parts [boys/girls] and there are woods cabins too. you get the real feel for camp @ overnight camp because the cabins don't have air conditioning or electrictiy [except lenape which is a girls cabin. i've been assigned to that cabin for 2 years.] there are 7 classes, 3 meals a day, rest hour right after lunch, canteen, free time after classes, morning/evening devotion, flag-raising, chores and so much more. its a wonderful experience for every camper. oh, i forgot one of the most importent things. on the last night of the camp week, there is a banquet where campers get awarded and after that there is a dance!!! camp wright is soooooo awsome. you've gotta come!!
