Do not send your child to this camp under any circumstances. Multiple children where abused here and this can be verified with a simple search on the internet. I myself was abused and when I reported it to the staff, they stated they would deal with it. Instead the following day I was kicked out of camp for breaking a minor rule that many other campers broke without getting the same punishment. I found out the counselor still worked there for years after this situation. The people who run this camp has not changed so I tend to believe policies have changed as they had multiple counselors doing these things. I will say, the facilities are amazing, so if the camp is ever sold and procedures change, this camp has potential.

I worked at this camp in 2006 and have to say that compared to working at a summer camp in New York, prior to working at this one, this camp was poorley run and disorganized. There was no electricity in the cabins, campers were not encouraged to have water bottles and water was not provided on hot summer days. The counselors schedule with activities and events for (ex: Fourth of July) was not organized. As far as no electricity in the cabins, cabins were given lanterns or flashlights that hardly worked or did not work at all. The food provided for the camp season was not good and needed improvement. I also think that after working at two summer camps that some disipline for campers should be a priority, the summer cannot be just spent being a "big sister" to the campers, also dealing with problems or conflicts with campers that might arise, more detailed training should be done to teach counselors how to handle conflicts or issues among the campers.

This is a great camp because the non-profit corporation that runs it really cares about its campers. The goal of the camp operators is to build character. In addition to the usual activities of swimming, sailing, hiking, singing around the campfire, doing crafts, etc., there are Bible studies and work projects. Campers are encouraged to think about how they can help others. Highly recommended to parents who want to give their kids more than a summer holiday.

I haven't been to many camps, but after being here, there is no need to even think about going to another one. I love it here. I am very sad that it is going to be closed this summer, I hope things work out so that they can open up again next year!

This camp is poorly run. I had a very bad experience when i worked there. Facilities are very run done. Some of the counselors who gave swim lessons admitted they were very poor swimmers.

Lovely lakeside setting, genuine counselors. The downside is that there is mandatory Bible reading and long Chapels, sort of forced. Also there is no opportunity to develop an activity for a week; electives are just daily
