My son was teased and it was due to the camp releasing his medical information on a list to other campers. Counselors were untrained. Their solution was to let him ride it out !! This is an irresponsible leadership and an unapologetic one . I requested verification to be sent to the state and the owners lied about what happened!! Beware Michael! He is two faced . This is a hands off supervision when it comes to bullying and mean spiritedness

after 5 years. we are finally taking our son out of greylock. what a mess. poorly run, frighteningly unresponsive to parent issues, food terrible, and worst: allows bullying to run rampant. I never would have thought this about greylock but its just not the best choice out there anymore. in hindsight i wish i had picked brant lake.

Camp Greylock is the class act of sleepaway camps! My son fell in love with the camp upon visiting and his love for the camp grew exponentially as a first-time camper. The camp teaches boys to be good friends, good sports and good children overall. The owners and directors know the kids personalities, likes/dislikes--it's a genuine relationship and connection. My son felt at home in every sense of the word. The sports instruction is phenomenal--specialists with real credentials to instruct your boys how to become better athletes at their sports and better sports amongst their friends and competition. The kids are all good athletes but more importantly they come from great families and are genuinely nice boys. My son focused on the sports he wanted to focus on and attempted new activities that he never thought he would like and received encouragement during all of the training and development.

I am a few years removed from my last summer at Greylock. With time I've realized how special and important this place was and how eternally grateful I am for the person it developed me into. When you step through the stoney gates you are welcomed into a family that does everything in its power to help you develop as an athlete and as a person. Jim, Lucas and Michael are all molders of great men and have done a great job being the cornerstones of the camp. Lastly (and I don't know if this remains true) you come to Greylock if you want to win, during my tenure we were churning out tournament wins on a regular basis with many of our top athletes eventually competing at DI and DIII schools.

I went to Greylock for 5 summers and I made some of my best friends there. I originally went to mah-kee-nac which was terrible. One of the camp owners Lucas taught me lessons I will never forget in life. Unfortunately I did not behave well and mid JR summer was asked to leave didn't go back my senior year, looking back now they did the right thing for everyone not a day goes by where I don't dream about being back at center lake with my brothers and that I do not regret my actions. I will always be a Greylocker until I die. would recommend going here to anyone. Its not only a sports camp but the friends you make here are unlike friends you make anywhere else. We as Greylockers share a bond that can't be described. Also red and grey is unlike anything I have ever been a part of. My final statement is that my experience at Greylock was amazing would recommend it to anyone.

This is my son's 4th summer at Greylock and he couldn't wait to return. The directors do a fantastic job of just about everything. They are tremendously responsive to parents but are not push overs, they really do what is right for the boys as a community. The sports instruction is top notch, but this is more than sports, it is about creating well rounded, mature and respectful young men. The two weeks after my son comes home from camp he is so well behaved (and then we mess him up again....not the camp's fault). However, this is a sports camp, if your son is not interested in sports then this is probably not the camp for you...but if your son loves to play (and he doesn't have to be good...just want to play all day) then you can't go wrong with this camp.

I have worked at a few different sleep-away and day camps- and I can say Greylock is different. I know parents initial worry is the staff. The counselors at Greylock care so much about the camp and kids.

I worked at this summer camp and it was the best experience of my life. I would definitely recommend it to any parent. If the summer was this amazing for us working it has to even better as a camper. Even with long work days, greylock always had some fun activities to offer and beautiful facilities. The owners really get to know you personally and take a personal interest in every staff member and camper! I can not recommend this place enough! Deserves 5 stars@

I go to this camp to this day and I love it. Everything is great! It is a true paradise. You are missing out if you are not there. I will go back as a counselor and spend as much time as possible at Greylock.

I spent 3 summers within the gates of Camp Greylock and the were the 3 most defining summers of my life. I was not a camper but a counselor. I worked at 3 other summer camps before going go Greylock. And from the start I could tell that it was different. Their was a 10 day training period were the owners themselves would meet with us and help us learn ways to deal with children and what was expected of us. They said that it was going to be the hardest job ever but if we were prepared for it we would drive out of the gates changed people and they were right. I had never worked at a camp were the owners took such an interest in the staff. They even knew every ones names within the 10 day period and their were 200 of us. All I have to say is that your children deserve to be at a place were the owners care about who is working with them. I love Greylock it is my home away from home and the summers of 08,09,10 were the best of my life.

going into my last camper summer at camp, being by 7th summer. i can say that there is no place like camp greylock. it is truly my 2nd home and i have so many brothers there. every single person, camper and counselor, are nice and are awesome

I worked at this summer camp last summer, and I can say, without a doubt, that it was the best summer I have had in my life. The staff is full of great characters, and people who I'll never forget. They are excellent with kids. The level that they connect with each individual child is incredible. They legitimately care about the needs of the campers, and it is due to the treatment they get, and the mood the directors set. The Camp itself is beautiful, and the facilities are top of the line. I honestly did not think a summer camp could be so well kept, clean, and overall astonishing. It is a bit on the expensive side, but trust me when I say this, it is worth every penny. I have met brilliant children, and amazing counselors that I will keep in touch for years to come, and hope to see again next summer. If you send your children here, you can expect them to come back home as more independent, confident, athletically skillful, and friendly individuals.

This summer was my first working @ Greylock. I am a high school teacher as well as a college professor and the way this camp is run is fantastic. The kids at the camp are are extremely respectful and are taught the correct way to succeed in life. I can honestly say: If you are thinking about sending your son to Greylock, Do it!

I attended this camp for 8 summers and it is by far my favorite place in the world. The friends I made, the experiences I shared are things that I will keep with me my entire life. I would choose to be at Camp Greylock for just a day than anywhere else in the world

As a former camper, I cannot say enough about Camp Greylock. The life lessons that I have learned after 6 years of camp will never be forgotten. The counselors are unbelievable people who really care about their campers and the directors/owners run the camp very efficiently. The bond of the campers are unbelievably strong and will never be broken. Greylock is a paradise for children and my only complaint is that I didn't go for a longer time. If you are looking to send your son away for the summer there is no better place then Greylock, I can assure you. I would do anything to go back to be a camper and still think about my time's as a camper everyday. The sports at Greylock are serious, but at the same time fun. The thing I love about Greylock is it is a place where you don't have to fit in. The friends I made at Greylock are my best friends in the world and my brothers. Red & Grey is the most thrilling experience i've ever taken part in and i'd never trade Greylock for the world.

Previous director--Bert--was outstanding--really cared about thw campers. new directors/owners, in particular, Michael (shoret man) was hostile and inappropriate to certain campers--not a camp for boys who don't put sports first--mostly kids from new york--personally saw a child being verbally harassed by one of the camp's owners--

Camp Greylock is amazing and red and grey is a great way to end the summer. I will never forget all the great times I had there. I will also never forget the Yammer. I will come back to Center Lake as long as possible.

There Is NO better place in the world than Camp Greylock. I dream about going back each summer. Not only do you improve in sports but you make friends that you will never forget and learn lessons for your future. Red and Grey is the Best thing I've ever been apart of. Being elected a lieutenant was a real honor because i knew i grew from being a little ranger to a sophmore. If anyone is looking for camps I highly suggest sending your kids here. SENIORS '10 !

I went to this camp 3 years ago and had a average time. I made a couple friends and overall had fun. Unfortunatly I had valuable property stolen from me, one of my couselors hated our entire cabin. I was made fun of often by campers and staff. And I decided to never come back. This camp is for only certain people and i did not enjoy it

This is, hands down, the greatest camp. My boys are doing amazingly well and I could not be more pleased with the camp as a whole. The directors are hands-on and doing everything right, the staff is professional, enthusiastic and warm. The facilites are top-notch and every summer on visiting day it is apparent how much money is being put back into this camp. If you are looking for a boys camp, you cannot go wrong with Greylock if you want your boys to learn good values, have fun, get true instruction and be provided with the tools for the summer of a lifetime

Camp Greylock is more than a camp. It's an entire community and family. I understand this is ridiculously cheesy, but it would be difficult to find anyone who spends their summers within the stony gates who would disagree. Although I miss playing on Court 1 and catching numerous touchdowns on the senior field, I miss my summer family the most. I have tons of fun at home with friends here, but I'm nowhere near as close with them as I am with those at Greylock.
