I was a camp counselor for Camp Wayne For Boys, and it was such a life-changing experience! Amazing staff, campers, and just an astonishing environment to spend your summer in. They really put an effort to develop a sense of family with so many people - even across the world - and it makes me know that I have someone in my corner no matter what. Priceless experience!

I've worked at this camp going on 5 summers. It is my happy place. It's an experience I think everyone should partake in. The facilities are amazing and there is something for everyone. The staff is wonderful and takes the time to get to know their campers and fellow staff members. I love that at least half of the staff is international so you learn so many new things from people of different cultures. If you are looking for a summer job where you get paid to have fun and build your resume, this is the place to be.

this camp ruined my life. Diversity level was zero, not a single open LGBT and campers of color were no where to be found. I was bullied for 7 summers. i wasn't athletic enough and no body paid any attention to me. Counselors who were once campers encouraged name calling and putdowns and wanted to be cool just like the campers. Im not saying this camp isn't for anyone, but if your child doesn't fit into the mainstream, and has been picked on in school and not driven by competition and sports, then try a camp thats more about diversity, inclusion and being yourself.

I've attended camp from 1973-80 as a camper and from 83-88 (missing a year or two along the way) as a counselor. My four sons have attended since 2004. I cannot say enough about Camp Wayne. It has been family owed since 1953. From the owners to the staff and all in between, it fantastic place. Parents should have extreme confidence that their child will be well looked after and have a great camp experience.

Camp counselors beware: If you want to work 20 hour days, 6 days off the entire summer, to be robbed through over taxation (they took at least $400) and to become an underpaid under appreciated babysitter please work here. I met some cool people though. I wouldn't recommend this camp to my worst enemy.

It was a bad experience all around even though the girls' camp is nothing short of amazing. I could not recommend this camp to anyone.

my brother is literally OBESSED with camp. thats all he talks about and its his 2nd summer. he said he will go back forever. I've been going to the girl side for 6 years and its my favorite place on earth. both wayne for girls and wayne for boys are AMAZING camps and anyone who goes to either should be so fortunate and grateful for spending your summers at this amazing place

This place is like home to so many people including myself. This will be my 6th summer here at wayne. My friends I have made here will be with me forever. The athletics at this camp are amazing and everyone is competitive. Best overnight camp ever!

This will be my son's 6TH summer at Wayne. I love the owners - they are very hands on and will work with you should any problems ever arise. The staff and instruction are first rate. There is a heavy emphasis on sports, and quite alot of compitition, but no boy is ever excluded do to ability. This was one of the things that drew me to this camp in the first place. I would highly reccomend this camp!

Best camp ever :-) i worked there for four summers and loved it. The staff are great, the directors are awesome and really care about their staff and campers, and all the children have an awesome time. Great facilities and just an awesome all-around place

Absolutely amazing camp. I went for 10 years and loved every moment of it. This is the place to send your kids no matter what. Even though they do place an emphasis on sports nobosy ever feels pressure to do anything that they don't want to. I started out doign very little sports as a young camper and know from experience that they will be the best of friends to children on all types. The facilities are by far the best out of any of the other camps in Wayne county and the counselors are always there to help (well I was one of them). From day one to the end of Color War your children will be smiling. In the end Camp Wayne is the best camp in the country - no objections!

Great all around camp with an emphasis on sports. Family run and operated for many years. Large emphasis placed on counselor and staff interview and selection process. A camp with a lot of heart and a lot of fun!
