This coming summer will be my 5th summer at FVL and I can easily say that it is one of, if not my favorite place to be. I have made friends that I hope to keep for a long time and memories that will last forever. Every counselor I have had has been amazing. I have done both the ranch and traditional programs and they are both phenomenal; the activity selection for the traditional program is vast and fun. The camp's ranch programs not only teaches children how to ride but about the horse and how to take care of one. I can safely say that I will be returning to this camp for many years to come as a CIT and then counselor; it is truly one of the best environment I have been in.

I send my son to this summer camp for one week and he came home saying it was the****tiest camp he has ever gone to. He wasn't even able to go to the bathroom with out a buddy and councilor in the same room. He said the councilors were rube and cursed off a lot. He send he spent more time lying in bed and cleaning toilets than doing activities. He asked me to write this review to let everyone else know how bad it was there

I've gone to Fairview Lakes for The Family camps and it was by far the best time I ever had. Even my 5 year old cousin loved it! The food was amazing the staff were hilarious, and the activities were super fun(The giant swing and the zip lining course is my favorite)! The next summer I decided to go for a week and it was the best decision I ever made! I made friends instantly and had a great time! The cabins a very big and the mattress' were comfortable. Also the bathrooms were attached to the cabins which is a plus! I did the creative arts camp but I wouldn't recommend it because all you did was stay in arts and crafts all day. You had the decision to go to acting or dance for your first period but I wasn't interested. This summer I'm doing a week of Ranch camp and a week of Fairview discovery(which is just traditional camp)and now I'm counting the days till I go back! I would recommend this camp whether for summer or for family camp! Its great for for all ages!

I have gone to this camp for 4 years and I have had the best time of my life. I have made the best friends, memories, and tried the coolest things at this camp. The activities are amazing, and being the city kid I am, I tried all of the water activities along with the Giant Swing (an amazing new addition to the camp), and the climbing wall. I swam multiple times each day. At this camp, the staff is amazing, passionate, and spirited and will help you if you are homesick. The counselors have been returning for years and years because we all love it so much. I had one friend who has been going to camp for all of her life! Lots of campers, have parents who went for many years. I always got lots of attention from the camp directors and my mom would email them if she was worried about different things and she would always get an immediate response. It's very clean, not expensive, and all over, this camp has changed my life and I will return for many more years and return as a counselor. <333

My daugther attended camp with her school for a 6th grade trip and returned for a week of Ranch camp the following summer. She loved both visits to the camp and wants to return next year. The staff was very attentive to my daughters needs, the facility was well maintained and organized. I was happy to know my child was in a safe and fun environment.

i came here on a school trip and it was one of the worst camps i have ever seen.i basicly starved the hole trip because the food was so bad. the beds were as dirty as anything and the activitys were sooooo boring!!! so because i don't eat crap off the ground i don't come here.

i have been going to this camp for 3 summers now and it is the most AMAZINGGG camp i have ever been to in my life.Fairview is my second home and everyone is just one big happy family.color war is just so much fun and that is deffinatly one thing that i am looking forward to next year. GO SIOUX!

I went to this camp for 6 summers and it holds so many great memories. I have been to other camps before but none compare. There are many activities to do, where the campers actually choose what they want, food is good but of course it'll never beat moms cooking and all the staff are there to make sure the campers have a good time. I'm older now but i still kept in touch with camp friends n past counselors n i can't wait for my next chance to go back to the place i loved so much. This place definitely helped me improve on my nature skills as well as social skills. Camp is a great experience that every child should experience at least once.

I've been sending my kids here for 5 summers now, and it is by far the best experience of their lives. The memories they are making now will be with them forever, and the whole year revolves around COLOR WAR!!! GO SIOUX!!!

Hands down, this summer camp is top notch! The camp director (Mark) has been there for a long time, knows all the campers and parents, and runs a seamless program. The other staff are mature and are very well trained. I have no problem leaving my kids there for the entire summer. The grounds are beautiful and the lake is stunning. This camp is less than half the price of a private camp and is twice as much worth the value. The food is very good and the variety of camps and programs that are available keep my kids busy, happy and learning new things year to year. The tradition and spirit of this camp make it even more special. You can't go wrong with this place!

This camp is an ideal place to send your child. While the facilities may not compare to camps that charge thousands more per summer, this camp allows for a relaxed summer filled with bonding and good memories. Tradition is key at Fairview, which helps new campers learn to adapt to the ways of camp and learn new skills or practices. Staff are enthusiastic, personable, and reasonable. An update to the cabins would be beneficial to the camp's appearance. Sailing is arguably the most popular program, the lake is a beautiful place to spend hot summer days. Completely worth the price.

One of the cleanest camps that I have ever been able to see, enjoy, and experience. This camp is one for all ages, and is very diverse, a great environment for children due to the excellent staff on hand. This camp is the best camp I have seen to date, and expect it to be the best for my life and children's.

Fairview was ok; i've been going there with my school since 2nd grade, and went to Ranch Camp a few summers ago. (MArie is amazing, she's actually my science teacher at school now!) but i don't like how your have to say blessings to god before every meal, and some of the actuvities are boooring.

Went with my school for a few days as one of our grade trips. The camp itself was really nice. However, i would question some of their ideas at the camp. The majority of the activities were great, and the hikes showed an excellent view from the mountain top, but there were some activities that were just flat out boring. Overall, an excellent camp.

I love fairview lake. Ive been going several years now, and its totally amazing. This year im going second session and im sooo mad i couldnt go first too, cause thats when color wars happening this year! Color war is amazing. Go sioux!! Fairviews life, and i miss you guys soo much! Id totally reccomend this camp to people.
