The camp facilities are new and my 8 year old daughter raved about the food. Her cabin counselor was only semi-encouraging to the girls to meet one another and get comfortable. I think there should be some activity to make intergration easier, particularly for younger children which may feel apprehensive not knowing anyone. Everyone we interacted with was nice, the nurse insanely helpful (my daughter has a reflux issue and sought her out daily to ensure she had medication). The food choices are healthy. The activities should be better organized or perhaps have kids sign up for specialized segments so they can be guarantted to do the activities that matter most to them. She swam daily, but didn't get to visit the zipline (which was high on her list) and no archery (also high on her list). They also have a night that is spent sleeping outside, this was a huge negative for my daughter, and I have been told that this year it will be entirely optional. She will be returning this summer.

I have volunteered at this camp for 12 weeks of my life and I would never have changed a thing about this camp. Who does'nt like the beautiful redwood forest? I would recomend the CCOSS program over the summer camp though.

Camp Campbell is a safe, well-structured environment. There are classic camp acvities, in an incredibly beautiful setting.

I went to this camp this summer, 2007, with my friends emily an james.. this was the first summer camp i attended and it was so above my expectations. the teen 1 week adventure camp is so fun! we hiked 12 miles to the beach and camped out on the way. i made many friends who i meet with regulary to catch up on things. i expect to go next year,too . :]-Darlene

Camp Campbell is a fantastic place. We participate in family camp and our kids have attended summer camp for years. Scotty and his staff change lives. I couldn't imagine sending my kids anywhere else.
