Staff is intimidating. Most basic scout camp offerings with nothing special and usually only one time choice so you have to chose one badge or another. Better scout camps in this part of the state.

Camp Mattatuck has been an amazing experience for me. I attended it for many years as a scout and am now able to continue enjoying it as a volunteer and summer staff member.

Love Mattatuck. Have gone for about 6 years as a camper and 2 as staff. The program is different from other camps (actual troop activities instead of all merit badges, but there is plenty of time for merit badges). In my opinion, that is the best way to run a camp so that the scout get the best experience in a week. Also, the food is great, the staff is helpful, and the facilities are amazing!

Good sound scout camp with wide selection of merit badges to complete. Food excellent, only camp with a private on duty chef! I have been a scout leader attending for 3 years with my troop. New building finished.

One of the finest camps in all of New England. The camp has not one but two lakes that are NOT shared by other land owners like most others. The food is top notch. Waterfront activities are abundant. The individual camps are well laid out and spread far enough apart so as you can not hear other troops activities going on. The staff is well trained and living in the true scout laws.

Are you kidding? Whatta deal!! Great facilities&super staff. Better than when I was a kid in scouts!! Food is way better, staff now more knowledgeable @ how to teach skills to young scouts- overall excellent!

I had a horrible time! The staff is lazy, their is no personal attention and the facillities need a major facelift. The program ia average with nothing really special.

Camp Mattatuck is the best camp i have ever attended. the staff is the best and most mature scouts and scouters 15+, and the camp offers incredible programs for those who attend. the facilities are great and constantly improving beyond expectations, including the new 60 foot climbing tower with 5 faces, and many, many more. There is much fun to be had, things to be learned, and friends made here.
